you need to change your product key to the one on your COA
Click Start, type slui 3, press on enter

    Additional information:

Computers, which are built by large manufacturers provided with pre-installed Windows are supplied with 2 two product keys:

OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. (that's why you had no need to turn on your computer after you brought it home)

COA SLP: it's the product key that you see on the sticker on the side (or at the bottom, [or in the battery compartment]) of your computer. It is a valid product key, but must be used only in certain situations (for example, if the OEM SLP key stops automatic activation for a reason any). The key must be activated by phone. (Note: all manufacturers that use the SLP OEM system are bound by contract to include a certificate of Authenticity sticker (COA), which has a COA SLP key, on the computer)

I use Windows 7 Ultimate 32 - bit of 2 months. I don't have any problems with it so far. After an automatic update failed, it gave me error 0xc004f200 code. Help, please!

Interesting - not that it matter that much because your facility is certainly a forgery.

The key used is the infamous Lenovo stolen key - which was blocked even before Windows 7 was released and was never legally enabled on any machine.

For which version and edition of Windows is your machine under license, according to the COA sticker on the case (or in the battery compartment.)

You will need to reformat and reinstall using legitimate media and key.

All pre-installed machines need to have a COA sticker in an accessible place - most laptops made over the past year or so had these stickers inside the battery of compartemnt to protect the fom abrasion damage.

See this page for examples... http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/howtotell/hardware.aspx

The key used here is a key to the retail - and as such it would NOT have been on the machine such as delivered by its manufacturer.

the HP Mini 110-3000 seems to have comes standard with WIndows 7 Starter installed - which means it's probably an Anytime Upgrade, or a regular upgrade key.

This has nothing to do with Office - I've certainly never told - and until you have done, I had no idea, that it has been installed.

    Hi Gerry

Sorry not been back but my lappy won't let me do anything, my browser kept just close after 30 seconds.

I took it to our local store and they said it's a common software problem and I needed to contact microsoft, I have on my PC got to them and with a link has managed to get in my lappy.

they were doing things for one hour to be fixed and made faster for me, apparently the keys change for different downloads, they found the product key was not something like the one I had.

So thank you for your help and advice

  • My copy is not genuine, or is it a virus?

    Hey everybody!

I paid what I still believe to be a professional to install Windows 7 on my system, and it has worked great for over a month now. However, this morning a small balloon pops up saying "Windows is not genuine. Click this message to find out how to get a real '. And my desktop image transformed into a simple black with the words "this copy of windows is not genuine" stamped on the bottom right. The terrible grammar in the bubble makes me think it's a virus and not that I have been scammed by my computer guy. I'm terrified to click on the message. I do run all my virus scanners (etc.) and to come clean and am support upward once again just to be sure.

    So, what do you think?

My computer is infected or just not authentic?

It may be a virus. Try to download Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org). It catches most of the fake antivirus and fake security alerts. If this does not work, you could have gotten a non-legit version. But, if the grammar is bad, it may very well be a virus.
