I send on my account by default, but they receive from another account

He has recently started to happen myself. i.e. I get an email to my business email and click on answer, send that and then I get THEIR next response to my personal email! When I return to check, I see that it was sent by my personal e-mail!

Gmail has an interesting oddity. It can also apply to other e-mail providers, but I've never tried see multiple accounts on other services.

If you have 4 Gmail accounts, say that A, B, C and D, each must have its own specific SMTP server settings. If you have configured the account has then added B, it is likely that Thunderbird will be offered you the SMTP you set up during the creation of account A. And while it does not display when you compose a message, if the B account uses SMTP account, the message being sent "from" account. And a reply to this message would be addressed to your account.

The solution is to ensure that you have 4 settings of the SMTP server for the accounts A, B, C and D, and each account is configured to use the appropriate SMTP server. It is important when creating the various settings of the SMTP server to name them if you tell them apart.

    I have the same problems as well. I called GoDaddy support. They say they have been making a lot of calls in this the last two days. I was told that there is a problem with the captain El security and mac mail can't pop. The solution was to create a new Mac with IMAP e-mail account and simply wants to another POP account for the search.

    I've also found that some people have unchecked "automatically detect and manage account settings" in the Advanced section of the preferences mail for pop e-mail.  Save the changes when you close the Mail preferences, and everything should be good.

    I have not tried yet, as I have always been with IMAP and Windows and Android. But all my colleagues are using Mac.

    2: Create a new sent items and Outbox.

    Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

    In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

    After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

    Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

    Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

  • Mac Mail can send but cannot receive mail.

    I have been in contact with my technical support of Verizon.  There is no problem to an end, but my Mac Mail account can send but not receive mail.  What happened three times during the month.  Each time than previous, Verizon has found a problem locally, for their purpose and in a few hours, it has been corrected.

    This time the problem was upstream at the highest tech people.  They told me that there must be a problem of registration with Mac Mail and I need to contact Apple.

    I tried physician connection without success.

    If someone knows a solution, I'll start here before you contact apple support.

    I've never had a problem with Verizon email on my Mac. In your case, Verizon has already said that they have been twice at fault. I'm guessing that this time is not different.

    I suggest you contact Apple support if Verizon has completed its investigation.

    This error is often associated with folders created by the user. I seem to remember that a user facing this error discovered that he had reached the upper limit on the number of files.     BlackBerry Curve 8900.  Despite the backup in advance the 5.0 installation always messed up my SETTINGS and programs as in the past.  This time, I find a new calendar called by default instead of using the existing calendar based on the name of my e-mail account that I sync with my iMac.  Now all my appointments have been made and nothing in my own email.  I have appointed my old calendar by default, but which seemed to have made no difference.  I'm never, ever going to level again.  It screws up everything and backup (I do it on a PC) does not completely protect my existing configuration.  I wish that RIM could not understand how to upgrade an operating system while leaving your settings and software only.  Other systems seem to be able to do.  Really, I prefer to use my smart phone more to settle.  I hate to be grumpy, but he has so much time.

    Sorry, but I found the solution I need.  I did a different search that has sent me to a document that told me how to merge calendars.  you open the calendar go to the menu > options' when it opens type 'MOVE' (IMPORTANT because it threw me for a while, there is no window for typing, just type). a menu then asks if you want to merge all of the calendars that works then.

    I must say that the book is full of (incomprehensible to me) reasons, why the upgrade mess with your setup in the first place.  I have an ipod touch and upgrades are seamless.

For example, I have deleted hundreds of emails from one of my computers, but they still came into my account from one of the other computers. Maybe I don't understand how parameters work?

    IMAP only multiple devices to synchronize because it is based on the server. POP only downloads the messages from the Inbox to the server and stores them on the local disk. There is no communication to the server on the deletion of messages.
    You should learn the differences between POP and IMAP to decide what works best for you.
