I use Windows 7 Professional, so why is Flash player always obsolete?
I get regular messages from Adobe, saying a new version of Flash Player is available, and I download & install, apparently with success each time.
However, you are using Mozilla Firefox (also fully updated), Flash Player is always a failure, with a message saying that he (Flash) is obsolete and a black sceen (or part of) appears instead a display provided through Flash.
How to uninstall Flash completely and then re - start, because I suspect it is a problem of 32-bit/64-bit.
HI Maria,
Thank you... Yes, I use several browsers, with Firefox as first choice, but again I use Chrome and even Internet Explorer. The other possible confounding factor is that we have a network of two PC from Dell, the two 64-bit Windows 7 Professional, which are usually on, and in addition we sometimers also connect an iPad or a small Samsung netbook running Windows 7 family (32 bit), so up to 4 devices almost identical IPS ranging from simple broadband via landline. In special situations, the netbook is the only active PC.
I have located the two log files and am about to download. I also added a picture to my profile and a brief 'bio', as I used to work for CSC to British Aerospace, with CICS, COBOL, & DL/1 on mainframe computers.
I hope help log files.
Terry

I use a file to http://www.psms-cpa.com/exchange.html Exchange program
It should bring up a box of connection credentials, but I get HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized
I use windows 7 Professional, Firefox ver 40.0.2
It works fine on other computers using FIrefox ver 40.0.2 and it worked fine for the past 2 weeks ago. This page is actually a framework around another site (https://client.psms-cpa.com/). You can load pages framed in a new tab by right clicking on the error page, expanding the submenu 'this framework', then Open Frame in a new tab.
40 Firefox no longer displays the login prompt of authorization basis for a framed page that is hosted on a different server. This is to protect you from accidentally giving your credentials for the external page for an attacker.
One solution is to use the page framed directly, but if you prefer to disable this new protection, there is an option to do so. Of course, please be wary of this guest appearing on other sites.
(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.
(2) in the search above the list box, type or paste auth and make a pause so that the list is filtered
(3) double-click the preference of network.auth.allow - subresource-auth and edit the 1 to 2, and then click OK
- 1 shows the dialog box logon only for pages framed, images, etc., hosted on the same site
- 2 allows the connection to pages dialog box framed, images, etc., hosted on any site
This should take effect the next time you reload the external page (your home address).

I use windows xp professional and it creates a job by itself. If has installed a local printer (shared). What can I do to continue to get empty print jobs.
Hello
This looks more like a driver problem than anything with the settings of the printer.
You should try to uninstall the printer completely and reinstall using the drivers on the support site for your printer.

in Acrobat 8 Standard advanced editing tool is grayed out in Windows 7 and Windows 10 but works with the same pdf file in Windows XP Professional. Why?
Perhaps because Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 7 or 10.

I use Windows XP and care April 2014 if I always use the it, what will happen after that Microsoft no longer supports it? My computer will become unusable? It works great and I would keep it if I can. I use a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop. Some people have told me that "nothing will happen" and others tell me that my computer will be more vulnerable. I use ESET NOD 32 and Malwarebytes. They tell me that they should still continue to work. I am told that because my computer was purchased in September 2008, he cannot me upgraded to Windows 7. I'm not a geek and would need assistance "passage" my files from one computer to the other as well. And then what to do with my old top office. I'm very worried and I had to face the fact that Microsoft is not going to deliver any security updates patches after April of 2014.
I can't wait to hear from someone on this problem and more just to go out and invest in Windows 8! Thank you.
I can tell you one thing, all or almost of windows xp device drivers will disappear from the computer manufacturers support websites and will reappear on all these shady sites who claim to be download for free but comes with unwanted software. Download the latest device drivers and keep several copies of them and download them to your skydrive or dropbox account fo guard.
I doubt that will happen. I've seen Windows 2000 drivers still on websites mfg.

Does anyone know what framework is needed to access empowering tech uses windows 7 professional 64 b
I recently bought a aspire 7720 which has windows 7 Professional 64-bit installed. I am trying to understand what framework is compatible with this OS to run the enabling technology? In addition is empowering tech. Even worth trying to reinstall on my laptop?
Please consult this useful link: http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/42/
You may need a recovery media to reinstall the applications. While applications to make it easier to control the various parameters of your computer, are not necessary and the same functionality can be made via the operating system.

How to backup EVERYTHING on an external hard drive using Windows Xp professional.
Hello. I am currently a professional user of Windows Xp and I want to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. I will soon buy an external hard drive and I want to have a COMPLETE Windows XP upwards [save IT] in my external hard drive. Can someone help me please? As in the steps to do this?
There is a way to do really well. You can clone your XP disk as a file and then access it via Virtual PC. See http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/ee656415.aspx you can then use the XP Mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/features/windows-xp-mode.aspx) and load your old cloned drive (vhd file) as a secondary drive and then you can pull data off of it you want. There is more info here on its use: www.oehelp.com/OEnWin7.aspx since you get Win7 Pro, XP Mode will be free.
