I want an add-on which opens the images in whatever program I chose

You know how when you search for a folder in Windows Explorer, you right-click on a type of image file and there is an 'Open with' option where you can select what type of program with which to open/view/modify this image?

There is an add-on for FireFox that allows me to do the same thing?

For example, I go to http://icanhascheezburger.com I see an image I like and that you want to save, but I want to open in IrfanView to change before I save it. So in Firefox, I right click on the image and I get the "Open with" menu has if I click right ob the same file after saving it

An add-on that can do this is Launchy - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/launchy/

Although the description says it allows you to open links and mailto with external applications, you can also set it so that when you right-click on an image you can open the image in your chosen application. See http://gemal.dk/mozilla/launchy.html for more information about configuring Launchy

When I click on 'Open the Image' in Camera Raw, it tries to open it in PS CS6 but I want to open it in PS CC I have installed after PS CS6.

How can I set the default editor of Camera Raw?

This does not explain it. I thought you did, but then again the bridge comes not with Photoshop, it's understandable.

  • Windows Photo Gallery. How can I change the settings in the Windows Photo Gallery to automatically open the image without going to the index first?

Windows Photo Gallery.  How can I change the settings in the Windows Photo Gallery to automatically open the image without going to the index first?

Additional information: there are 2 computers that I use on the first Gallery Photo of Windows will open the image and allow me to use the left and right buttons to scroll through the rest of the photos in the folder, that's what I want.

On the 2nd computer when I open an image it will open the Windows Photo Gallery in an index with thumbnails of the displayed record.  How can I change so that it opens the same thing as the first computer?

I did the following on both computers; Right-click on the image and select open with...--> choose the default program--> go--> Program Files, Windows Photo Gallery, but it will be open always differently on computer 2.

Both computers use Windows Vista 32-bit.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Bridge CC tries to open the image in the older version of PS (uninstalled)

Hi I have PS CC 2015 installed on my PC Backup.  I opted to keep PS 2014 installed when I installed the latest version.  I uninstalled PS CS5 and CS6.  When I double click on a thumbnail in bridge CC 6.1.1.10 x 64, I get an error saying that Photoshop CS5 exe is not found.  How can I tell bridge to open the image in PS CC 2015?  I hope it is easier than the update of all file associations in the preferences!

When I click with the right button on the thumbnail of the image and choose open with..., I see "Photoshop (default)" in the list.  If I chose this article, I get the same error.  Hmm..., (by default).  How can I change the default?

    Thanks - Dave

    Hi DaveMcKeen,

Either you can reset the file association in the preferences or can reinstall Photoshop and new Bridge which will fix the file by itself association.

If this does not help, please see the following thread that might help:

  • Open the image with the bridge photohsop

I forgot to put in place.

Open the image of the thumbnail (bridge) with Photoshop.

I have set up at work and could not remember now.

    Thanks for reading

In Bridge, use Ctrl K to bring up the preferences.

If you want to change the raw files in PS, under "Général", uncheck "Double Click Modify Camera Raw Settings"

    For the other files:

"File Type associations," set a Photoshop CS4 for files to open in PS.

  • I can't open the images in Yahoo mail with 7 Firefox, but IE works.

After several years of success with Yahoo mail and Firefox, I can longer open mail of Yahoo (jpg, bmp) images. I can open them in gmail with Firefox or IE. I can open them in Yahoo mail using IE. I am running Firefox 7.0.1 and I think, but am not sure, all my trouble started after the update to this version of Firefox.

RESOLVED: Here is the solution to "I can't open the images in Yahoo mail with 7 Firefox, but IE works." Just before I log on my E-mail Yahoo site I turn on cookies, but I never enable third-party cookies. That has always worked very well until October 2011. Just after I installed the new Firefox 7 this problem started. Now I just found out that the problem is solved, if I enable cookies from third party. Users should not have to enable cookies from third party read the Yahoo mail via Firefox!

That is to say: down arrow recorded a watermark image in the gallery without you buy. You can download an overview lores on your desktop for motorhomes with this same arrow, but it is unfortunately a watermark (unlike the DPC). You can also copy and send a link to the Gallery clients to review before you buy.
