  You are running a 64-bit operating system?  Need you a so that your operating system to see and use more than 4 GB of memory.

  There should be nothing you have to do in the BIOS or made the necessary BIOS update. You may need to press the F1 key after installing the new memory to save the settings.

  Slots are color coded so you install memory pairs in the same colorful locations.

  So, let your current 1 GB chips in the black sites and install your 2 GB chips in the blue slots for optimal performance.

  If you invert the values, you will not work in DDR mode. You can even get an out of memory error when you start the PC.

  1x2x1x2 is what you want to have, or if you prefer, 2x1x2x1. I wouldn't waste my time of switching autour. Just get the other 2 2 GB chips and replace the 1 GB you have at some point in the future.

  Buy PC2-6400 for optimal performance.  And replace the 1 GB with the same. If you currently have fleas memory PC2-5300 installed, the memory will operate at the slowest speed.

  It depends on your chipset.
  If your chipset supports 1333 Mhz RAM then works with maximum performance, otherwise it would be clocked up to 1066 Mhz.

  The Satellite M70-131 can be upgraded to 2 GB of RAM and you have already said you need DDR2 RAM.
  Specification for RAM is DDR2 400/533 and you can add two modules with 1 GB of capacity of each module. The reference is PA3411U-1M1G.

  What do you mean with many BUS and BIOS? This has nothing to do with an upgrade of RAM.

  It will be fine as long as they are installed in pairs (and, as long as your model can handle 8 GB modules). Just install them in the empty slots. Working with word documents or online will be not much faster - you will notice the difference in speed apps to respond, with graphic design and video editing, etc or game play. The new OS versions like more RAM, so you can not go wrong there.

  FYI, you do not run iOS on an iMac - Please edit your profile to show what OS version you are using. It helps the helpers.

  If you use 32 bit os I works perfectly with 4 GB but system uses 3 GB. Add the next module that means you probably have 2 GB module inserted. You can simply put another beside it mounted origin. Check with everest, aida, cpu - z or any other things how many modules is placed on your motherboard and you have free banks.

  You have now two modules of 8 GB in the top two slots. Two slots are empty and you want to add two 4 GB modules. You can do it. The dealer won't. However, cost of the RAM is pretty cheap, and you're looking to add to 24 GB or 32 GB. How much more two modules of 8 GB will be plus two new modules to 4 GB? Just be sure to have the correct specifications:

  Maximum memory	32 GB
  Memory locations	4-204-pin PC3-12800 (1600 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM

  I recommend you to go through this guide, the computer is slow (10 of Windows). To check the amount of memory currently installed and determines the amount of memory can be added, while your computer is turned on, follow one of the sets of steps below:

  In Windows 10:

  1. In Windows, find and open HP Support Assistant.

  2. HP Support Assistant, under Learn click on product information.

  3. See the section of system memory specifications for details on memory that is currently installed.

  4. To find the total amount of memory that can be added, subtract the amount of memory currently in the computer of the maximum amount of memory that the computer can hold. To see the maximum memory the computer can take, see the finding information on memory for your computer model.

Usually, this is the maximum amount for each type of memory. For example, if the computer is able to contain a maximum of 4096 MB (4 GB) memory and the motherboard has four memory slots, install 1 GB (or less) per slot.

  You look at the manual of your system, see what kind of connection there / what lead types/sizes it can manage and buy appropriately.

  However - given the age of this system - I'm just down, buy an external USB drive and use it.  You will eventually be able to take to any machine use - including the one that replaces the one you have.
