  Colr default seems to be BLUE - most of the files anre this color - some files are in BLACK. RECORDS are black.

  In general, which seems to indicate that some files have been compressed to save space.

  Right-click on one of the names of files 'blue', click Properties, and then click Advanced (towards the bottom of the dialog box).

  You should see a box marked 'Compress' contents to save disk space, if it is checked, the file was compressed and the reason it appears in blue.

  You can disable it if you want, but it will increase the size of the file. You also could select several files, right click and change them all, but again everything done is take more room on your hard drive.

  You can also compress/decompress whole folders if you wish.

  You can also navigate to the folder where all the copies of read only PDFs are registered by going to the device file Explorer.

• DW CS6 test server shows only the login screen of my site. Can't do under the hood live wiew. The pages I want to change/modify is visible only when I connect but I do not know how to reolve that.

  A CMS site, the page is usually filled with data that is stored in a database using a scripting language on the server side. Unfortunately, the Design mode only supports a static language like HTML, there is therefore no recovery information from the database.

  The only way out of your situation is to temporarily remove the permission to the user to the page that you are editing so that you do not to log-in each time. The problem is that you may forget to reactivate the authorization.

  What I always do is to open the site in a browser and verify the change in DW refreshing the page in the browser. In this way, you need to log-in once.

  When I use dreamweaver MX and that you want to change a picture on a site and I double click on the image it opens, fireworks MX, I want to open Fireworks MX 2004 and now I can get to open in Fireworks MX2004 by right click on the image and select 'Open with' and then navigate to the folder to Fireworks MX2004 to open it which is a bit complicated,

  Is there a way so that it can open in Fireworks MX 2004 when you double click?

  Obviously I can't afford to upgrade to the latest versions of both programs, (Although I'll accept donations ), and I prefer to keep Fireworks MX on the machine as backup, just in case mx2004 goes pear-shaped.

  In Dreamweaver, go to Edition > Preferences > File Types / editors and change the types of files that you would like to be opened / edited with Fireworks MX 2004. There are many options available, and this should do the trick.

  There is even an option to specify the path to the Fireworks, as:

  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Fireworks CS4\Fireworks.exe

  -Just edit to match where is your copy of Fireworks MX 2004, and you're done - I guess that in your case, it should be here:

  C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Fireworks\

  .. .but I could be wrong - it's been long that I installed something older than Fireworks CS3...
