I want to merge several PDF files, but I want everyone to keep their themes. How this is done?

I create a report that is to me including PDFs of various products in the report and send it to 1 pdf.

Not sure what you mean by "themes", but you can merge PDFs in Acrobat via file - create - combine files into a single PDF...

  • Place several PDF files (or a folder of PDF files) into an InDesign document

    Hello

    I know there are several scripts to place multipage Pdf into InDesign.

    Based on these scripts I've done myself who place a PDF file with multiple pages in the form of a chart online where the name of the PDF file is inserted as a Cape.

    Works very well. But when I want to import files PDF 20 I have to run this script 20 times, which is not very practical.

    I'm looking for, so a way choose a folder in which are several PDF files that will be placed inside 1 ID doc.

    Any suggestions?

    . SelectDlg() of use:

    function getPDFs(){
        var f = someFolder.selectDlg ('Select a folder')
        if (f != null){
            return f.getFiles('*.pdf');
        }
        return [];
    }

  • Convert several Word Documents into several PDF files

    Hi, I'm looking for a way to convert several PDF files in word documents. I am running Adobe Acrobat 3D Version 8.1.2. It seems as if will Advanced > Document processing > batch processing and then using the Print sequence All will do, but when I selected word documents I want to turn into PDF files, after I click on "Execute sequence" I get a message in the progress window saying «Start the application in which the file was created...» "then Acrobat stops and nothing happens. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

    Thank you!

    Hi "jhaystead"

    Apologies to make an erroneous suggestion. "Batch conversion" is a feature of Acrobat 9 or higher.

    I would suggest that you use the "Open All" sequence > double-click the Edit > "2. ' Run the command: "choose"Selected folder"and BROWSE to your folder of entry. The same for the '3. Select output location", you can choose"Same folder as Original (s)", click OK, and then click 'run the sequence '.

    That invoke the PDFMaker to convert Word to PDF documents and save the PDF (s) in the documents mentioned, instead of printing output and inviting them to record the result every time as Adobe PDF Printer.

    Plus, could you please check if menu/toolbar Adobe PDF options are there in Word and works well?

    When you said,

    ' Is the only way I can get a PDF file produced to manually open each word document, and then save it in the format PDF.» I did have luck with the multiple PDF creation. " Print you documents Word, Adobe PDF or printer using the PDFMaker options?

    Thank you!

  • OCR @ background for several PDF files

    Dear friends,

    I have several PDF files image / tiff files. a PDF file can have multiple pages. I wanted to do OCR of each PDF file. Manually, I need to do it one by one.

    I wanted to perform this task in the background might be a tool that can be run to do OCR for all files and save result files in the specific folder. This groundwork will be executed on a daily basis.

    Can this be possible with Adobe OCR tool? OR offer another solution using Adobe OCR.

    Have we not all libraries that can be integrated with .net application? so that we can build the tool that can be run in the background.

    Thank you

    Louis

    Yes, you can run OCR on a set of files and save them in the folder with the specified names. To do this, follow these steps:

    If no file is opened in Acrobat:

    1. start Acrobat and go to tools > improve the Scans

    2. There is a link «or recognize text in multiple files»

    3. on the "recognize text" dialog box, click Add files option and select all the files, you want to perform OCR.

    4. click on Ok. Now a dialog box will come where you can specify the output settings (folder path and file name prefix/suffix)

    5. the "Recognize text - settings' window specify the language and style of OCR output. (Default value is searchable exact Image).

    If a file is opened in Acrobat, step 2 will change: toolbar in Acrobat select text recognition > in multiple files

    Hope it will solve your problem. Please let us know if something else is needed.

    Thank you.

  • Code to merge two PDF files of the scanned book: one of the odd pages and the other pages even.

    I'm looking for an effective way merge two PDF files: one with all the odd pages scanned a book, one with all even-numbered pages. This question has been posted several times in many different forums.  I am unable to get the Javascript code that is given in the following forum to work.  https://forums.adobe.com/thread/286654.  Generally, the responses to this question are not useful for me because 1) they provide instructions that apply to an older version of Adobe (I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC), or 2) they involve software purchase that I found to be ineffective. One post step by step to complete code that can do bonded labor and be registered as a custom through the command Wizard command (see the post from 11:27 January 13, 2016 to https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2063936, for an example of a good response to a different question) would be much appreciated.  Thank you, Carl

    You can use a large part of the script that was posted in the other thread and create a personalized out of it. In fact, it makes the script easier to understand, because all the "stuff" that is about adding menus and elevate the rights of scripts is no longer necessary.

    See here for instructions on how to create a custom in Acrobat DC command:

    Create orders customized in Adobe Acrobat DC Pro - KHKonsulting LLC

    Instead of the sample code of the blog post, you would use this (which is really just a copy & paste of the original script):

        // create an array to use as the rect parameter in the browse for field

        var arRect = new Array();
        arRect[0] = 0;
        arRect[1] = 0;
        arRect[2] = 0;
        arRect[3] = 0;

        // create a non-visible form field to use as a browse for field
        var f = this.addField("txtFilename", "text", this.numPages - 1, arRect);

        f.delay = true;
        f.fileSelect = true;
        f.delay = false;

        // user prompted to select file to collate the open document with
        app.alert("Select the PDF file to merge with")

        // open the browse for dialog
        f.browseForFileToSubmit();
        var evenDocPath = f.value;

        var q = this.numPages;

        var t = app.thermometer;
        t.duration = q;
        t.begin();

        // insert pages from selected document into open document
        for (var i = 0; i < q; i++) {
            var j = i * 2;
            this.insertPages(j, evenDocPath, i);
            t.value = i;
            t.text = 'Inserting page ' + (i + 1);
        }
        t.end();

        // remove unused field
        this.removeField("txtFilename");

    Given the instructions in my blog, you should be able to create this custom command and run it. To run it, the important part is that you load the 'weird' part of the document first, then launch the custom command and then select the item "same" document.

    It does not allow me to print several pdf files no matter where the files are stored (office etc., network). I'm prompted with the message "choose program...". "every time.

    I checked my preferences, and "Enable protected mode" is not selected

    ProtectedMode.jpg

    I already tried the following:

    Adobe Reader DC relocation

    Running updates

    Change the value in the registry to point to "AcroRdr32.exe".

    Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Eric

    Thank you all.
    I was able to solve it.

    In the registry, the .pdf is looking at Acrobat.Document.15

    Looked at the reg path and saw that the "Print" was pointing to Acrobat acrord32.exe rather

    Changed to point to the drive path.

    This fixed the problem.
