It is very good. Don't touch, unless your computer is slow, in which case uninstalling unnecessary programs will remove most unnecessary processes.

need to remove the old updates, how can I know which ones who?
I have so many updates in my computer, I think they use a lot of space - I don't have "have a lot of memory left. I have updates dating back to 2002. If I can delete some, can you tell me where?
Thank you very much!
E-mail address is removed from the privacy *.
You should not remove the update but you can delete the uninstall information.
I'll assume you mean the hard drive space. You can also use Disk Cleanup to help the removal of junk. You can uninstall old programs is no longer, you use or alternatively, get a bigger hard drive.
As to your question about updates - see: http://taurarian.mvps.org/WU_XP/removing_old_windows_updates.htm
Folders that have uninstall as part of the name (for example $NtUninstallKB282010$ who reside in C:\windows (hidden files) are window Hot difficulty updating folders/files) can be removed safely (providing ever, you wish to uninstall the updates). I recommend you leave these records for a period of at least one month to make sure that the update works correctly.
These updates can be removed individually or together. To learn more about the update/s go on:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/xxxxxx
NB: XXXXXX = the actual number, not to mention the "Q" or "Ko."Once you have removed the uninstall folders/files, then go to control panel, add/remove programs. Select the title of the corresponding Windows fix on the folder/file of the patch you just deleted, and select Delete. You will get a Windows error. This is because you deleted the uninstall folder/files. Simply choose OK and the entry will be removed from the Add/Remove Programs list.

Work request #2 is built with common worm world worm 8.9.35.108 and 8.7.35.131
When they are merged into a new #3 application, apparently only one Common.dll files can be used...
If the older Common.dll is used, world routines fail because they require worm 8.7.35.131
If the new Common.dll is used, NI4882 routines fail because they require worm 8.1.20.168
What the best way to get the merged application would work?
Hi Gary,.
Thanks for the information! It seems that the problem here is that 4882 version that you reference depends on version 2.0 of the common Assembly .NET, while the version done VISA refers to version 3.5. TOFIX this, you need is will reference a more recent version of the Assembly 488.2 (recommended) or an earlier version of the assembly VISA. If you install the latest version of NOR-488. 2, you will be able to reference the most recent assembly, allowing you to successfully run your application with the most recent common Assembly.

and why older games cannot run on dx11?
Still, this depends on the game. There are games available on the market supporting the two DX9 or higher. If your card does not support DX11, then the game will run in DX9 mode. The game will run in mode if DX11 video card (which is obvious), and if the game supports.
Most games newly released these days have graphics options that can be modified to execute to the highest possible setting and at this point in time if the game is DX11 compatible, it would be in the same mode.
I guess that should completely answering your query?

I was told to delete some files as they took too much space, they told me to go to my computer, then click on my C drive... 1 million files showed up... how can I know which ones to remove?
See other responses, you got and let me add the following. If you are short on disk space, it is likely that there are some files that you don't need and you can delete them. But this generally record only a small amount of disk space and doesn't really help the problem. The only real solution to buy a bigger hard drive. Fortunately, they are very cheap these days.

I do understand the benefit of "Options" tab utilities and want to remove it. How, please? I tried this feature because the tab 'Fox' was no longer available with the 5.0 update.
I loved tab 'Fox '. A click and go on a site added you to 'top sites' before. The update 5.0, this feature is no longer available. It was a disappointment. There is a similar feature "add on" that is, as tab 'Fox' compatible with 5.0. If yes I would like to know about it. Or better yet... make it usable with Firefox 5.0 ' Fox' tab if upgrades cancel features previously downloaded that work really... What's the point?
Please click the button solved it next to the answer that solved your problem of Firefox support, it appears when you are connected, so this thread is marked as resolved to help other users who may have this same problem.

want to remove some programs from my "adding and deleting' on the control panel
I am wanting to remove some programs from my "adding and deleting' on the control panel. I have several that I don't know if they are necessary in order to do not want to delete them until I have found. Example: Microsoft.NET framework 2.0 service pack 2, if I said the same thing with the exception of program 3.0 can remove either one or both or what? Redistributible MS Visual C ++ 2005 and also have 2008 and 2110. Platform Installer 3.0, WCF RIA Services V1.0 for visual studio 2010. I don't even remember downloading all of this stuff, but don't know if it has a meaning to my computer or not. Y at - it somewhere I can look to find such information? Don't like silly things like this, but would rather ask that screw up something. Thank you

How do I know which programs to take off the windows Installer CleanUp list?
Windows Installer Cleanup of
* original title - how do I know which programs to take off the windows Installer CleanUp list? I don't want to uninstall or remove a program that I always use currently__ *.
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/290301 (MS Office only - replaced by the 'Fix It' utility)
(Note: the Windows CleanUp utility has been replaced by the "Fit It":http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/ )The Windows Installer Cleanup utility:
It was created to correct software installations that failed during the installation process and leaving a bunch of files (including a file name that ends with an extension .msi (= MicroSoft Installer .msi). For example an installation failed MS Office (note I said "failed").
See: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA011185721033.aspxAlso if when you installed MS Office you decided at the time you had no need of Power Point and chose not to install it. You find out later you need to make a Power Point presentation, insert the Office CD and try installing PowerPoint and it causes an error.
The tool using Windows Installer Cleanup will remove damaged installation files (located in C:\Windows\Installer). You then install Office and Power Point, once more, as they are not more present in the list of programs in the Add/Remove Control Panel. But at least this time Office and Power Point will install without errors as the Windows Installer Cleanup utility did what it was designed to do.
The unfortunate side effect of the cleanup tool is when you select and delete software that works correctly you then will no longer be able to install this software because it is no longer in the Add/Remove Programs list.
Now as to why there is so many files in the C:\Windows\Installer:
You will find lots of them. MSI files belong to software such as Java, Microsoft .NET Framework software AV, Norton Ghost, file downloaded during a Windows Update session and so on. It would seem that some software will clean up after itself and deletions, this is the file that were in the folder C:\Windows\Installer. Windows Update failure will create and leave the folders and files behind every time that you try to install the update and so you could end up with a large number of files taking up disk space. It could also be a lot of files (is most needed) orphans.
If you still have the original Windows Installer Cleanup utility, and then by using the msizap (msizap g!) command removes all cached Windows Installer data files that have been orphaned.Never be afraid to ask. This forum has some of the best people in the world to help.

How can I know which files fragmented, I can safely remove?
original title: fragmentation of filesHow can I know which files fragmented, I can safely remove? Some of my fragmented files are system files.
Fragmented files are not bad! At worst, need another millisecond or two for the system read this file. If the file is rarely or never accessed, so there no performance impact at all. When you delete files from your machine, fragmentation does not fall within the decision-making process. If you don't remove them if they are not fragmented, then you should not remove them, period. If you mind really that a file is fragmented after you run a standard defragmentation, there are programs out there as freeware "Contig" that defragment almost anything.
