I want to replace a HD from 40 GB to 80 GB, both are Windows XP, what is the best way?

I tried to pass the 40 GB, 80 GB HD, but I'm doing something wrong or not at all.

I think I do something wrong about the pilots.

Advice would be appreciated.

SID Spence'

What happens when you try to start the computer with the 80 GB replacement drive?  What kind of error message you get, if any?  First of all, you must make sure that the 80 GB drive is connected to the same connection that was the 40 GB drive and you must make sure that the jumper on the hard drive is located at the same position on the 40 GB, I'm making assumptions here, but I think that the 40 GB drive was the only drive in the PC and that it was connected to the primary IDE controller, and that the rider has been on the master or cable select Position and that it was the same for the 80 GB drive in HP computer.

You have a few options here.  If the 40 GB drive contains a working installation that you want to keep, you can try to clone the 80 GB drive, if the clone operation is successful you will be able to start the computer with the new drive as if nothing had changed, Windows will be really not the wiser on the other disk.  General fault of disks can often be cloned because the discs usually be rejected for lack of writing rather than reading and they usually show signs of defect when the "spare sector pool" runs out, not because they cannot be read.  This inherently fault of disks can often be read and, providing that critical areas are not damaged, cloning is often successful.

If you do not want to keep installing the 40 GB drive then just remove the drive and put the 80 GB drive in the computer and try to start it and see what happens, if the system starts successfully then you just need to update some drivers, Windows XP can be quite surprising at times, he has an uncanny ability to sometimes be able to start fine in another computer.  However and in all likelihood, you will probably do a 'upgrade on the spot"(aka a repair install) of installation and you need to reinstall the drivers.  You will need to get the drivers for Packard Bell (are they again?) or find the driver CD that originally supplied with the machine.  If installation on the 80 GB drive is not important for you, then you are probably best to put the disc in the Packard Bell and then do a fresh install using your Windows XP retail CD, your retail CD can be used to install XP on ANY computer (unlike the OEM CD that are usually BIOS locked and bound to the computer on which they were initially installed).

VERY IMPORTANT!  Make sure that you have the product key for your copy retail, without it, you will not be able to install Windows.  If you lost the key it can be recovered from the installation disk.

    HI -.

As a prelude to 2014.0, we have added a feature allowing you to choose what number to start the increment of.  Look in the section ingest Rename dialog and change your preset. When you click the button, you should see the option "Custom Auto Increment". This will allow you to choose what number to start on.  We've also added a few newspapers to try to remember where let prelude last successfully interfere the operation by using this option. So, in theory, to remember the number for you. But if it isn't (maybe you want multiple kickoff ingested at the same time) you can always manually set the number to start with.

Check that out and let me know how it works for you.

  • I'll do a clean install on a blank hard drive upgrade but want to keep my Firefox settings - what is the best way to do this?

I'll do an upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7. I will be installing Windows 7 on a new empty hard drive. I want to keep my bookmarks Firefox and Ad Ons. What is the best way to do it. Thank you for your help.

    Hello

The best thing for you to do is to make a backup of your Firefox profile. It is a folder that stores bookmarks and Add-ons that you can then add to the reinstalled Firefox on your new operating system.

Learn you more about the Firefox profile folder, how to backup and restore, here.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look at in another option for you.

  • Apple Extreme, Time Capsule and Express on the same system, what is the best way to set it up so that all devices smoothly from one end of the House to another?

Apple Extreme, Time Capsule and Express on the same system, what is the best way to set it up so that all devices smoothly from one end of the House to another?

I'm going to assume that you plan to have wireless devices.

Let's say that the Capsule is your "main" router  If this is the case, then it must be located in the House, so that the distance between the time Capsule is the same for the outside walls of the House.

Then, on the 'left' side of the House, looking for an airport to midway between the Capsule and time of the outer wall of the House. Do the same thing the 'right' side of the House.

In other words, each of the two airports that "extend" the wireless signal are located at equal distance from the Capsule of time... but they are in opposite ends of the House.

If you intend to interconnect all the airports and Time Capsule using a permanent, Ethernet wired... which by far is the 'best' way to put in place a network in terms of performance and reliability... then you can locate one of the devices anywhere you want.

Should I delete the page and then add URL redirect via the module to redirect BC a relevant page.

One is better than the other?

Redirect via the page is there if you want to keep the page for any reason content wise, etc. in the admin. Web site wise is no different. A 301 redirect is a redirect 301 Grant, there is no difference.

Using CS3, I want to insert a picture on the active page of my site folder. What is the best way to do it?

The current folder simply reflects what you have already inserted in your site.

Save images to your Site Local DW folder from your graphical application or move/copy using the file manager of your operating system (Mac Finder or Win Explorer).

In DW, use the Insert menu to insert images directly into your web page.

I have Acrobat 9 on a PC, I no longer use. I want to download and reinstall on another PC. What is the best way to do it?

    Hi Chaos2015,

Could you specify if you have Acrobat 9 Pro or Standard version.

You must turn off Acrobat from the old machine and then install on the new of a CD/DVD and then activate with the same serial key.

If you don't have installation media, you can download the Pro version of the below mentioned link:

    Download Acrobat products | 9, 8

Please note that you can activate the software on the computers of two maximum. For example: your office at work and laptop at home

  • What is the best way to move the data from the app and Server data structures?

    Hi guys,.

I developed my application locally with Apex 4.2 and Oracle 11 g XE on Windows 7. Not far away, it is time to move the application to a server Oracle Apex. I guess that Exim is the way to go app. But what about the APA tables and data (tables/as 'customer' and 'account' created specially for the application)? I've been using a modeling tool, so I can run a DDL script to create the database server data structures. What is the best way to move the application data on the server? Is it possible to move the structures and data in a single process?

    Thank you
    Kim

There is probably another way to get here, but in Developer SQL, on the navigation tree, expand objects until your table, right-click, and then click EXPORT... you will see all the options. It is a tedious process and it sucks IMO, but yes, it works. This is zero especially because 1) it's a table at a time, 2) If your data model is robust and has constraints and sequences and triggers, then you will need to disable all for the insert and we hope you can re-enable constraints, etc. without hitch (good luck, unless you have only a handful of tables)

I prefer to use the oracle EXP command-line to export an entire schema, then the server target, I use IMP to import the schema. In this way, it is almost true. This makes the dirty life if you develop multiple applications in a single schema, and I felt pain - however - it is much easier to drop the tables and other objects is to create them! (thus, even if the process of EXP/IMP moved more than you wanted to "move".. blow everything you don't want on the target after the fact...)

You can use method datapump oracle too.

If not, what can be done, IF you have access to both servers of your instance of SQL developer (or if you can tnsping both already from the command line, you can use SQL * MORE), is to run a script that will identify the objects of your applications apex (usually by the prefix for the names of objects, such as % EBA_PROJ_ etc.) and do all the manual work for you. I've created a script that does just that so that I can pass data from dev to prod servers on a dblink. It is difficult because of the order that must be executed to disable constraints and then turn it back on and of course, more complicated if don't always precede you ALL your "objects demand '... (tables, views, triggers, sequences, functions, procs, indexes, etc.)

  • What is the best way to migrate from forms to ADF?

We are in a big mess. Our company has been developing Oracle Forms for more than 15 years. We have applications developed in Forms 6i and 10 g. We have about 5 products and these 5 products have different versions of 25 to 30. that is, we maintain about 30 different versions of our applications. Each version of the application has about 100 forms and 100 States.

Now, given that the forms came at the end of life of 11 g we want to pass to the ADF. We tried forms of ADF migration tools but failed. So now, we decided to manually to rewrite applications in the ADF.

Our forms / PL/SQL developers, designers and analysts (about 40 in total) are all people of Oracle Forms. They have no experience in Java.

What I want to know is:
    (1) what is the BEST way to do this?
    (2) need to learn Java, JSF, and ADF? (i.e. every 3)?
    (3) it is mandatory to learn JSF?
    (4) assuming that may benefit from a full training, how much time will it take for people of forms learn the ADF?
    (5) what kind of training will be necessary? (Java, JSF, ADF and JDeveloper etc..)
    (6) how LONG will take? that is to train all 40, then to rewrite an application forms 100 + 100 + reports? (Ballpark is OK).
    (7) any other technology we should learn?

    Published by: user12240205 on July 18, 2012 05:48

Obvoiusly liked you training the better, but I think the minimum would

    (1) Java skills - I think to start, 1 or two days read some thing like head first Java http://www.amazon.com/Head-First-Java-Kathy-Sierra/dp/0596009208
    (2) I would then get the http://www.amazon.com/Quick-Start-Oracle-Fusion-Development/dp/0071744282/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1343201618&sr=1-1&keywords=jdeveloper+quick of "The Quick Start Guide to Fusion Development" (declaration: I am the author so have an interest, but I still think it's a good point of departure - this should be about 2-3 days to read and also to try things.)
    (3) in parallel I would observe these http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/adfinsider-093342.html#a1 ADF Insider Basics - a few hours
    (4) I'd so try this tutorial http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/jdev/obe11jdev/ps1/ria_application/developriaapplication_long.htm - 3 hours.
    (5) if necessary, if you come from a background of forms I would also read http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/jdeveloper/11gdemos/SummitADF/SummitADF_Redevelopment.pdf and watch http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/jdeveloper/11gdemos/Forms_Redevelopment_ADF/Forms_Redevelopment_ADF.html - which is about 2 hours of work.

I think it would be the absolute MINIMUM at least be able to build basic applications and begin to feel your way all also described in the http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/jdeveloper/11gdemos/ADFTour/ADFTour.html 'ADF COLLATERAL TOUR' could be shot as you start to build a proof of concept. However, I would say don't you try to build a real application with a single exposure of weeks (in the same way, I don't expect you to design a database of product with the formation of a week only). I would probably expect your developers to have at least the above training, then spend a month or so evidence of (minimum) building of the concepts (or test themselves with the ADF Insider Essentials tasks). In addition, I would probably expect to have at least a senior developer/architect, with much more experience that may be decisions on things like reuse, partitioning, architecture, etc..

Of course, it's all subjective, but I hope it helps.
    concerning

    PS
Of course, we also have lectures for university training Oracle which you could attend (or they can be bought to watch online).

  • What is the best way to import and export images from the 5 d Mark II?

    Hello

I have just finished what I plan my first masterpiece of shooting film.  Shot on the Canon 5 d (1080 p, 24 fps), and the film looks amazing.  Now, I'm ready to start editing and now use creating lately, but I still have to figure out the proper conduct.  I want to know the best way to keep the resolution before I dive into this project.

    My questions:

    (1) what is the best way to start a new project and import the images without having to make while editing, in order to keep all the resolution and the originality of the source footage?

    (2) what is the best way / codec / format to export these images even once done editing to maintain than crisp 1080 p for which the 5 d is therefore counted?

    (3) what is the best way / codec / format for import and export / rendering between the first and after effects?  I speak especially of Visual effects and color correction.  I also a few sequences of 30 images per second that I intend to slow down in AE and then import into first.

I know that it's wide enough, but as a solo Director I really need advice from someone.  Rarely, I finished my films with the same look crispy as images.  I need help of pipeline and really appreciate it!

To send your messages with attachments to your friend.  He can then save attachments on his PC.  He will need an application that can handle files of ".wps", although, like the work of processing or Office Word (or WordPerfect, if that's what you used to create them).

What is the best way to transfer pictures from an old computer to a flash drive or a drive back then to a new computer?

The easiest and most reliable I've found is to make the direct drag-and-drop method.

    (1) on the old computer, open your Windows Explorer and go to your photos.

    (2) open another Windows Explorer window and access your 'Computer' folder and in your flash drive

    (3) drag the photos to the flash drive.

    (4) take the flash drive on the new computer and drag them into your images folder

I want to show a hand wiping snow off the screen. What is the best way to do it?

You might try shooting through the snow on a green plastic non-brillant/Matt surface, have a camera on a tripod to research on snow and wipe the snow with your hand, pushing as well, otherwise all of the snow, so you find yourself alone with the Green surface. Then, go through the many Keylight tutorials out there to key on the Green and just the snow and the hand.
