I WANT TO UPGRADE MY PROCESSOR

Hello, pls I request to know the opportunity to upgrade my processor from APU AMD A6-3430MX with the graphics card HD Radeon (TM) for a processor A10, which will boost the strength of my games... is possible to buy only the processor of the A10 and replace on my A6 because the current processor supports not most of my gaming needs so that I have enough memory graphic video (1.5 GB Radeon). However, I want to also know the maximum amount of RAM, the computer can accommodate because currently I have 6 GB of RAM and I think to be upgraded to 8 GB. These changes will affect the computer negatively? or what? I think it is the best economic option for me rather than waiting to buy a bigger laptop with a superior processor... Games that require such high features include coming need to guard dogs, for speed rivals, Call of Duty ghost, next Hitman 6 and many others...

    Hello DavidShortt

As a general rule, you can upgrade or replace all the hardware components on your computer and maintain the license for the operating system Microsoft OEM original software, with the exception of an upgrade or replacement of the motherboard. An upgrade of the motherboard is supposed to lead to a "new personal computer. Software operating system Microsoft OEM cannot be transferred from one computer to the other. Therefore, if the motherboard is updated or replaced for other reasons that a defect was created to a new computer, the original license expires, and we need a new full operating system license (and not an upgrade). This is true even if the computer is covered by Software Assurance or other Volume Licensing programs.

  • Satellite M40X-189: I want to upgrade the processor?

    Hello

I have the satellite m40x-189 notebook with Intel Pentium M 730 processor(1.6/2M/533). "I want to improve my CPU with Intel Pentium M780 processor(2.26/2M/533). Is this possible?

Generally speaking, the situation of CPU upgrade is a little different on laptops. It's not as easy as on the desktop PC.
The production of temperature and overheating are serious problems.

But the series of different laptops is shipped with different processors. AFAIK the M40X supports processors:
    Intel Pentium-M Dothan, 1.6GMHz, 1.73GMHz, 1.86 MHz, 2.0GMHz, 2.13GMHz
    and 2.26 MHz.
    Intel Celeron-M Dothan, 1.3GMHz, 1.4GMHz, 1.5 MHz, 1.6GMHz

The device also supports processors Intel 915 PM/915GM/910GML chipset for system memory controller.

But you know, nobody's going to give you the guarantee that the laptop will run stable and without any strange behavior.

  • HP laptop - 15-r150sa (ENERG: I want to upgrade the processor and the RAM of my laptop HP)

I have a requirement for a high quality laptop computer.  I want to at least 16 GB of RAM and Intel i7 processor. Can I improve/replace the newly purchased on my laptop i5 to i7 processor and 6 GB to 16 GB RAM?

    Emergency response please.

The processor is part of the motherboard. To get a faster processor, it requires the replacement of the whole motherboard.

Processor Intel Core i7-5500U and 2 GB cards separate graphics 795814-501

Above is the part number. This part is new and rare and can only be in HP. At this moment, they are not available. I did a complete search on the internet and it does not appear in one of the parts houses so likely you will have to wait a few months for the part joining the supply chain. When it doesn't the price will shock you. As at least $300US, maybe more.

The RAM is available anywhere. Like this:

    http://www.eBay.co.UK/ITM/2x-8gb-16GB-DDR3L-1600-MHz-RAM-memory-HP-mobile-Workstat-Zbook-17-PC3L-12800S-/191493216820?PT=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c95e29a34

Upgrade memory requires the removal of the motherboard so it would be foolish to do until you are ready to do all the work.

May I ask why if you need a super-powerful laptop just purchased a kind of average lower of the spectrum? It's always much more expensive try to upgrade a cheap laptop computer than to just buy a high-end establishment at first. It would probably be you will have to return or to sell your laptop and buy a new one with the features you need.

Well I am trying to run Autodesk Revit and requires 10 GB ram and 6 minimum hearts to work. I can't find the motherboard P/N, unless I take it all goes, I am a little hesitant to do that I don't know my way around a laptop that well and I don't really have the time to fix it if something is not bad. I've seen other laptops come with i6 and i7 processors so I was just wondering if it was possible to be upgraded before going to my local electronic store and jostling in the purchase of a new laptop.

Number of room in new laptops are in the battery compartment. If you need you'll have number of cores to come by the office. Laptop does not come with 6 hearts currently because of the restriction of heat / thermal and more likely price would be high. There is no i7 or i5 i6 and not unless your outlet and the advice is for the new processors iNtel you cannot simply move to those. Your needs require a computer desktop respond to your deduction limit to the core no laptop currently cannot do.

  • The UPGRADE of processor in NB520: of N550 at N2800

Hello everyone. This is my first post. My question is this:

I've a Toshiba NB520 netbook with an Intel Atom N550 processor. I would like to know if I can upgrade the processor * welding * a N2800. This is the same socket: BGA559.
I don't know if the BIOS or chipset would recognize the processor.

Can you help me? Thank you!

    Hello
To my knowledge the processors are not welded but "nested" which means that the processor is removable from the system board.
But this does not mean that the party must be exchanged/updated or changed.

In most cases, the BIOS does not work with the replaced CPU which causes a malfunction of the machine. The other reason that could make this not recommended is the chipsets support.
However, support for chipsets can be checked on the Intel ARK Web site.

But I m wondering why you want to upgrade the processor? The performance difference isn't important.
Of course, you'd get a faster processor, but the performance gain will be not noticeable.

My advice: replace the HARD drive with a new SSD. It's much better choice to increase the performance of s for laptop.

  • Equium P300-190 - Question about upgrading the processor

    Hello

I just have a question for my CPU PC Toshiba laptop, I have a can of Equium P300-190 full to give model number if necessary the cpu is one supplied with the laptop.

My question is I want to upgrade the processor but do not know which would be the best option and there are limits with the BIOS, etc. on board.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably it is not known to you that upgrading the CPU is not officially supported by the manufacturers of portable.

The CPU upgrade is a tricky thing... the fact is that the CPU must be supported by chipset and BIOS.
Where a party would not support the new processor, the unit will not light.

So even if you use a CPU that is supported by the chipset (Intel GM965) there is a risk that the BIOS could not support the new processor...

The laptop was equipped with processor Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor T2390 (Merom code name) probably the other CPU Intel Pentium Dual-Core family-owned would be compatible, but to be honest, you won't see a performance improvement...

So in my opinion it is not worth trying to upgrade the processor...

In my opinion, you need to replace the HARD drive with an SSD... in that case you will get the performance improvement...

    Hello

Upgrading the CPU is a bit tricky on laptops and more often than not desirable and is not possible.
After the CPU overheating upgrade, it would be possible that don t cooling modules are working properly and the laptop.
Why? Well well, the CPU new and stronger products, more heat and the temperature would be Monte. The fan table that is stored in the BIOS will not correspond with the new CPU and the cooling fans would not correctly work.
In addition, upgrading CPU will void your warranty! It's very risky!

Anyway, looks like you certainly want to upgrade the processor?
So I would check the chipset installed on your laptop.
Try to know the details of the chipset and Intel page for compatible processors research!

    Hello @Biomac,

I understand that you are looking to upgrade your destkop computer processor, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

According to the Product Specifications for your system, available CPU upgradable components are:

  • HP pavilion 1303au g4: upgrade of processor in hp pavilion 1303au g4

    Processor :-amd a4 3330mx

    socket type:-fs1

I want to upgrade my processor, so what are my options .i think to upgrade to 3530MX-A8 OR A8-3550MX, but these processors have 45W tdp and my current processor TDP is 35W will this affect my laptop or not too, I want to know more choices for me. CPU upgradation will affect my hardware to portable computers in a negative way. ?

for this I change my motherboard too?

also I want to increase the ram of 6 GB. will it affect my computers cell phones overall performance?

    Link to g4-1303au of repair:

    Manual

A8 - 3520M works and is the best that you can install.

The new processor would go a little wamer you need to install carefully with a good thermal paste but other than that it is all upside. The system is designed to support this processor well. You can install up to 8 GB of RAM. DDR3-1333. I would setup a dual 4 GB module for optimal performance.
