I want to watch my bluray on my computer screen player

I don't have room for a tv so I have a large lg monitor with a TV tuner card.  I want to use a regular Blu - Ray player and watch it on my computer without using the tuner card that it distorts the image a lot.  The monitor has an hdmi connection and the video card is only analog (the computer is 7 years old).  Is it possible to connect on one of them and watch it as you would if the monitor has a tv?  Do I need a program to reward the player?

You should be able to directly connect the HDMI port on the back of the Blu - ray player to the HDMI port on the monitor. In most cases, connect your Blu - ray player to your computer will not work, because the old video cards do not include HDCP support on the VGA connection. HDCP is a feature of content protection that works when all the components, including the player and the monitor are able to decode the signal connected.

A warning to connect your Blu - ray player to your monitor, but you also need some sort of connection to the external speaker. If your monitor does not have a headset or a speaker jack, you will need to connect the audio on the back of the Blu - ray player to some external stakeholders in order to hear the sound of the Blu - ray player.
