  • Premiere Pro cs6 - video pane of the workspace remains empty when you try to view the imported files

    Hello

I am currently working in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. When I import my media into my workspace and drag it into the timeline, the preview area where you can review your cup video remains black. Double-click the imported file gives the same result. I was initially import files .jpg (about 300 KB of size for each) so I tried to import various other image formats - .png, .tiff, etc... I even imported a my scene movie file to determine if the problem was with my format of content. With video, the audio plays fine, but the video remains empty in the preview area. I tried rendering my workspace and change my initial parameters of the project, but to no avail. I went to my preferences for first and far as I know, everything seems fine.

I use the software on a HP Pavilion, Windows 7 intel core i7, 8 GB of ram with a 2 GB of 650 M from nvidia card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Hello

Have you tried to change your Video Renderer? It would be under the project > project settings > general. Switch option only the Mercury playback engine software and see if it helps.

  • Solution for the Premiere Pro CS6 video playback Bug yet? Help, please!

I just downloaded the demo version of PPCS6 and everything was much until I tried to edit a video that rained 3 minutes. The video may play for the first 30ish seconds before the picture freezes and I can play is nothing else. I currently own CS5.5 and it worked perfectly for two years with mounting in real time at full resolution with eight AVCHD videos installed above the other. I've never had a problem with CS5.5. I did some research and saw that this problem lasts since at least February 2013, but not one has found a solution in forums. I tried all the suggestions to reinstall things, updating drivers, decommissioning of the pilots, toggle playback of mercury with my video card, reboots, the new projects, restart the computer and only opening first pro, as well as a bunch of other things without success.

After a year full, because people have been struggling with this problem I guess that Adobe has finally released a patch or some kind of workaround to be able to use Premiere Pro to edit more than 3 minutes of video. Fortunately I can simply return to CS5.5, but all the work on CS6 will be lost. If anyone can shed some light on this at all it would be greatly appreciated. I just spent the last 5 hours trying Premiere Pro to work and I am at my wits end.

    Here are my system specs:

    Windows 7 Enterprise (64-bit)

    Intel i7 - 3930 k OC'd to 4.5 GHz (water cooled)

    16GB 1600 MHz RAM

128 GB sata II SSD for the OS and programs (only the adobe programs are installed).

250 GB sata III SSD for scratch and video files.

500 GB HARD drive for other media (not used in this project) files.

NVIDIA GTX 460 SE video card.

I also tried to put my video files on the HARD drive, but has not made a difference.

This could also be useful. If I open the problematic video files in CS5.5, I don't have any problems and that she plays and gum butter smooth along the.

Thanks in advance for any help any!

Okay, so it seems that updating more recent correction of the problem. I'm surprised that no one mentioned this in the 5 other posts/forums where people looked at this question. They are all just stopped posting in mid 2013 without selected correct answers, or the mention of the update. I'll have to go post there too I guess that to troubleshoot the guy next door may not get the evaluation or initial installation version to work. However, I now have my solution. Least 6.0.5 update. Here's a note more to those who are unable to update in Premiere Pro. I had to download the update directly from the Adobe website and install it manually. I found the update by performing a search in the support section of the Web site. I hope this helps someone else I do not spend a day trying to solve this problem!

  • sequence right and export of settings in Premiere Pro CS6, video with still images

I am trying to run a video on my site (self hosted). This video, made with Premiere Pro CS6, consists of still images with different video effects.

This video is just 50 seconds, but when I have this turn in the format mp4, webm and ogg, get large files and the quality is not good.

Could you please guide me to find good sequence and export of settings in Premiere Pro CS6 to get a video for the best possible quality on the web?

A precise description of the parameters would be great.

    Thank you

    Silvia

To export, set the resolution that you want to use on the web.

Make the sequence of parameters in a way to export these settings

  • Premiere Pro CS4 video fills the whole frame.

My Windows Movie Maker has stopped working so I bought it and I regret it completely. WMM is so simple and straightforward. I don't want a software that takes a genius to use. Even I could design a better software.

In any case, for some reason when I import a video on my project it fills the screen. It is black boarder thick around her. I did research it and I saw a lot of things on the elongation or something like that. But I'm not a computer genius and adobe is expected of course as everyone else so I was wondering if someone could help me. Thank you.

Heres a pic so it can help.

    [IMG] http://I54.Tinypic.com/jpvjhx.jpg [line]

    Welcome to the forum.

When its assets are either zoom-in, or have black bands around them, in the timeline, it is usually because the predefined sequence/project does not have the 100% source footage.

In CS4, when you create a new project, they will set some preferences global and then invited to create a new sequence (chronology). It is here that we will need to know the full specs. their source files, and then select a predefined sequence to match these assets 100%. There are many Presets and then one 'special', the desktop Preset. What makes this 'special', is that you can set almost all the parameters for costume/game, such as the size of the image (this is where you are off), FPS, etc.

If you can tell us the complete specifications. of your source footage, anyone can tell you exactly what Preset to choose, or how to customize the desktop Preset to match. That will fill your frame perfectly.

PrPro from CS4 has the ability to have different sequences for different sequences, in the same project.

Now, WMM is well enough designed to deal with standard WMV images, is very limited on the one hand, but on the other hand, simple to use - many, many fewer choices to make. It's 'standard', or nothing.

When you have explored the power of PrPro and get used to the implementation of your footage, you will come to love him. The 'power' is intoxicating, and operations will become second nature.

I highly recommend a great book, Adobe Classroom in a Book for Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, Adobe Press. The author you will return you though first the concept of using a NLE (of Non-linear editing), then give you a tour of GUI (Graphical User Interface) program. Then, although the use of resources and projects, you will return the reader through all aspects of the process of with PrPro CS4 edition. When you are finished, there will be very little, that you will not have been exposed to. Curt spends a good part of the time by saying the drive all on the 'why' and not only the "how".

PrPro-Wiki has a great FAQ section on how to do most of the things in CS4 and should be bookmarked.

Believe me, the operation will change from 'rocket science' to 'second nature '.

    Good luck

  • In Premiere Pro and video export colors are not the same, why?

    Hello

So, I filed a clip in speedgrade and exported from Premiere Pro.

Strangely when I play the video with vlc it does not show the colors I had in Premiere Pro.

Now, when I import this clip in AE it seems identical to SpeedGrade and Premiere Pro.

After have exported them sequelae with and without the color profile converter efffect set to sRGB, as well as with and without the workspace defined as srgb, they all look the same, off the coast of color

    Did I miss a step?

    VLC is up to date?

  • "Premiere Pro stores the files preview in a folder, you can specify" but how?

    By specifying a file Preview

On page 265 of the PDF, it says:

Premiere Pro stores files preview in a folder, so that you can specify.

    QUESTION 1

But how you specify the folder? I just made a clip of test and did not offer the ability to specify a folder. And there is no further mention of overview in the PDF files.

    Preview for coding files

    On the same page is:

Note: Adobe Media Encoder does not automatically use Premiere Pro preview files for encoding. To make the preview Premiere Pro files, you must select the option use previews in Adobe Media Encoder for each encoding process.

It is is not clear on the PDF document what is the quality of these preview files.

    QUESTION 2

If I choose to use previews option during export, not degrading the quality of the export of coding in an already coded preview?

    QUESTION 3

For the absolute best quality, should use found be disabled?

Location of the Preview file is determined in the parameters of the overall project.

Set this location before you make any preview files.

Project > project settings > working discs...

Some documents concerning the location of the Scratch disk is buried here:

Specify "scratch disks" to improve the performance of the system

    QUESTION 2

If I choose to use previews option during export, not degrading the quality of the export of coding in an already coded preview?

In most (if not all) cases... Yes.

Extracts are intended for real-time playback in the timeline panel.

You should not use found for export.*

    QUESTION 3

For the absolute best quality, should use found be disabled?

    Yes!

    * There are a few exceptions to this general rule about semi obscure.

  • Premiere Pro CS6 video startup problem

I've just updated for Premiere Pro CS6. On one of my systems, it would not load because of the following error:

    Adobe Premiere Pro Startup Error:

Adobe Premiere Pro can not start any capable video game unit. Please update your video display drivers and start over.

Here are my PC specs (not this, but tough CS5.5 managed very well):

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

    Intel Core i7 870 2.93 GHz

    16 GB OF RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX (296.10 driver version)

Anyone else arises or has a solution?

Nevermind that I fixed it. If anyone has the same error, simply run as administrator FTW.

  • AVCHD? Premiere Pro support clips longer?

I think buying the Sony NX5E but have heard terrible things about the system NLE not being not able to handle the AVCHD codec, so reading is really choppy.

Is that still the case, or adobe have addressed the issue.

Think im gonnna put the order for the NX5 on hold for a bit!

    Thanks in advance!

    H

Your title is on "clips" longer, but your message is "really rough reading.

These are two DIFFERENT issues as has been pointed out to you...

There is a BUG in CS6 about... split clips as you say in the message #2

Choppy playback is more function of the hardware configuration... which is total material, not only CPU and memory... and that includes the number and speed of hard drives and where you have your files in order to allow better flow of data

The absolute minimum for EFFECTIVE video editing is a hard drive 7200 RPM for the operating system and all the software and a second, separate 7200 hard drive rpm for all video files and projects

An eSata or external hard drive USB3 can work

  • How to create and save a preset in Premiere Pro CS4 video transition

I read the instructions here http://help.adobe.com/en_US/PremierePro/4.0/WS5B38CF0A-C465-437d-9D19-41C35ECD6200.html, create and save a preset effect. The problem seems to be that the transition effect, a cross fader, does not appear in the effect controls panel after being applied to the element. So, I can not select and save it as a preset.

    What Miss me?

    Thank you.

OK, you can apply the default transition (video and audio, or just one or the other) to a selection of clips. If you have a particular transition you want, right-click in the effect controls panel, and then click "Set selected as Default Transition"; If you want to change the duration, click the menu drop-down of the effect controls panel, and then click 'default Transition duration. This will open the preferences window, where you can change the duration of the video and audio transitions.

Select the clips you want to add the transition in the timeline panel (you can also press Alt to select only the part video or just audio, too) and go to the sequence > apply default Transitions to selection. Your default transition with the default duration will apply to all selected items. Of course, maybe it's only marginally useful if you actually want to custom effects, but you can go into each person and change the settings you like, such as management. This gives you at least a starting point.

We hope transition presets are part of CS5...

  • Moving video files from digital camera, date taken does not save

On Win7 Pro I'm having a problem where when I move the files from my digital camera Canon or my Sony digital camcorder to HDD the date taken on the videos aren't save. It defines at the time I moved the hard disk instead. It comes to all the dates in the properties.

It's only when I copy the video files keep everything file photo.

This happens when I copy files directly from the camera or the SD card

All the files on the camera are correct but none of those on the hard drive.

Ok. I had trouble to transfer photos from my old computer to my new computer.  The dates and times on the pictures changed.

I finally got the moved and kept the correct dates on each photo.

    That's what I did:

    1. I opened the 'Pictures' folder on the old computer and click on "Select all" under the tab 'Edit' at the top.

    2. then I went to the "Edit" tab and choose "move to folder".

    3. in the next window, called '' Elements to move, '' I found the file that I wanted to move the photos to and selected this folder and then clicked on "move".

    4. all photos have been transferred to the new computer with the date and time correct.

    5. However, this deletes all photos from the old computer.  But I do not really need them on the old computer since I will be recycling with Dell.

We sincerely hope that this information helps someone else, since I had a hard time finding how to do this task.

    Good luck.
