iBooks/List

How can I get a list of the iBooks that I've already tasted?

No (not unless you have kept their list yourself), you can see what books you bought (via the purchase of your account history)

  • is it possible to print a list of the books in the iBooks library

I have a very large library in iBooks and you want to print a "catalogue" of these books. Anyone know how this can be done?

    Hello

Yes it is possible, use the export list file.app of Mac App Store.

But after exporting to Excel, you must manually change the titles of books.

First create a destination folder in the Finder, iBooks or something like that.

    Advance adjustment:

Then click choose a folder in the window of export of the list of files updated.

Go to ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks/Books and click Select.

    Then save in Excel.

    Record in the destination folder.

    The Excel file opens immediately.

Now you can manually edit the titles of books.

  • How to print (or export) a list of the books in the iBooks?

I don't want to print the books themselves, just a list of all the books I own. I would rather print the list directly from iBooks, but it would also work to export the list of numbers or pages and print it from there. I can never remember what I have a lot of books. I even bought the same book twice.

    Hey, Krasna.

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. Purchases of information tells me that you are eager to find out how you can keep track of your iBooks. I have lots of iBooks myself, so I certainly understand wanting to keep track of them all - I'd be happy to help you!

While it is not a way to export a list of all your books in the iBooks app, you can see all your books within the application itself. On a Mac, you have several options for viewing your iBooks, all listed through the top center of the application.

    1. Under the books section, you will see all your books and their covers. A cloud in the upper right corner icon means that you bought the book, but it is not downloaded to your device.

    2. Under the Collections section, you will have the option to search through all the purchases of your iBook as well as of different categories such as books, files, PDF and the current (which shows iBooks you are currently reading).

    3. The authors section allows you to see all your iBooks, sorting by author.

    4. The Categories section lists all your iBooks by category, for example, Action & adventure, Fantasy or Biographies.

    5. Finally, the section of list displays all your iBooks, in alphabetical order, in a list. You also be able to see the title, author, category, collection, read last date, date added, size, and that he has downloaded on your device, or even in the cloud. This is probably the view you'd be more interested in keeping track of what iBooks you already own.

You can take screenshots of the list of books you have and you can print if you want a printed list of the books you own. You can find out how to take a screenshot here:

Simply because Apple makes the promotion of iBooks does not necessarily that they are available in all locations.

  • I can list both of my Apple ID in "Family share" to avoid having to switch back to access the App Store?

I have two Apple ID is acquired at the beginning of my experience of MAC and bought apps under each.  Apple is not a procedure to "merge" the two.

Is it possible to list myself twice a family member (s) under my family shares?   The idea is to avoid having to switch between applications update ID.

    Thank you

Yes, you can configure one as organizer and invite the second id. Once they are in the same family, you will be able to switch between the two in one of the 'stores', Mac App Store, iTunes Store, App Store and iBooks Store. It works great, I use it frequently.

  • Books in iBooks not visible in iTunes

This problem appeared in the Yosemite and persists at El Capitan.  He is still rampant in iTunes 12.5.1.21 that just came out (September 2016).

The books in my library iBooks may be assigned to my iDevices via iTunes.  When I boot my Mac, launch iTunes, select a device (for example, iPad) and click on books in the sidebar, I see all the books in my library, iBooks.

However, if I close iTunes and then reopen it again books are not visible.

    It is repeatable.

    Hello Bernard,.

Looks like your iBooks library seems to be disappearing from iTunes when you close and re open the app and it has happened for a long time. First, he need to know if this is happening to another user on your computer. Use this article to test this possibility and let us know how it works in another user:

OS X El Capitan: set up users on your Mac.

      • Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click users and groups.

      • Click on the lock icon to unlock, then enter an administrator name and password.

      • Click on the button Add below the list of users.

      • On the pop-up menu click new account, and then choose a user type.

        • Administrator: An administrator can add and manage other users, install applications, and change the settings. The new user that you create when you set up your Mac is an administrator. Your Mac can have multiple administrators. You can create new ones and convert standard users to administrators. Don't set up the automatic connection to an administrator. If you do, someone could simply restart your Mac and access with administrator privileges. To secure your Mac, don't share administrator names and passwords.

      • Enter a display name for the new user. An account name is automatically generated. To use a different account name, enter it now, you can't change it later.

      • Enter a password for the user, and then enter again to verify. Using an index of password is recommended to help the user remember the password.

      • Click on create user.

You may need to copy some of the books to the new user using iCloud drive or download your past buys iBook for testing purposes. For more information, see the following articles:

  • Change the title of a PDF copied in iBooks.

    iPad ios 9.3.5

When I receive a PDF file in mail and copy in iBooks, I can't permanently change the title of the document.  If I try to rename it, when I close and reopen the iBook, the title always comes back to the original.

What do you mean when you say that you "close" iBooks? I just figured out how to rename files iBooks, and so far the name stuck after an hour of passing around one application to another.

The I'm renaming of files is to go to the library list, choose the command selection (no need to select your document), then tap the name of the document for a few seconds until that a cursor appears.

iBooks for iOS is available for several years and I still have to add to my wishlist iTunes Office books. The App Store iTunes wishlist does not show books and the iBook App does not appear on my iPad or iPhone wish list, which means that I have to go to my desktop system to look at my list of gifts.

  • iTunes doesn't see all the bool in iBooks

When the dressage to sync with my iPad pro, iTunes does not see all the ANDS PDF books in my library iBooks on my mac pro. After thinking that I'm the only one having this problem I also saw on Mac/iPad another user where only iBooks library books appear in iTunes when you attempt to synchronize. There must be a bug somewhere that Apple could not find year last of harassing them.

I went through the pain and torture to find books on the cloud and copy them into the computer, remove all plists associated with iBooks and reconstruction of the library (I have close to 2,000 books and PDF documents in the library). Everything works perfectly... for awhile... now, yesterday I added 14 PDF documents to the library and iTunes sees none of them. I renamed one of the collections and created a new collection for the PDF 14 new and renowned collection or display the new collection in iTunes or the fact that they synchronize when I told iTunes to synchronize the entire library... I suspect that some of the books were removed in fact the iPad from iTunes has lost track of some of the books he has seen previously.  It's really frustrating because I don't want to use the books in the cloud, because they must be downloaded manually to the iPad or iPhone and with lots of books, I spent all my time clicking on this button of cloud and never anything read.

The response of the Apple support was to use iCloud, blah, blah, blah, because that's the way it is designed to be used which seems to me arrogant or stupid. And after struggling for an hour with a friend yesterday who had the same problem and use iCloud... same symptoms... a list of books and other non I see no difference.

Cela has anyone yet figured out?

Well, it isn't a problem for real, but I removed two files and a .plist to the library. A revived the iBooks and low and here's all appear again and iTunes sees everything, including two new collections and 150 new books and pdf.  I have used this twice before and was actually hope that there could be a real problem now.

  • iBooks only to English in the search result.  How do I do that?

I like to search the store iBooks on my MacbookPro by author then sort by release date.

The problem is that I get all sorts of unwanted results, most of the time with

several books of the author I was looking for.

I also get a lot of books in other languages listed, but I am only interested in English

novels so is there a way to limit my search to English only and also move

the inclusion of many independent authors to my research?

As far as I know, there is no way to filter searches by language, but there should be.

  • Search iPhone Ibooks works not

When I try and search for books based on research of the my iPhone iBooks app, it gives me a trend of research but when I try and look for something, anything, no search results don't come.

Sometimes, it takes me to this menu weird when I want search who has a 'back' option (this option brings back me to the regular search window if you're wondering what it does), a search bar and a list of research trends. If I try and look over there, I get research suggested, but even if I choose one of those, I get nothing but "a trend of research" screen again.

By selecting one of the trends research is the only way I can get results.

I have noticed that the problem today.

I posted here in order to cover all my bases. I've also posted under "iBooks Store" here: iPhone iBooks search function does not.

Never mind! The issue seems to have settled himself!

  • Saving documents in iBooks with iCloud

Documents in iBooks are saved during a backup using Time Machine?

IBooks is invited as an option as a place to save PDFs on my MacBook Pro, (end of 2013), but it is not listed as an option to include in the iCloud storage.

    Hi chloesam,

I understand that you want to save documents in iBooks with iCloud? iBooks in the cloud allows you to synchronize the content of iBooks between Apple and PC devices using iCloud for windows. If you want to save PDF documents in the cloud, you must try iCloud drive! Have a quick look on the links below for more details.
