iCloud icon 'Camembert '.

Nobody knows what 'Camembert' is next to the iCloud drive icon in the finder (see screenshot below).  For me, it has not moved for a while.  In my view, it represents the part of the storage you use?  I don't think it's a progress indicator as my files all seem to be fine.  I google and nothing found...

Which indicates that it is the synchronization. When all files are synchronized there should be no icon there.

  • No Photos in the iCloud icon

It is my understanding that all it take with either my iPad iphone are stored in icloud.  Yet, when I opened the icloud icon on my home screen indicate none.  Only two icons appear.  They are numbers and Pages.  Photos shouldn't be listed?  They appear if I open the Photos icon on the home screen.

I'm confused.  Are the photos on icloud or they are on my device?

    Thank you.

Log on to iCloud.com from a browser on a computer and see if they are there. Otherwise, they are not uploaded to iCloud and there are many causes for this. If you have Photos on under iCloud, they would be part of a backup to iCloud but not visible on iCloud. If you have iCloud library turned, they should appear on iCloud but this comes with the other consequences, see here:

  • iCloud icon disappeared?

All of a sudden today, the iCloud icon disappeared from my iMac and MacBook. I could recover my files via https://www.icloud.com/ but I miss the convenience of having the icon in the Finder. Any idea?

First of all, go to the Finder by clicking in the bottom of the screen of the Mac, or by selecting the icon of the Finder on the dock. In the Finder menu in the upper left corner of the screen, choose Preferences.

When the Finder preferences box opens, click the tab of the sidebar. In the Favorites box, turn on the check box next to iCloud drive. This preferences dialog allows you to choose the icons you see in the file open window pane, so you can turn off the icons of the things you can never use here. When you are finished, click on the red button in the upper left corner of the preferences box.

  • iCloud - icon grey cloud drive - files fix?

    Hello

I try to solve several problems at the moment and I with iCloud don't sync not working properly and are lag, so I'll disconnect from iCloud and turn it back on in all my devices, as a first attempt to fix it.  But I currently have about 20 GB of files in the drive to iCloud.  Some of these files have an icon of cloud greyed beside them, so I think that they have not downloaded.  If I register on iCloud, what happens to all the files that have this icon?  They stay on Mac locally as it says when I click on the sign to iCloud, iCloud drive all files will be deleted from the Mac.

    Thank you very much.

I don't really know, but I'd be inclined to move to your office first in any case. This will allow a) to protect the files and b) may even solve your current problem.

Launch the email application, select accounts from the mail menu, click the iCloud icon in the list, and then provide the required information.

If you do not yet have an iCloud account, set up the first (Apple ID and password).

  • Is there a way to store your music, photos and podcasts in iCloud, until you need it on iPhone?  I'm running out of storage space, but have a lot in iCloud.

I received an alert from Apple stating my storage was used almost to the top (of course I should have bought an iPhone with the largest storage) so I bought more storage iCloud.  I can't seem to move something there well and then download what I need.  The iCloud icon was always there to use when I got my iPod.  How to make this work on my iPhone?

The iCloud is a synchronization mechanism rather wide storage unit - if you want to stuff the device turned off but accessible in the 'cloud' watching Google Drive or OneDrive

  • iCloud Web site usability massive issues - is - this compatible?

I can't use at all iCloud.com in Firefox. From the quick connection there is a lot of questions. In the e-mail field, you cannot use Tab to move to the password field, only the mouse. In the password field, you don't see the "eye" icon to show the password (IE only?) and can't use the clickable arrow to continue, enter only. Once connected, you can click on icons such as mail or calendar, but not using '? ' in the corner. From inside all services (Messaging, reminders, etc.) you lose complete control of the any buttons, options, scrolling menus - everything. Back on the website (iCloud icon) button does not, forcing you to use the back button of the browser. By clicking on any other service presents the same questions - absolutely nothing is usable, clickable or scrollable. It seems that Javascript does not completely - but it's an uneducated assumption in the dark.

This product on 64-bit Windows 8 beta Firefox 18/19. I went through several troubleshooting steps and it made no difference in the slightest. I have cleared all caches several times, from inside Firefox and 3rd party utilities. Tested Mode safe, nothing helps. Manually deleted several add-ons, checked all modules are completely up-to-date (as always) and reset all the settings of Firefox by default (except hardware acceleration causing graphics problems in 8 - does not help iCloud.com enabled, however). It works perfectly in all browsers with similar modules without problem. I have a full, complete reset and remove profile - what is planned. However, I have a feeling that is not the issue. I did a clean install of Windows 8 and a clean install of Firefox less than 2 weeks ago.

I can be rushed in the choice of a solution - I'm not sure if it works for everyone. I have not been able to recreate this issue more in beta of Firefox 18.0.1-19 3. It was to be corrected in 18.0.1 or had a problem with 3rd party software. The thing is, I'm the only user on my computer and I know EXACTLY what has been installed or updated. It is has not been updated Windows since the January Patch Tuesday, and I tried several times since then with no luck (up to Beta 3).

Decommissioning of the Beta 3 of 18.0.1 I did not a clean install. I did a clean install with profile completely removed and everything in the previous tests, and it did not help the cause.

Basically, I'm completely puzzled as to why all of a sudden, he started to work when the Beta 3 is the only thing that's changed (I checked the Windows updates and installs for all restore points - nothing has changed since the "Patch Tuesday" - I have no day of the plugins for Firefox, but they never affected this bug even when disabled or active). It is strange that decommissioning did not reintroduce the bug, as I already had it in 18.0.1. So far, as far as I know still once did labour in 19 Beta 3.

It could have been something simply fixed on Apple's site as well. That would explain why it works in 18-19 suddenly - when nothing else has ever done a lick of difference. I hope someone else can confirm that it's started to work for them as well!

  • iCloud issues after upgrade to El Capitan

I thank everyone in advance for the contribution to this issue.  I have an old MacBook Pro (13, 2.5 GHz Intel i5, 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3)) and I recently upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan (10.11.4).  I went to open my iTunes application and when I did, he said that "your music library iCloud session has expired' and asked my Apple ID and password.  I have entered the information and click OK.  The icon turns thought appears and at this time there nothing happens.  I work with other programs, but nothing ever changes with iTunes.  I finished by force he quit smoking (even if it does not does not stop not in the menu to force).  I restarted the computer, search for the updates and tried again with the same results.

I went online and tried to login to iCloud via a browser and it worked perfectly.  My other devices (iPhone and iPad) both work very well, so I don't think it's a problem with log in information.

I then went into system preferences to try to connect to the iCloud thanks to this icon.  When I click the iCloud icon in system preferences, I got the small multicolored wheel and again once it froze the program.  Some menus don't ever popped up.  When I had to force quit systems of preferences, he said that the application did not.

I would like to be able to get for my music, podcasts and device management.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Patch T.

Try each in order to test your system after each see if it is back to normal:

    1. a. reset the PRAM and NVRAM on your Mac.

    b. Macs with Intel processors: reset of the controller (SMC) system management

    2. restart the computer in Safe Mode, restart again, normally. If this does not help, then:

Boot to HD recovery: restart the computer after the ring, press in and hold the

COMMAND and R keys until it appears the Utilities menu screen.

3 repair the hard disk and permissions:

When the Utility Menu appears, select disk utility. After disk utility charges select the disk out-bumpy entry (usually, mfgr. ID) of the list on the left.  In the disk utility status area, you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is faulty or has failed. (S.M.A.R.T. status is not reported on external drives Firewire or USB). If the disc is "verified", then select your OS X volume in the list on the left (entry indented under the entry for the drive), click the first aid tab, then click the repair disk button. If disk utility reports any errors that have been corrected, then again run repair disc until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, click repair permissions . Wait until the operation is complete, then quit disk utility. Select restart from the Apple menu.

4 reinstall the 10.10.4 update: OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 Combo Update.

5 restart from HD recovery. Select reinstall OS X in the Utility menu, then click on the button continue .

  • messages and icloud does not

Platform: Late 2009 iMac, running 10.11.4.

When I try to start the application Messages, I get the login window iCloud with colorful ball spinning of not-so-good.  Finally, I see in Force Quit what he won't and I left it.  Rinse, repeat, same thing.  Even after disconnection and reboot.

I decided to go to Preferences-> iCloud system to see what I could figure out there and while everything else I tried in the preferences system works well, once I click the iCloud icon, I get the ball spinning again and a system of preferences is not responding.

I ran disk-> first aid utility and nothing was in trouble with the drive.

    Ideas?  Thanks in advance!

FWIW, other dependent applications of the iCloud (calendar, Contacts) work OK.

  • How to remove an application in icloud

How can I remove an application that is stored in Icloud on my iphone 6 s?

Do you mean apps that have an iCloud after them. If so fortunately they are not stored in iCloud. The iCloud icon means you installed, deleted it and it is still available for download from the App Store.

iCloud only back - up what is on your iPhone, it not like DropBox where it stores data. Once you remove them from your iPhone, it is removed from your backup.

  • Ive done drag a folder on my drive to iCloud and now I can't get it

I signed up for iCloud yesterday - then dragged a few files from the desk top on my drive to iCloud. I thought that this would simply copy the files, but they have disappeared on my counter top, and they are not displayed on my iCloud drive! Help!

They are in a folder on your Mac and can be found at screw the iCloud icon in the side bar of the Finder:

If you see no icon in the Finder window iCloud go preferably the Finder/Sicebar p; and and check the iCloud drive:

The iCloud drive is just a Sync feature to synchronize documents files between devices connected to the same Apple ID/iCloud account.  If you want to move them out of the iCloud drive just drag them from the window in the screenshot at the top of the page on the desktop and put them back where you want to keep them permanentlyl

  • iCloud status - is no longer available

I am a subscriber of Apple's music with an iTunes library that goes back 15 years.

So first, answer my question probably helps if you see what I see.

Lance iTunes on Mac, go to the My Music tab in the music and put in songs to see the 'old' iTunes list view of all tracks.

From there, make sure you have iCloud State turned on as one of the columns read. Clicking on iCloud status to organize all the tracks, based on the State.

Okay, so a good majority of my most 6 000 titles have a status of 'Apple Music '. Second largest State "downloaded". Followed by "bought."

A few tracks of glitch show as 'pending' which I will return later and a small number of titles listed as "Inadmissible."

BUT... now for the one who really got me scratching my head. I love 86 titles listed as "No Longer Available" now what I have is, why not just be "Uploaded" status. Why are not available for download. You are in "No Longer Available" makes it sound like his only at half way through the process of Apple's music not be able to match to the iTunes library.

I know it's a bit of a dynamic system and for example, today I was watching ALL of my Beatles collection has been designated "Uploaded" I thought huh, shouldn't that be 'Apple Music' at this stage. But as soon as I hit him "ICloud music library Update" under file > library of course enough, almost all Beatles songs have now be renamed 'Apple Music '.

A call to Apple but also review the support "about iCloud library icons and status' page I gave no answers on how to fix these titles"are no longer available. Hoping to find others in the same situation, I hope that some fixed and if you throw in thoughts of 'pending' and 'Ineligible' tips questions please do not hesitate!

    Thank you!

    Hello

I'm not fallen on iCloud status "is no longer available. It is not listed in in iCloud library icons and status - Apple Support. What icloud icon? Still the tracks in your library on your computer.

With regard to ineligible securities, which is the media type, the flow, the file type and the size of the files?

In what concerns securities which are still pending, is the icon of waiting or not?
