  I use Adobe Bridge when I want to display thumbnails, but that does not solve the problem of not seeing them on the desktop. There are third-party utilities that let's display you thumbnail as MysticThumbs - thumbnail image for Windows Explorer. and there are others.

  I've been using Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F for years, don't know if it's a default shortcut, or if I assigned.

• Self-image-key issues

  So I see I'm not the only one having problems with self-image-key option. After finally finding the icon isn't where it was like each instructional video and reference book that I found is, which led to much confusion and aggravation here, I learned was for some reason, was transferred to the drop-down list.

  For the original version of OS that you got with your laptop, you don't need key product for activation. Whenever you install original recovery image Windows is automatically activated.

  In the past product key label was placed on the bottom of the laptop. New model do not have it.
  Unfortunately you can not do more. Valid product key is part of the original image recovery only and cannot be used for any other activation.
