Iconia b1-720 keeps overheating

My tablet is only 7months old and he just repeats it is overheating and then stops. It doesn't feel particularly hot, and it's annoying because I can't do anything on this issue now before its judgment.

If anyone has any ideas how I can overcome this, that would be great.

Since it is still under warranty, contact your regional Acer support service, there is not much to see on the software side.

  • My macbook air keeps overheating also theres crumbs under key could someone clean it up?

Hey, I have a few questions? My macbook air keeps overheating and the fan keeps making a sound of overheating, and it will not stop (I downloaded an application that controls the fan and also cool that it can get custody and it helps as long as he can but not much). Also theres crumbs and dirt under my keys could someone fix/clean? How much cost these (separately)? And how long would it take? Thank you

On the issue of heat, try a SMC reset:

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201295

If no success, run an Apple Hardware Test:

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201257

Note that an error free AHT is inconclusive.

about the "crumbs", use a fine brush in concert with little compressed air to dislodge.  It can also be a good idea to open the MBA and inspect the inside of the foreign body.

  • My Satellite P30 keeps overheating...

    Hello

My Satellite P30 keeps overheating and stop playing computer games. I had this problem 4 months ago and sent my computer to Toshiba. They sent to me with a new fan but now 4 months later the same problem comes back again.

I doubt that the fan is broken again because I changed it about 4 months ago. I read somewhere on the internet that the problem might be rather an accumulation of dust on the heatsink. I heard that there is a problem with many Toshiba models, which will suck the air from below without filter.

If it's my problem, how can I clean my radiator?

    Thank you
    Hugo B

    Hello Hugo

The problem is not just dust. A friend of mine has a similar problem and at the end I saw that he uses his cell phone on the table with the tablecloth. The of cold air over the lower part was closed and unit was suddenly switched off.

Be also careful that your device can catch its breath and you can do a test, put on something to do with the distance between the laptop and the desktop (four books or something similar). Please try this and let me know if the problem persists.

    Good bye

  • My Satellite keeps overheating and turning off

My laptop satellite keeps overheating and stopping when doing hard CPU work. The thing is if I open power management and keep the reset of the method of cooling performance max speed up the fan and it cools.

It does not seem to adjust the speed of the fan if left only you I have to keep changing it and in a minute or two, it slows down again and then have to change once again at the speed of the fan to the top.

No idea why this is happening and how to fix it? Grateful for any help. Thank you arran

    Hello

In my opinion your laptop should be cleaned in professional way. I put t know why you n t mention which model of laptop you have, but I know that some models are not easy to clean because of construction and must be dismantled.

  • Qosmio F20 keeps overheating and stops after 4 h

My F20 is 5 months old and keeps the unit from overheating and stopping. It does when it worked for about 4 hours. I use a cooling and support to the recommendation of the support line, I've updated the bios.

They also suggested it works without the battery attached unit, but when I removed the unit from the battery and it ran on the sector it would not pass.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

First of all, please check the energy saving settings.
The cooling method must be on "Maximum performance".
Also change the method of control of the CPU on 'Auto '.

In addition, you should check if there is enough room around the laptop.
It is very important because of the airflow.

In addition, you can check the ventilation openings. It is possible that the cooling fans may not work correctly because of the dust and debris inside the ventilation openings.
I read a lot of comments here in the forum and it seems that fans of cleaning might help. You can try to use the vacuum.
But if you do, be careful!

If the laptop overheats after this procedure so I would recommend contacting the Toshiba service partner in your country. Your laptop should be covered by the warranty at the moment.

  • Qosmio G40 - graphics card keeps overheating and crashing all at stake

My nVidia 8600GT card in my laptop Qosmio G40 overheating guard and crashing when I m gaming.

It works all the games that I put on it fine, but overheating then crashes and me kicks off the games I play m.
Is it just because it s a laptop and it s inclined to do?

I tried to increase the fan speed with riva tuner and precision, but no program allows me to access the utility of fan speed.
I presume this is because it s a specific card from the laptop... I also can't find the driver for this card from nVidia updates.

    Help, please... James

    Hello!

Are you using the Toshiba display driver? This is important because the pilot factory don t have protection against overheating and the graphics chip can be damaged.

In addition, this could also be an overheating problem. If you need to clean your laptop with a jet of compressed air that you can buy at a local computer retailer.

Last but not least, I would not try to change the speed of the fan or something else. This will be controlled automatically.

    Good bye

  • Satellite A300 keeps overheating

I bought my Satellite A300-09Y year last at the same time as 2 friends
and we seem to all be confronted with the same problems
I use my laptop for games, I rarely even use it for video clips.
It's mostly just for study purposes, but for some reason any
He just guard overheated and the circuit breaker is triggered every 20 minutes if I don't raise
If I raise, it will last up to 35 minutes.
I am very worried because once I left it on a plastic table mat and he ended up reshaping of the carpet
which is used to protect the table of bins in a hot oven.

How can I solve this problem?

I have Satellite A300-1LI almost 2 years now and use it everyday for my job.
It is pre-installed with Windows XP Home edition and Win7 (dual boot) and so far I didn't notice this problem.

If you use it for daily work, I recommend to use the balanced power plan, turn off all unnecessary background processes and make sure that the laptop is placed correctly on the table. Ventilation cooling down must be free and your laptop should be able to take a breath.

Make sure that the cooling on the bottom grid is free. You can also try to place the back side on two books or CD boxes to make the distance between the office and the bottom side of your laptop a little higher.

What you can also do is to clean the cooling rack. After a year of use I can imagine the dust inside and she can also mobile blocks cooling process.

  • How to deal with a computer that keeps overheating?

    Original title: overheating

Overheating of 3.2 Ghz Sony Vaio system XP if hurt my machine stops - what can be done?

The two main causes of overheating are that the CPU fan does not turn properly and that dust has accumulated inside your computer, and is inhibiting cooling.  Desktop computers can be opened and cleaned more easily than a laptop, but assuming that the fan is not the problem, you can buy a can of compressed air that can be used to blow off the dust of the computer.  Sometimes that will hold it for a while.

  • My computer keeps overheating and shuts... How to fix?

My computer guard gets hot and shut itself down... especially when I try to play games. Today, it will stop even when I tried to run a virus scan.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Hello

Clean the dust out of it and make sure the fans are working properly and vents are clear.

Disconnect the power before attempting to work inside.

You can buy cans of compressed air from computer stores to blow off the dust.

And if it's a laptop keep in a well-ventilated place and avoid placing on the bedspreads.

    See you soon.

  • Laptop computer Evny 15 keeps overheating

So I just send my laptop in back for the 7th time to fix it. The laptop is overheating on a flat surface, like I got it there are 4 return repairs.

Oddly enough it happened only after that the laptop has had horrible downturn. After sending in the laptop only 3 times, they thought it was coolsense. So we uninstalled and now, magic! He stopped crawling the OS up to 2 fps. The person on the phone told me it was a common problem of evny 1. Since then, the laptop overheats.

Now HP tent do not misunderstand, they replaced the fans and the ti overheatign 3 again the day I got back just the chrome race, but with the gpu on. If I disable the gpu and put the battery on powersaver it does not overheat.

This is a new installation and everything...

If anyone has a clue what could be wrong? Oh and the screen is not attached to the laptop. It wasn't sice slipped the day I bought it but who ever is Point is someone else has expericne with envy 15? Am I unique? Here are common questions of interest?

I'm hopig he'll be back by soon set fingers cross post. Lucky 7!

7 times? Generally, the question is raised after 3. If it is not permanently fixed this time, I would recommend that you ask your question to be reassigned to the appropriate Department.

  • Iconia B1-720: will not update to OTA!

  • Acer Iconia B1 - 720 update fails

    Hello

I tried to run the live update on this unit a number of times. Whenever he asks if I want to 'Restart & install', and I click Yes. It goes to the Android update screen, an error flashes and it restarts. Once he comes back, it says 'update failed'.

Any suggestions on how I could troubleshoot the update or run it manually?

    Thank you!

If under warranty, I can only suggest to contact Acer, not a standard behavior support service on the updates.

  • Laptop keeps overheating after the last update

I run Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on a laptop Toshiba Satellite M505D. I went about four months without any serious problem; But starting yesterday my computer started to overheat. The fan does not turn to cool the unit until it heats up a lot (I would say between 80 and 90 degrees) and then must blow the hot air outside to cool the unit down. Restart the computer to reset the fan, but then after an hour or two the problem returns. I don't have this problem with Windows until the most recent update, which I believe was able to change a setting, there should not be and messed up my computer ACPI.

No idea how can I fix?

(And what if all you say is "check for dust accumulation," except for someone else.)

It is unlikely that an update can change the settings for the fan. This is something which is controlled by the driver provided by Toshiba and you will need to contact Toshiba on this subject.

The reason for the change in behaviour is probably a increase your processor load. Make a right click the taskbar, start the Task Manager, click the processes tab and click the button "show processes for all users. Process that consumes the largest percentage of time processor? How much is? What do you see when you click on the performance tab?

  • Overheating on Satellite A300-05U

Had for 6 months now, cleaned out with dust and scratch but the CPU is fine. The CPU keeps overheating and the machine will stop automatically. This only happens when I am gaming, but now it begins past also under normal conditions. Downloaded speedfan to refine what the issue is, so I don't know about you, it's the processor. Don't know why it's happening if shortly after I had the machine...

Trying to avoid having to send it in cuz there all my work United to this topic, if anyone know of a quick fix for this?

Unfortunately, there is no miracle solution in this case. The only solution is to backup your data and give your machine to an authorized service partner, because they need to solve this very serious problem.

I don't underestimate this because in the worst case, your machine could get some really serious damage and I think you'd do anything to avoid this problem.

    Welcome them
