Icons on the desktop to pdf format

All the icons on my desktop like google chrome, opera, player, gom player km changed in pdf format and when I try to open one of these a pop-up if poster, indicating that doesn't happen the adobe reader to open .exe files. So, I uninstalled adobe reader software and everything returns to normal. But I'm unable to open pdf documents, so I installed adobe reader again and the previous statements of problem... Please help and a solution.
