  I think I have updated a major problem with the latest update from microsoft.

  I've been running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit for over a month now, as I received it for a launch party I was the host.

  The computer worked so very well, so this morning I came back to it, it was working fine, there was a box saying that a windows update was waiting to be installed, I clicked it, it was of course a big one because it was the first for this new install to get.  When he asked me to restart, I did, he went through his usual routine and now, as I sit typing this, I am facing screen "starting windows" frozen again.

After you have uninstalled all the updates I had installed on 24 December 2011, 1 update could not be uninstalled and it was the update to sp1 of windows 7. After you have uninstalled all updates (except SP1 cause could not be uninstalled) I tried to play again the media and my system hang or aka freeze for a few seconds, and this happened even when I was gaming.  I had a lot of problems after that update, including any media type of videos to play just thrown music windows media player. After restoring my computer to a previous state (before that the updates have been installed) now my computer works normal again. So, for those of you having problems with windows and your way of thinking too yourself Uggghhh, why he did this? Well this is the service pack 1, windows now, I don't know any alternative to restore your computer to an earlier date before the updates took place, and if you don't have a win 7 is pretty smart and im sure they have a restore to the factory settings. These are the only options that helped me get rid of my system hanging up.   I downloaded the 14 updates (15/12/2011) and 2 were for Outlook and 2 for Microsoft Office. When I try and load a MS Office 2007 program, it takes about 10 to 15 seconds. When I try and load MS Outlook it takes about 10-15 seconds, but when I try to go to Inbox to a different folder or calendar or Contacts it takes 20 to 25 seconds before anything appears. This happens just after I downloaded the latest updates. It was beautiful before.

• Mice are not appearing after the last update of Windows 8

  After update to the last version of windows 8, my mouse does not work on my computer no more. I use a "HAMA Optical Mouse AM-5000" and a 64-bit Windows 8 operating system to my office. Before the update, everything worked very well, but a little at the time (perhaps a week?) there was a software update that began when I shut down my computer for the night and after, my mouse wouldn't just appear. Then I want to restore my computer to before the update and everything would work fine. It happened maybe 3 times in the past week. Today, however, every time that I restored it to an earlier date, the mouse still does not. I tried the following things:

  Deactivation and reactivation of the mouse
  Uninstall the drivers and search for updates
  Try different mouse (2 USB, 1 green connector)
  Using the troubleshooting in the Device Manager tool, a fine of the question
  Non of them did it no matter what and I wonder if I'm the only one to receive the problem. and what I can do about it. Trying to navigate in windows using only the keyboard becomes very annoying XD.

  In the (Control Panel > system and security > Windows Update > View Update History) all there is "you have not tried to install the updates for this computer. There "18 updated important and 5 available optional updates to install, but I think that those who might be updates that have been the cause.

  In the (Control Panel > programs > programs and features > Installed Updates) there are a bunch of installed updates. The most recent is "Word Viewer 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3): WDVIEWSP3" which has been installed on 26/09/13 and "update for Microsoft Windows (KB2889543)" which has been installed on 25/09/13.

  I downloaded the latest drivers from the mouse on the site that you have linked and no change. By chipset are you referring to the processor (Intel i7)?

  After the updated 07/07, pages many (but not all) which worked well previously are now time and need to be recharged to load (for the first time, somehow). Started by clearing cache, then checked for malware and ended by reinstalling Firefox. I copied my profile, rather than starting from scratch with extensions (about 5 only execution).

  All of these problematic pages open correctly in Internet Explorer.

  As test, please disable McAfee. It caused problems.

  After the last updates of windows have problems with start up and now drivers. I get an error code 21 when I try to install the drivers AMD apparently missing.

  May 14, last night I had several (automatically) downloaded windows update

  Today, I was unable to boot my computer with Windows - tried the disk check, start checks etc, and eventually had to use System Restore (for help before the critical update to restore).

  Perfection, everything works, but knowing that windows will attempt to redo an automatic update, tried to check online - no one seemed to have a problem and (naivly) thinking I could always do another restore of the system, I rebooted again.

  Same thing worse. Could not do a sys restore either just before restarting or last night. Chose a date earlier (last week) but then lost the USB drivers and pilots display. Downloaded updated but refuses to let my AMD driver install Windows I have a very unpleasant screen... and I must now stop the installation of this update "critical."

  Would appreciate advice how do my installed display driver or whether anyone else has problems following this update

  Hi Cbella, YouTube is generally used with an HTML5 player, who is a player who does not use a plugin video in MP4 format (for example, it does not use the Flash plugin).

  To verify which player you see (which does work), try a right click or Ctrl + click on the YouTube Player and check the "context menu" that rises.   Adobe Flash not crushed and no error message is visible. All that shows is a black screen for Flash video. Make a right click of the screen shows only a non-interactive 'a film has not loaded' and the clickable link to the home page of Adobe.

      I think the Flash 12.xx is a phantom. I can't find it on my comp. Only 13.xx shows anywhere but on the Pugins page in Firefox.

     About the .Js I cannot find a User.JS in the profile folder but ther is a user.bk and other files that have.json. Should I do anything with these?

  It is a problem with the extension of the RSS icon (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions), so you will have to disable or uninstall this extension until its developer released an update to fix this.
