  All my folders open in the compact format and I need to maximize their.  My browser and programs open to full size, but none of my records.  I'm running Vista 64 bit and I would really like to see my files in the original format when I open them.  Can someone help me solve this problem?

  Try this, if that suits you:
  1. open an instance of the specific file in Normal mode (not maximized).
  2. adjust the size of the window by dragging its edges to your liking.
  3. click and drag the window title (blue bar) to a position that you want it to appear with other open windows.
  4 press and hold the 'Alt' key and then click the close button in the upper right corner (red x) to close the window.
  5 reopen the folder window, when it opened, it should play the size and position it was closed.
  6. now, click the expand (square, top right) button, the window becomes fullscreen
  7 press and hold the 'Alt' key and then click the close button (red x) to close the window.

  When you reopen this particular folder window it shoul open "Maximize" mode and when you click the "Restore down" button (the middle button) it must narrow down the position and the size described on the previous steps.

  Repeat for other windows files that you want to set. For example, you want the photo folder to be placed on the left at half the size of the screen and the screen half on the right music folder, when you click its button 'Restore down' respective they'll show side by side.

  Windows remember the size and the closure of the post office files. If you closed the window maximized, it should open maximized. If you close the screen window on the left, it will reopen its doors in this size and position.

  I want my windows always the same size - the full measure of my screen.  In this way, I get the "see thru" effect at the top of the window of the program (title bar?), and the bright edges all around are also transparent effect.  Is there a registry setting, I can define or incorporate into a file of the script editor?  I'd rather have the effect of see-through, but when I have the maximize, the top of the window is black.  As it is now, I always grasp two corners diagonally opposite to the window, and drag them to just the right place.  Maybe there's an easier way? :)

  You just change the Internet Explorer shortcut to open in a maximized window every time it is launched. Here is the detailed procedure.

  1. click on the icon or a shortcut in your desktop browser.

  2. click on Properties.

  3. click on the dropdown next to run it, and then select Maximized.

  4. click on OK.

  Launch Internet Explorer and let us know if problem still persists.

• How can I make an icon of office always open a URL in a window max?

  I think I asked a long time ago and I thought I knew how to do this, but it ain't working for me.

  I have an icon on my desktop (I keep only a few here) and she's ready to open / * link removed * /. But for some reason, it always just open this site in a half size window.   You created the shortcut on the desktop may have some command of the file, send, shortcut on the desktop of a browser or something similar. This creates the equivalent of the half-a-shortcut in that it records the target URL but not the program that launches the target URL. Instead, it relies on the default browser and file association settings to launch the web page from the URL. Since you have no executable program in the shortcut, you are given the choice of opening in a maximized, minimized or floating window of the application.

  The following should be the correct procedure to create a shortcut to Internet Explorer for that allows you to set the view state of the application window.

  1. Right click on a box empty office and select new, shortcut.
  2. For the location of the item of Type: type or paste in,.
           "%PROGRAMFILES%\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe.
     When you have this in the text box, click Next. If the location of the browser application is incorrect, you will be asked to fix it.
  3. Provide a name for the new shortcut, and then click Finish in the lower right.
  4. Right click on your new shortcut on the desktop and select Maximized in options of execution on the sharing tab.

  Your new shortcut should now open in a maximized window. Another option is to open Internet Explorer mode full booth (e.g. Fullscreen) by adding k at the command line like:

  I would like to install and be able to click on a profile of Firefox (I guess that the profile) or pass parameters to the firefox.exe and Open firefox about 6 separate windows (not tabs) on different home pages.

  If I use the vertical bar in the Options, it will open separate tabs but also cause the problem below that I also want to solve.

  Many times, I would also like to run another instance of firefox by clicking on the Firefox icon in my Quick Launch bar and DO NOT want all these sites open again.

  How is this best achieved?
  In the past I just opened each site individually in its own window.

  You can create several shortcuts on the desktop and include the URL on the command line and use the - new-window switch to specify a new window.
  
  You must use the - new-window switch for each URL (window - new - window-new-URL1 URL2).
  
  If the command line gets to long then you must use a CMD file to store the command line complete (start "" firefox.exe - new-window etc.).

  If I then click on the box to extend the Illustrator window to full size, I can open the file. It's just frustrating that whenever I try to open a file by double-clicking it's I get this error message.

  The size of the window for Hearts is actually design in Windows XP.

  However, there is a solution. You can follow these steps:

  
  Step 1

  a. first of all, copy the game.

  b. click Start, all programs, games.

  c. right-click on the game of hearts .

  d. Select Properties from the list.

  e. press the button find the target on the next window.

  f. right click on the highlighted file and select copy.

  g. then paste the copy on your desktop.

  h. right click on your desktop.

  i. Select Paste from the list.

  However, I tried your suggestion and, guess what, IT WORKED!

  I am so happy.  Thanks for your help. Something so simple but if you don't know what to try then it can be so frustrating.

  Incidentally (and this is not a complaint) by clicking on desktop icons now open full-screen windows, which suits me very well, but when I hit the screen button "reduced" on a window then all windows to open in reduced format, but ALL are EVEN smaller.  I'll play a little more but thanks again.
