Ide.conf memory settings not taking effect

Hello

I increased the JVM arguments of memory in the MW_HOME/jdeveloper/ide/bin/ide.conf file as follows:

AddVMOption -Xmx1024M

AddVMOption -Xms1024M

However, when I start integrated WLS, JDeveloper always runs the java command with the old values of memory JVM:

C:\JDEV11~1\JDK160~1\bin\java-client -Xms256m-Xmx512m ... weblogic. Server

Oracle documentation and Google search results that all tell me to update ide.conf exactly as I did above in order to increase the memory available to the JAVA virtual machine.

I have even uninstalled/reinstalled JDeveloper without any luck!

Of course, I could try to update setDomanEnv.cmd in the integrated field of WLS.  That, however, wouldn't be ideal and not documented either approach.

I use JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0 (11.1.2.4.39.64.36.1) the studio on Windows 7 (64 bit) version, which I installed it using Jdeveloper Windows Installer (.exe file).

Please suggest.

Thank you

Amar

Ide.conf parameters for the JDeveloper, not well integrated WebLogic Server, for which startWebLogic or setDomanEnv script needs to be changed.

    HTML {}

-J' took the original call of bootstrap.css without-serif fonts also. Can't see what works here? Or does go to the body instead?

    Thank you.

Bootstrap puts "sans-serif" on the html tag, then later in the file adds "neue helvetica", helvetica, arial, and without the serif on thetag. So you will need to replace the body tag settings, or this is what you will see.

I tried to reset the password by executing the apxchpwd.sql as sys in SQLPLUS but modified past is not being recognized when I try to connect to apex_admin as the admin user. Could someone tell me what I can do to successfully reset the admin password

    Kevin,

Do you have updated recently to an earlier version of the APEX by any chance? Are you sure that you run the script apxchpwd.sql APEX 4.2 and not an older version?

It may seem like a stupid question, but I have seen this problem when you try to change the admin apex password using a script from an earlier version.

Can I replace the memory and not to lose what's on the memory of the former?  I have a Mid 2007, 20 "desktop Mac, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz processor, 1 CPU, 4 MB L2 cache, 4 GB of memory, 800 MHz bus speed.  I have a backup device.  A RAM slot is damaged.

You are confused of RAM and disk space available.

RAM stores information temporarily while the Mac is enabled and the application is reached. RAM replacement has no effect on the long term of your information storage.

The hard drive is where your information is stored in the long term. If you replace your hard drive, you need restore the information from a backup.

  • Satellite A100-828 - new module of memory does not

    Hello

I recently bought 2x2gb modules for my A100-828. However, I can not any memory module to adapt to the second extension slot. I tried both the new modules in it that the old module of 512 MB which was originally in the laptop. The new memory is certainly compatible as two new modules work in the first expansion slot.

Memory does not seem to fit properly in the second slot (I put in a good sense ad. it won't push back.)

Anyone have ideas, what is the problem?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

I put t know why do not the module in the second slot.
The two sites are completely identical and also support the same standard.

I think you used it just not compatible modules, or you have tried inserting modules backwards
    AFAIK you need DDR2 667 MHz (* PC2-5300 *) module SODIMM 200 PIN.

  • Application error memory could not be read 0 x 00000014

    Hello world

I would like to know if any of you have experienced this problem.

I run an application built by me in a computer with LabVIEW Run-time 9 in which I display a PDF file using an ActiveX control:

The target computer is running Adobe Reader 9.0.  Everything works perfectly until the application is closed.  From time to time (almost most of the time), I have the following error in windows:

«Application error: the instruction at "0x0ffd609c" referenced memory at "0 x 00000014".»  The memory could not be "read".  Click OK to complete the program."

Try to find the reason why, I found a few forums who say that the reason is a bug in Adobe 9.0 (in fact, I tried to run the application with Adobe Reader 8 and I can't make the same mistake).  Someone of you have had this error before and found a solution?  These links were not on LabVIEW and I have no idea how to get around this problem.

    Any help is happy.

    Thanks in advance.

    Dani

Who may be interested, I managed to find a workaround for this bug in Adobe Reader 9.0.

It seems that, somehow, LabVIEW and other programming tools, hang around with this version of Adobe (I guess it is because of this bug) when the reference to closing Adobe created by the ActiveX container.  That the solution will be closing "by hand" this reference, then saying Windows to release the whole relationship between the application (LabVIEW for us) and Adobe.  The idea is that when we did with VI which displays the PDF via ActiveX, we should close the reference to the ActiveX control, close the reference to the VI, and:

-process all Windows messages currently in the queue of messages (.NET: System.Windows.Form.Application-> DoEvents)
    -run CoFreeUnusedLibraries in "ole32.dll".

I hope this information can help someone, I lost too much time to understand this (eventually find the answer in an Adobe forum!)

Some programs that you have running is a failure. You have to find what it is that you can take appropriate measures such as uninstall/reinstall the program if it is legitimate. The first thing to do is to always make sure that the computer is free of viruses/malware:

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

If the computer is clean, you can use a combination of Process Manager, the Configuration system, AutoRuns and boot in diagnostic mode utility to find out what is running and otherwise.

Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

Important - do not use the System Configuration utility to stop the process. Use rather Start > Run > services.msc [Enter] and stop all services unless you really, really know what you're doing.
