I'm running an integrator system Windows 7 64 bit on an older system. What I would do is change the hard drives for some more great and maybe change the CPU. Is it possible to re - install the generator in system because I'm not changing the motherboard?

Yes, you can reinstall Windows 7 OEM System Builder License on the new hard drive with the new processor.

It will not be a problem in this case, since you don't "move" installation, you are doing a new installation. The less it will take is activation of the phone, as you change the hard drive:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

Hi, I use lightroom 5 and have been for several years.  Today I imported several batches of today images from different cameras without any problem, but the images of a particular card (with an incredibly large memory) does not matter.  I see other people have had similar problems, but I am not able to follow these solutions and would very much help here.  I have an IMac.

If you had probably two problems

Permissions, the other is the hardware problem causing slow import and the card cannot be read by your operating system.

  • Dell XPS 8500 - start not at all - motherboard problems?

I have a Dell XPS 8500 I bought in January of 2013 and of course, is now out of warranty. I have not had too many problems with the pc, but last week, I was copying some video files on the SD card in the card on the hard disk drive. My wife told me that supper was ready, so I left the system to finish copying the video files on the HARD drive and ate with my family.

After we finished eating, I went back in the Office to discover that my computer was turned off. I tried to turn it back on and got no answer to it at all. I held the power button down and still nothing. After unplugging all devices still do not get response. I unplugged the power cord that goes into the food and green on the back of that flickered as I unplugged and plugged in so I thought I had my problem properly diagnosed as a failure of the power supply. I ordered a replacement PSU and installed today but I'm still no response from the computer when you try to start it. I have all the cords of the PSU properly plugged into the HDD and the dvd player and the connector 24 pin to the motherboard as well as the connection of 4 pins so.

The ONLY answer I get when trying to turn on the computer is that the fan in the power supply and fan to the rear of the case against surges momentarily and return to the stop. They are not even a half of a revolution, and that's all I get.

Any suggestions would be wonderful! I wonder if it's a motherboard problem and if so, where to find a replacement motherboard. And if not the mobo, what else it could be.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

  • Do not replace the motherboard, XP installation CD does not start even

First: I am a complete Windows user no, I program and works exclusively with Linux, so I have little experience with issues licenses and the WGA behavior.  This is probably going to be long, and I apologize.

The computer of my mother, about 7 years old with less than 500 MB of memory reported and a 1 GHz AMD x86_64 processor, took too long to do something, and I could hear the beating of disc on almost any operation, so at Christmas, I suggested that she order some upgraded hardware.  I checked with her that she had the original installation media, used by the person who set up your computer, and then we ordered a new combination of mother/CPU card and 4 GB of memory.  The new processor is always x86_64 and has an EIDE interface.  The IDE HDD is the master on the IDE one bus, and the CD/DVD device is the slave.

I followed the instructions to the: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/824125

The first thing that happened is that he told me that this installation media is older than the installed operating system, so it would not be able to perform the 'upgrade', only a new resettlement, which clearly, we do not do so because all the data from my mother is on the single partition on this IDE drive it.  Is it because that is not the original installation disc, or it means that something (perhaps a network-downloaded 'service pack'?) changed software installed to the point that the original install CD doesn't know what to do?  If this is the last, means that install CD are useful that as long as no significant changes are made to the system?

So, then, I decided to Exchange material anyway and see what happened.  I removed the old motherboard and put in the new, hung the Ribbon IDE and started.  The machine went into a loop of reboot by which it would ISSUE, begin to read the hard disk, flash may be a bit of a boot image from Windows (a fraction of a second, in fact less than a cycle of vertical refresh complete as part of the screen should be painted before disappearing), then a bluescreen with multiple lines of text appeared for a fraction of a second then it should reboot again.  My father suggested sitting in front of it with a camera and try to photograph the text screen so that we can read, but that seemed likely to end in frustration.

Then, I tried starting the original installation, CD, based on the assumption that I could follow the second set of instructions in this page of Microsoft above and pretend the old motherboard had not experienced a catastrophic without any possibility of preparation failure.  The installation CD, a disc with a holographic surface that is called 'Windows XP Home Edition' and includes the number of '2002' on the face, could not start exactly the same way (the display text could have been different, as both were illegible, but it was about the same amount of text and blinked on the screen in the same a short way until the computer resets).

I thought that maybe the power supply was insufficient for the new machine, so I tested the material with a Linux boot CD, which started perfectly.  Now, the Linux CD was burned in 2008, not in 2002, it has the advantage of having been written with new hardware platforms in mind.

I now swapped the old motherboard, and start-up of the computer again to the old, slow down the behavior.  I told her that I have no way to proceed, and that she would have to take all the pieces to a specialist in Windows to do things again.  I have the opportunity to make another attempt in a week, if anyone can tell me how to do this job.

So, what could I do, or ask him to do, to solve this problem ourselves?  Is it possible to create a CD that can be used to upgrade the old motherboard to the new?  I understand that Windows XP is no longer supported, so I fear that a registered technician may be contractually forbidden to get the job of the computer.  I don't want to put an end to the removal of all of its installed software or lose its settings, bookmarks WWW and so on.

If I do a fresh install of something, I think that perhaps it would be better just to go in a different way.  I could install Linux on the machine, then set up a KVM virtual machine and install Windows XP in this.  No doubt the virtual material presented by KVM is generic enough that the old CD would be happy to install it, and it would give the advantage of being able to point its Windows State control so that she could always relax while problems due to infections by malicious software or a sloppy software upgrade/installation.  However, I don't know the legality of it.  My mom had a Windows XP computer and this procedure would end with always have a Windows XP computer, but I think that this could still be banned.

This is the story.  Thanks for the solutions, or some clarification of misconceptions that I could express my very limited experience with Windows-based.

EDIT: the replacement motherboard is this one: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138195

With more that 3 GB of physical RAM installed may or likely to cause a condition of bluescreen when you try to install or repair Windows XP.  It would be wise to limit the amount of installed RAM 3 GB or 2 GB.

  • Why can't some other attachments open, I send Microsoft Works with any email account that I use (yahoo, gmail... It does not matter)?

For the past two years, other people could not open attachments, I have send from Microsoft Works.  It doesn't matter if I use my gmail or yahoo account.  When I save the documents it saves it to the wps format.  Ive tried to change and he did some weird things when I do.  It's like it saves it in any format, I chose (I never know if it's the right one... I literally just choose one and hope it works), but he still keeps the wps document.  So I have to double documents saved in two formats instead of one replacing the other.

He did not always do that.  There was a time when I was able to send attachments without problem.

Help, please!  Its make my new work work home.

    1. open your MS Works... File... Save as... to save as type, select .doc format..., click Save.

    2. Yes, you have now 2 identical files, one is the wps format and the other in the .doc format. Remove the wps, if you wish.

    3. the doc file by email as an attachment to your recipient.

  • Can not activate after motherboard change

Change of motherboard even care. like an old, now windows wants to activate my product key. Typed in back lable of round numbers, but does not recognize the product key. This software has been installed at the factory of gateways.

The problem is twofold.  First of all, the product key is already registered as being used (on the PC).  Second, the product key is associated with the mother and changing card that makes it seem like this is a new computer that you are trying to use the product key.  The solution is to activate manually.

To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC and only installed on this PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.

I hope this helps (it should).

  • Practice good/bad workaround or does it not matter...?

    Hello

I have a project that requires some shared actions to hide. / show something and needed a quick fix to hide 1 9 show I've done as follows... (keep in mind, I use CP7 not 8)

I copied my slide show 20 of hide1 from another project, that maintains the connection between the buttons and images etc, but because it was too much for my other project, I just put things on the slide not copied displlay output etc and then renamed those I wan to designate in the new project and everything works fine However, if wer do this is this bad practice as any other editor CP further down the track, a need to modify the project, might think it is a mess and mish mash with ttoo much (well hidden) object in the slide and may make it more difficult for them.

My initial thoughts on which is while it can look a bit of a waste, my approach to any existing project is to deconstruct to see exactly what is happening, but a few others could just look at it as a real pain. (I did this way that I couldn't change a shared in CP7 action)

So, I was just wäntig to ask this question to the community and get feedback on your thoughts on this approach...? (I hope I have explained this properly and is understandable, etc.)

    See you soon

    Sabine

Each shared action exists also as model in the drop-down list that begins with white in the advanced Actions dialog box. I'll make a copy of the description of the action and its parameters, because you have to reenter those.

Open the template that you want to change. You will have to fill in the parameters (no matter what) and can make changes. Then save it again as a shared action. The biggest problem is that you need to refill all the descriptions.

The file size is only a problem for the raw file, never for the published file. And from my experience, I know that using a common action repeatedly to replace the double tip action lets you save on the size of the file. More shared stocks have descriptions, that is not the case for advanced actions. I used to add some text containers in the work area to have a description of the variables and advanced actions.
