Ideas for a Windows Media Player 13...

Hello. I had some ideas for a WMP13.

Being that WMP12 can't read Blu - ray discs and playback 3D has become a popular feature with these other more recent by other companies media players, I think that Microsoft should put to the point a player Windows Media 13 which reads Blu - Ray discs, has 3D playback features and has a totally new format, look and appearance compared to WMP11 and WMP12.

Any thoughts anyone?

Kind regards

Richard Steed

  • How can TV 31RL938 - I find installation key for PC-Windows Media Player

To watch DVD from PC - Windows Media Center (Windows 8) on my TV (31RL938, without fire related to the internet), I have to do an Extender installation with the Media Center on my PC (the TV symbol is on my PC).
That's why I have to put in an installation key (8 digits), which should be on my TV / Extender by choosing 'Windows Media Center' here.

But how can I find it?

    Thanks for the help!

    Have you managed that?

To my knowledge the two devices; your TV and your PC must be connected to the same network: in my case its home WLan.

I don t use Media Center, but I made the connection with Windows Media Player.
Using the Media Player I can listen to the video and music to my TV or stereo receiver...

  • Do I have to install a specific program for my windows media player play a movie than US (.bup)?

A movie will not play through my Windows Media Player because it says it does not support the (.bup) files.

    Hi matthewrayskylarethan,

Please use the forum for answers,

A BUP file type is a backup file created by a variety of applications, including treatment, recognition and Word presentation packages. The BUP file type is generally created automatically in the event of a program crash or if the original file is corrupted due to a programming error or viruses.

Can you tell us where you get the file from?  What is the file supposed to be? A movie? Soundtrack?
This could mean that your video file or the sound track is corrupted when download.  As a result, he created a .bup file to report the error.  Give us more details so that we can provide you with accurate solutions.

    Hope this helps,

  • Codecs for MP4 (Windows Media Player)

I downloaded videos with my Windows Media Player 11.  But now I get a message that my drive does not support MP4 extensions.  I tried to get the codecs I need and ended up with some other flash drives.  How can I install the codec for the necessary codec for Windows Media Player?

    Hello Janet,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community and we give the opportunity to help you.

The file format MPEG-4, as defined by the MPEG-4 specification, contains encoded MPEG-4 video and audio content encoded AAC Advanced Audio Coding. He usually uses the .mp4 extension.

Windows Media Player does not support playback of the .mp4 file format.

You can reproduce .mp4 media files in Windows Media Player when you install the decoders compatible DirectShow MPEG-4 packs. MPEG-4 compatible DirectShow decoders packs include the Ligos LSX-MPEG Player and the EnvivioTV player.

See the article mentioned below which contains more details about the same:

  • Is there a way to transfer music videos of You Tube for my Windows Media Player?

I found a few music videos on You Tube, is there a way I can get them in my Windows Media Player library?

OK and blows up you for not using the youtube converter. If you have an amazon account, you can go there and download it program of music and then buy the songs, or if you have an account log Msn on that range from music and then I think that you need to download a program by them I don't know, but do any of them. :)

  • Windows Media Player doesn't recognize the phone error"is not a connected device: for synchronization

For months, Windows Media Player recognized my Samsung Galaxy SIII without problem. For weeks now, however, he is not picking it up. My computer detects the device when I plug it in, and made my phone. But when I try to sync the music on my phone, Windows Media Player says that I don't have a device so sync is not an option. In addition, there is no option in advanced settings on the Synchronize tab, so I have no idea how to solve the problem. Manual and automatic synchronization does not work.

    Hello, Olivia,.

Thank you for keeping us posted.

Even if the phone is recognized on the computer, sometimes bad or corrupted SD/flash card card can cause this kind of scenario on Windows Media Player. Try to disconnect the SD card and check if the Player sync with the phone. Also check if another device appears under the list of devices in Windows Media Player. For troubleshooting, you can also uninstall the software of the phone (Samsung kies) and reinstall them.

Please let us know if the problem still persists.

  • Satellite A110 media Apps for Windows Media Player do not work!

Hello, I have a Toshiba Satellite A110 Notebook since 2006.
2 days ago a friend formatted my laptop. In order to make the systemstart a bit faster, he stopped a few applications of Toshiba in the configuration of the system. My laptop now very well VannerieUn.

But here's the problem: before the format I could use these multimedia applications useful for my Windows Media Player - mainly because of laziness to switch between programs during the work. :-)...
But now, they no longer work. :-(

Is it possible, that we stopped a request, which is important to make these applications to run?
    Or is an additional driver?
Or they work only in cobination with Windows Media Player 10. (now, I installed WMP 11)

I hope for your useful replies.

But think, that I'm not this great computer genius! ;-)... :-(

Try to enable all disabled applications. Go to START > run and write MSCONFIG inside.
When the System Configuration window is open go to the Startup tab and allow all applications with blank Startup Item.

Restart your computer and check if everything works well again.

  • I need DRM for windows media player XP

I can't install the movie on my computer

    Hello

Be more specific on the issue that you are facing:

    · What version of windows media player installed on the computer?

    · You play the movie or you try to copy the same?

    · You receive an error message or error code when you perform the action?

    · Do you remember all the recent changes on the computer before the show?

    · What is the service pack installed?

  • I have Windows XP Home Edition w/service pack 3. Windows Media Player will play CD but won't play DVD. What I can do. I am a beginner on the computer.

I need help for fixing Windows Media Player in Windows XP Home Edition. Plays CD but will not play a dvd. I had my computer cleaned by a computer company of fix - it about a year ago, and they have installed service pack 3. I tried the free VLC Player and it would not work.

FWIW... Win XP cannot natively recognize Commercial
DVD video... it requires a DVD decoder.

You can buy a DVD decoder at the following link:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Info about DVD decoders:

Or you can download and use one of the following freeware

    * Do not know why you dislike VLC... most users find it excellent *.

    Media Player Classic Home Cinema
    http://MajorGeeks.com/Media_Player_Classic_Home_Cinema_d6213.html
    (works on XP/Vista/7)

Or... you can try to download and install one of the
    Following codec packs.

(FWIW... it is always preferable, if you create a system restore
point before installing any software or updates).

    * Proceed at your own risk *.

    (1) K-Lite Codec Pack (full)

  • It's impossible to watch MMS streaming in Windows Media Player

I could not watch and streaming media using the mms: / / Protocol in Windows Media Player. I found this site http://news.steelers.com/teamPass/support/stream/ and looking at the source, I was able to get this link mms://69.65.23.160/Roethlisberger_05HoustonPost_340.wmv.  If I copied directly in windows media player, it is impossible to connect, but if I copy in VLC Player it plays perfectly. No idea what preventing windows media player using the mms Protocol?

    Hello Kqmaverick,

Thank you for your message.  Unfortunately, the reason that you can not view this workflow is that Windows Media Player 11 supports more protocol Microsoft Media Server (MMS).  I linked the article below for your review.

  • Windows Media Player and a 5.1 Surround sound

I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 660 and I use the speaker system, I had with my old computer - a set of very good quality Sony 5.1 Surround Sound speakers.

I tested the speakers under sound settings - all speakers are appearing in the work. I also played music using Nero media player and Media Player Classic - everything works fine.

However, whenever I try to play music in Windows Media Player - the only sound from two speakers?

I'm confused here - I know that the speakers work, as evidenced by the sound test and the fact that they work with other media players, then why they won't work with Windows Media Player. Have you tried a few "fix - its" Microsoft - nothing has worked so far.

I use Windows 7 (even on my old computer - incidentally where the media player worked well) and equipped with K-Lite codec pack.

Anyone has any ideas - I use Windows Media Player the most and have all my songs stored there, so it's going to be a real pain if I can't use it and it's my favorite player, but it's just annoying and frustrating.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Try this.

    -Go to the control panel
    -Find the icon of speakers
-On the devices tab of reading, find your set of speakers and click Properties
    -Click on the enhancements tab
    -Check the box "Speaker Fill".
    -Click OK.
  • Windows Media Player freeze at the beginning

Windows Media Player, at the start, is perpetually open. He opens the background and framework of the program, but never ends complete the library or creates any text. I let it stay open all day but no progress in the program at all. It is impossible to interact with (your arrow is the loading circle spinning and clicking on does not work) and the only way to stop it at this point is the Task Manager

This happened to me often and the only solution that I found (and even it is not very reliable) runs a full scan of the system for my Norton antivirus. the problem is also solved when my Windows 8 updates. Once I did a system restore and that was able to restore to a point where he worked.
I tried the program general troubleshooting and resolution problems of settings of the Windows Media Player as well as the resolution of the problems of the Windows Media Player library and or "solutions" to the problem.
