• Word 2010 on PC - using the Acrobat plugin in French - kerning is not correct in PDF format

  Here's my problem: I have a complex Word document (manuscript of 700 pages with internal hyperlinks by using bookmarks and Table of contents).

  I can't get the PDF to create correctly. I have the latest Acrobat and also the Word Acrobat plugin. I also have a Mac and a PC.

  I can't save the PDF on a Mac because it will not create a PDF file with dozens and dozens of hyperlinks internal - so I need to get the Word/PDF to work on a PC.

  I have great difficulty exporting the word because the document is mainly in Arial and the process will not embed Arial. Word/Acrobat will embed all fonts used in the document, but not Arial. It is a real problem because the Arial font is changing dramatically in the PDF file. Letters are even overlapping - exported as a PDF from Word, the document is almost unreadable. Of course, the police works great when you create a PDF on the Mac. I CAN incorporate the police once established in a PDF of Acrobat file, but it does not solve the problem of kerning. This isn't new the text layout.

  I'm frustrated and feel out of options.

  Any suggestions or alternatives? Is this a known bug in Word/PDF?

  Another autour work could switch to another font, but that would be extremely tedious because it moves the items from one page to another, and the document is 700 pages.

  The problem with the change of the police, it is that the document is set up like a book with page breaks in specific areas and chapters from the right side of pages etc.

  The reflow would be tedious.

  After many tests - in this file - Arial does not incorporate when choosing the options EMBED police or even make a Distiller profile. And the absence of incorporation is the origin of the problem of kerning.

  However, I found a solution that I'm very excited.

  If you select / a conformity: PDF/A3-B STRENGTH incorporate all variants ARIAL used in the document and the kerning the problem is resolved.

• Calculation does not show in pdf format

  Hello!  I hope someone can help me.  I made a grid which should show each sale lines total and in the second line, it does not show the total when you test the form in the pdf preview.  All calculations and all look the same as the other lines that show the total.  Anyone has any ideas on what would make a line shows that a total when all others do?  I have the attached form.

  I don't know why it is happenin but if you change the binding on the total to normal field, it works fine.

  Before the impression of my work, I save my files PDF versions.  More often than I like, when I print the PDF from my computer, some of the graphics do not display correctly.  For example, a part of a line (like a whirlwind) graph could be cut leaving a blunt right border.

  Anyone else have problems with PDF files?  Is that what I can do to control this problem of quality?

  I solved the problem by opening the PDF file with (and print from) Acrobat Pro instead of Apple Preview program.  Everything works fine now.

• Printer does not print in PDF format. Does not set the printer as the default printer.

  I have windows vista 32 bit and quickbooks pro, at first we could not open quickbooks, called and had to reinstall, then the printer will print not in quickbooks. • My alt text applied by object Export Options in InDesign CC tags are not displayed in PDF format

  I am marking my images and adding tags to text in InDesign CC by object Export Options and even add Alt in the structure for my images, but when I bring it in PDF, the image is not labeled in the order of reading and text tags are not displayed. How can I fix that, apart from making the work directly to PDF?

  I solved the problem - discovered that InDesign CC do not mix images of previous versions of InDesign, so took everything in the document and placed into a new document, exported to PDF and all that the tag perfectly!

• Animated GIF does not not in interactive PDF format

  I added a GIF animated in my INDD file and can see the animation in the preview of the EPUB, but when I export and open the interactive PDF file, the image is static.

  I use CC and am on a mac, but have asked a few people on other devices to open with the same results.

  Any idea?

  While the animated GIF is supported by EPUB, it is not supported in interactive PDF.

• Multiline text field, not packing in PDF format

  I work in InDesign CS6 and I have a text field where users can take notes at the bottom of each page on the master page. I have the right properties defined in the dialog buttons (see below). However, when a user enters text, the text is not wrapping (see image 2), it shows just as a long line of text. If I go to the PDF file and select the text box and choose multiline, it works, but I don't want to have to do this on each page of each document. Is there something I'm missing when creating the PDF file or set up initially in InDesign?

  

  The pages Panel, select all the pages containing a button text field then of flyout arrow select replace all elements of the master page. Hope this can help.

• Audio will not play in PDF format

  My MP3 files won't play in a PDF interactive Adobe when exporting my InDesign working paper. They play very well with the 'Preview' ID and also when exporting in Flash Player (SWF) format. I followed all the instructions as best I can, which seem to be very frank, so what little stupid thing I forget? I've not done this before.

  The problem is Apple Preview. It isn't properly preview multimedia. Try in Acrobat or Reader.

• Table Excel in document does not display in pdf format

  I create multiple PDF files in Acrobat Pro 9 (Windows XP, Office 2007).  After inserting a document with multiple Excel charts, sometimes a table is displayed and another will not be on the same page.  Here are the very small maps.  This time I had to recreate the table in order to show him in the pdf, but this is not always possible if all data labels are not displayed.  Any suggestions?  Large images see it is already checked.  There are also times when there is a bmp in the header on a page.

  I think that what you feel is related to this known issue some characters in the text box lost when you convert PDF in Excel 2007 files (Acrobat 9), which is linked to an Excel printing problem.

  Yes, you could States of batch layer, provided their order or names were the same in each document. All scripts in Acrobat is done with JavaScript, and batch processing is now part of the toolset of measures (it still can work JavaScript snippets against files, just via a new system of dialogue based on a Wizard).

• The references in the table FM titles do not work in PDF format

  I use FrameMaker 8.0p277.

  I have inserted many links to titles of the Table in a book. They work when I Ctrl + Alt click in the FrameMaker file. However, none of them work in the PDF file.

  All other cross-references of the position of the styles and the URLs work well, it's only the headings of table who fail.

  I tried to check the styles of paragraph and character for the traps that I was taken by those from before, but there seems to be none.

  Please try then. Note: it is generally recommended to have this option when you create interactive PDFs of FM. Post-processing routines tend to be a tad aggressive and remove valid links.

• Left Page page master don't points not export in PDF format

  I have a 36 page catalog + cover ready to be taken out. It's my first major InDesign project and I am having some problems.

  My catalog will print correctly, however when the export in PDF, all the items on the left hand master page (header/footer) will not export.

  Of course, I would like to find a nice list of what can make and not different versions of Acrobat and Reader.

  I sent a PDF (version Acrobat 6 (PDF 1.5)) in InDesign CS4 (see config system. below) and my seniors were struggling with it. We had Acrobat 6 and could not read URLs and yet the Interactive Elements worked. I made sure that I specified the ' export Include - hyperlinks and Interactive Elements when I made the PDF. What should do? So, I found the site called OldApps.com and downloaded Acrobat Reader 6.0 for Windows. Of course, the URL did not, but the fact that interactive. Going on the idea that having to insert manually a hyperlink in InDesign seemed to have worked and let ID/Acrobat to create the links does not work, I made all the links manually in code. It worked and now all links are live.

  If I had some kind of list that I would look at what was not and what has been taken in charge in earlier versions of Acrobat/PDF and I could then make adjustments to my INDDs and PDFs as a result. Such a beast exist? What should I create one?

  1.74 GB OF RAM

  We prefer in format Acrobat (7 and 8 where I at least) that detects URLS in the text. It's probably what's happening. If you have this checked pref, you get links in the pdf file that you are viewing and if others don't have this checked pref, then they do not see the links.

  I am trying to create a named calculation that allows my clients to calculate their cost. (The simple sounds... but I'm new to JavaScript so I am struggling to fix it)

  Objective: I want the formula to calculate the total price of the customer based on their status as well as Add-ons. So the total will be either reflect a "Non-member" price with modules OR a "Member" price with Add-ons.

  Booth price:

  The problem is when I enter text in the field for the member price and then add some text in the fields of the add-on denies the member price all together.

  So, if I say: I want 1 stand 'Member' ($750) with 1 "Booth Corner" ($90) and 1 "Extensions stand" ($95), the formula says that the total is $ 185 while it should be $935.

  The problem is the value of your v1 whether always true in this test GOLD fields stand has a value, so v1 we will always choose more v2. Try this instead:
