• Satellite L750-1MT - high time

  OK so I just purcashed a second hand laptop, a toshiba satellite L750-MT, the specifications are the following:

  i3 - 2330 m that I upgrade to i5 - 2450 m
  4 GB of ram which switch to 8 GB
  hard drive 640, which is ok
  and a video card which is a nvidia gt 520 m

  OK, so I get so I wanted to see if she had any intervence on the motherboard, all ok chipsets and video chip have never had been reorganized, the laptop was clean. I've rechecked several times... someone can prety enlighten me please? I am really afraid do not fry the video chip... These are times when I play maxed out 36-50 fps and archeage lol or when I run the first (only the cpu is affected)... I did the BIOS update also... no change... either way... I might have a bad driver? as I have not tried a windows reinstall...

  Problem:

  Sometimes when I turn on my PC the hdd led indicator will Flash continuously. This situation lasts for 5 to 30 minutes, if I'm not out, reboot, run chkdsk (which is something all the time, not bad sectors). On my windows resource monitor, it shows on hdd part I/O is like % 10-15, but highest activity at 99% 97 time or 100% while in a game process or a simple process as the Google search when this happens frozes PC but not the mouse.  Sometimes when I restart the computer with this error, im taking no. operating system error is currently installed on this computer. Then I turn it off to new cutting of all power, click sur-de button for 30 sec and then when I turn it on it fixed this problem. Since the beginning of this post my hdd led was all now its normal for example.

  There is no problem with cpu or gpu heating but when I unplug my hard drive its hot as hell.

  So far, these are my problems that I could remember if I remember anything else, I will answer this post to help grace.

  It sounds against intuitive to remove the HDD from the box and freeze them if the HARD drive is not the primary cause, though I understand you want to do something.  You don't want to cook your computer.

  If you use Linux (or have done so in the past) on the same box and the same drive HARD, overheating do not happen, so there must be something in the way the system is used when you use Windows or in the way in which the computer accesses his files after installing Windows.

  • If you use the system for the game and it is not a gaming machine, in other words, it is not built for her, then you are beatinig up and it will heat.  End of the story.

  Final words:  These are not laptops, the computers laptop dv6 and dv7 running to hot when it is pushed and have to be executed on a surface of decent work with a lot of traffic in the air under them.  You need a cooler if you want to use the system hard, even a configuration not related to the game.  Do not use the laptop on a couch, a bed, a rug, on a Chair... If you do these things, you will find yourself with a hot notebook and a sad situation.  These models run more hot than some and you have to protect.  That being said: they aren't supposed to burn.

• Time Capsule - unstable internet connection

  Using of a new airport Time Capsule and a detail Comcast modem my internet connection is intermittent.

  

  The display above goes green and then red in no obvious pattern.

  

  I don't know what to do now. In time, I started this response network screen Diagnostics went all green again. But it won't last.

  I tried the usual reset of the modem and TC. The problem affects my ethernet connected iMac and MBP of my wife.

  Any ideas?

  What model is your TC? If it is earlier than later to get the A1xxx of the base number... If it's the AC model just to say... Version of ca. No number is given which is really poor.

  What model is your comcast modem? Real brand and model base please.

  More important if the comcast is actually a router... That is to say, it has more than one ethernet port.   Have you tried Coretemp. HWMonitor and HWinfo have bugs with APU AMD processors. It should say somewhere around 40-50 degrees Celsius. Speedfanis another program that I know which signals specific temperatures for GEA.

  Looks like you're on track - to answer your questions:

  Hi all!

  This problem lasts for at least a month now, so I figure it's high time to ask about it. Several weeks back my iPhone 4 has stopped to give me a new email alerts. I have all my accounts the value 'Badges, sounds and alerts.  I get the sound / vibrate when I get a new email but I DO NOT get an alert box. It was always nice to get a glimpse of emails and I want to come back.

  Of course, I receive pushed emails I get sound. Anyone has any ideas on where to go from here? The problem persists after a reboot.

• How Amazon smart search restarted my computer and how do I prevent it?

  Amazon smart search has not only taken over Firefox, but Google Chrome and IE. I tried to uninstall anything Amazon other than the Kindle reader, that was installed several weeks ago. It didn't happen immediately after that I installed Firefox. I was looking for some cleaners, PC, accession and pilot, but read carefully and don't have a clue how Smart Search resumed.   I think the simple cleaning of fans using the vacuum cleaner should solve this overheating problem. In my opinion the fans cannot run properly because of the dust and debris inside the laptop. You use this laptop for several years. It is high time to clean the cooling modules.

• HP Pavilion Slimline s3027c Desktop PC startup problem

  One of my friends asked me to check his computer, when you press the power button... It lights up. This is where the beginning of the issue, I tried two different monitor, nothing is displayed. On a webs that switching ensures once the button is pressed, the led remains a yellow color and becomes ever green as it would normally when it gets a signal "video". Also, I have two different keyboard & two different mice, without a bit of luck. I was able to get the cd/dvd drive to eject, so I know it must be at least this component. My friend told me the problem that she was then the screen worked a little, that he'd go off @ random times. I pull the disk hard on and he hooked up to some test equipment I have, the HDD works, and I could see the files that are on it. Anyone has any suggestions, sometimes you reach a point where it is not profitable to put money in the machine.

• Satellite P30 - battery will not work correctly

  I have a Satellite P30 for more than a year now and overall I am very satisfied with this mobile 'desktop '.
  The worrying thing is that I keep the laptop high time constant to allow room for the fans. (If they get hot the laptop just turns off).

  My question is about my battery about 3 months ago, the problem began, suddenly at random time my laptop can not regocnize battery which mean that even if the cable ca is in hes runnin on battery and goes so goes out after a while. I always leave the battery in the laptop when I use it because the cable ca is not quite stable more unfortunately so I need to keep a book on the cable in order to make it work.
  Is it possible that I can claim a new battery or do something about the problem? It is very difficult when I'm workin and all of a sudden the light just goes and I know that I have a max of 30 min before he died.

  I don't think that the problem is with your battery, it is more likely to be a bad contact on the ca cable where it plugs into your laptop. In general, the ca card makes an intermittent contact and that the power of fools management system into believing that AC power has been disconnected. It follows that the power, then transfers to battery power and it ejects then until the powers of the unit off.

  I managed to solve this problem on my SA30 anchoring the power cable at the back of the laptop so that there is no constraint on the card.

• Satellite P30 Power Off & color display

  I have 2 intermittent problems that may indicate my laptop is endangered, but first of all, I just want to get organized? s advice on the situation.
  I have a Satellite P30 145 just over a year and I'm in the United States for six months and its HOT here. The laptop turn off a few times a month before my arrival in Florida a few weeks ago, but now with the much higher time (70 - 80F inside) it shuts down a lot during the day when the processor is going strong (like a Spy Sweeper scan) and I can really only use in the evening and at night now when it's cooler. I said that this is a motherboard problem now as its gone way past being a matter of dust/fan. The laptop is raised well above my lap tray so that the 2 fans are free to do their thing. Makes no difference.

  Secondly, just recently, I started having a blue tint to white areas on the screen and if it was, say, a picture, then color would suffer too. It comes and goes when I press on the area of the metal envelope just above the button "Pause" along the top of the keyboard. Again the Geeks in Best Buy today (American electronic store) said that he was bound to the motherboard.

  Given these 2 boring (at best) issues and the enormous cost of a motherboard, I guess I'm really a new laptop and the fact that he is only 13 or more months is shameful.
