If I buy a 6 Iphone to AT & T in the United States, can I switch to a Japanese carriers and continue to use it when I move to the Japan?

I don't want to move to Japan in about a year, but I need a phone now, so I thought I'd go to get a phone from AT & T. However, if I'll just have to buy another phone when I arrive at the Japan, I can't buy one now and have a useless iPhone I still pay for until the contract is in place.

I just spent 9 months in the Japan, and when I arrived, my AT & T phone went all carriers Doccomo (a Japanese phone company) on its own. He also spent at SoftBank, another company in Japan, one or two times too. Does that mean that I could potentially buy my iPhone in the USA and just switch to another carrier to the Japan and will continue to function normally?

In addition, I don't know if it's important or not but better safe than sorry: my phone stopped working a few months my trip to the Japan. He refused to turn on no matter how much I charged.

Yes, but you want to have the phone unlocked AT & T prior to departure for the Japan, unless it is already unlocked, you can buy and install a SIM card from a Japanese cell supply that supports the iPhone.

American coverage is not international, so you can not repair under warranty to the Japan. If you need repair work there, then make sure the store is approved Apple or you will receive no more than no support whenever you return to the United States.
