No, but Adobe offers a discount on the price of admission to the entire show. Adobe seminar room will be back this year yet, but are of demonstrations and public seminars. A number of speakers UK will be available, but the emphasis is on creative cloud, Lightroom and Photoshop CC.

  • My hard drive crashed and I can't get in touch with Microsoft because they want a product id and the number I have is not working. Help!

    I've had my laptop for several years and a week ago, the hard drive crashed. So, although I had all my photos and movies and other saved, I lost Vista. This wouldn't be a problem if I could find the disks that came with the computer at the beginning, but I've moved several times in recent years (college) and I can't find them. Anyway, I'm now trying to get in touch with Microsoft to get a new drive, but they won't talk to you unless you can provide a product key.

    There is a product key on the back of my laptop, but their system apparently doesn't like it and so they're going to make me pay $ 50 just to send someone. Someone knows how to bypass the product key thing, so I can get a customer support?

    as vista came preinstalled Microsoft do not offer FREE support for this issue of yours. That is why the price of $50.

    and they ask for a product ID, not a product key that you mentioned; but who has the same result; no free support

    to reinstall vista:

    Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

    they do it for a nominal cost of $

    or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

    Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

    they contain all versions of vista

    I received a rather difficult request for one of our users of Acrobat.

    Basically, this person has a 100-page document which contains information about employees, with one employee per page. Each employee is identified by an employee number.

    This user wants to divide this document of 100 pages, 100 pages 1 documents and save each new document by the number of employees.

    Example of
    We have a document employees.pdf (contains the text copy-pastable):

    Page 1

    Employee name: Fred Jones

    Service number: 00001234

    Page 2

    Name of the employee: Jane Doe

    Registration number: 00009876

    We want to divide it into two separate documents PDF, automatically, save in two PDFs named 00001234 - jonesfred.pdf and 00009876 - doejane.pdf.

    Unfortunately the employees would not be listed in the order (only in alphabetical order).

    Is this possible using Acrobat? Does anyone know of a third-party product that could achieve?

    You can have a considerable advantage because your form contains the same text immediately preceding the name and number. You will need to see if extract the words occur in the order that they appear on the page. There is no guarantee that the words will be retrieved in the order that they appear on the page, but often they are. In all cases, you will be able to get the position of the relevant words for use by comparing.

    I like the elegance of the submenu accordion elements, but I want the entire stack of elements menu collapse in a header 'MENU' (there is a page of mobile format).

    As shown in the picture, I want to remove the wood in the corner.  I thought using the Clone Stamp tool would give me the look of the corner by sampling above the wood and then clone on the wood.  But what I got is a lighter angle of research, not what I want.  I tried some blending mode, but I don't get the game I want, so I thought I would ask here.  Is there a better way to do it?  I have this same problem with other image like this.  I take a point of sampling part of the image and then the Clone Stamp ends by lighter or a different shade in the buffer zone.  Yet once, maybe the clone stamp tool is not the right tool to do this, if so, what else is there?  The Healing Brush tool is worse for what I do in the type of healing.

    The Clone tool may not be the best choice when large areas are involved. It is easier and faster to make a selection of an area of choice and then using Edit > transform > deformation to replicate and extend the area selected, as shown here

    You can not; but you can create a mixture corresponding to the slope. Is a simple way with an essentially horizontal form symmetrical of (having the Center reference Point in the palette/Panel processing selected):

    (1) create the outside shape of color on the Board;

    (2) Ctrl / Cmd + C + F to copy it to the front.

    (3) reduce the H value of the copy by an appropriate value (10 or other) and apply the center color.

    (4) select the two and object > blend > (have smooth and align on the path selected in Options to mix).

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

    When I try to start Lightroom CC, I get a window with a countdown by saying "28 days left" and at the bottom of this window, there is a "further assessment", click on the button, but when I click on it (to start using Lightroom), nothing happens. I was not able to launch the app for 2 days!

Because your description of the indices look like a potential case of massive too indexing, increasing the workload required to keep all this index.     Not to mention that my comment about the execution plan was probably not clear enough - I mean, it's the HASH_AJ trick prevents the optimizer to do clever things with predicates that I described.

    So basically, the question is: what execution plan that you get if you omit the HASH_AJ advice? And how much compliance requires this new plan at run time? You may need to add a NL_AJ key instead to get what I have just described, but it would be interesting to see, in the first place, what execution plan is generated without any evidence.

    A few other comments:

    First_rows optimizer mode: this application allows you to use the optimizer mode FIRST_ROWS requires? Because in principle, if you have an application that actually retrieves most of the time only the first rows of a result like set, then you should use (n) FIRST_ROWS optimizer mode instead. FIRST_ROWS optimizer mode is obsolete since Oracle 9i, if I remember correctly, and has strange side effects on implementation plans, especially if the SQL contains an ORDER BY clause.

    If your application usually treats all rows in a particular result set, default optimizer mode ALL_ROWS is more appropriate - using FIRST_ROWS as a band-aid because with ALL_ROWS things are slower only shows that there is something wrong that must be treated in a different way (by investigating why the ALL_ROWS mode can't seem to appropriate as the first activity execution plan).

    CURSOR_SHARING = SIMILAR: CURSOR_SHARING = SIMILAR Note has some other effects secondary (and bugs). Oracle recently announced on My Oracle Support (see document 1169017.1) CURSOR_SHARING = SIMILAR will be deprecated (no longer supported) in Oracle 12. See this note for a description why this setting can be problematic.

    Of course, if you have no control over a provider application and it works very well and has been optimized for these parameters (FIRST_ROWS CURSOR_SHARING = SIMILAR) then there not much you can do (or do) on this subject.
