  When sending a PDF file the text should be automatically converted text outlines.

The form is divided into 16 sections and each section has a single paragraph of text that must follow its own section of the curve. I don't want any deformation or distortion of the text and so far, the only solution I know is to manually create and lines of text link which is a lot of work compared to just power curve a set text box. Is this possible?

  New to the forum and new to Photoshop/Illustrator. I already picked up a lot of tips from you guys, but I hit a wall with this.

  Basically, I'm looking for a way to reduce some white text to a black rectangle. I thought likely to distort the brand a compound path, but registration is shaped using envelope. Is there a way to delete the distorted envelope text for a shape?

  You can 'develop' the appearance of the envelope (object > decaying appearance).

  Or you can make the text distorted envelope in an "opacity mask" by:

  1. Move the object to the envelope above the black rectangle
  2. Select the two objects
  3. In the transparency Panel context menu, choose "make opacity mask".
  4. A second thumbnail appears in the transparency Panel (left thumbnail represents the object being masked. The right is the mask object
  5. In the transparency Panel, you may need to check "Clip" or "Invert mask" to make the mask works as expected.

  To change the opacity mask, or the objects click the left thumbnail in the transparency Panel. It allows to activate the channel of 'transparency' (just like the "chains of mask" in Photoshop). By default, the content of the channel is hidden. To display only the content of masking "Option / Alt + click on ' the thumbnail of the mask in the transparency Panel.

  Hi Sana, distortion of the envelope is not scriptable.

• Illustrator crashes on save in. AI with a layer of text not indicated

  Illustrator 2015.3.1 - 10 of Windows with the latest updates installed and NVIDEA GTX GPU 970 (372.70) latest drivers running.

  Illustrator was working fine a couple of days. Today, when I was working on a new file and went to save, Illustrator crashed. I have re-opened, automatic backup of backup is restored, immediately try to save, down again.

  After a LOT of troubleshooting with support and be wound up to software engineers/developers. It came down to a simple problem that has happened in the past with Adobe Photoshop.

  If there are all the fonts installed on the system that contains special characters in the name of the FILE (I had several that were the symbol of the brand), it will make Adobe Illustrator fails when you change a file, or when you try to save. Previously, I had this problem with Photoshop, but they released a patch that fixed, so hopefully that happens as well with the Illustrator.

  Hope this helps anyone else has a similar problem.

  Any who have code/script for this, or how to create the code to extract all the text on an active document in Illustrator. Extract the text as the text for any and all text elements in the document (TextFrameItem, TextRange, TextPath, etc.). We can just empty the text with alerts().

  I'm not sure of is what order or hierarchy to retrieve the text. Where do we start from activeDocument.textFrameItems/TextRanges/etc. How are text in Illustrator? I'm new to Illustrator scripting.

• Gel CS5 Illustrator registration - freezes only when I put the text on the artboard

  I've recently updated to Yosemite, iMac 24 in at beginning of 2008.  At the time when I try and save an Illustrator file with the text on the artboard it freezes / rolls and stops responding.

  That is the only question - I can create new files and save them.  He deals with vectors and raster images normally and I can even save the work on work plans that it is only when the text is added.

  Then you have a bad font in your collection. Try to check all your fonts with FontBook and remove any suspect or duplicates.

  I have attached a picture of my question. In Illustrator, my all my text and vector Graphics look badly pixelated, even in 100% zoom. I checked the preferences and anti-aliasing is enabled. If I save my file in PDF format and view it in PDF format, everything looks great. No idea why this is happening? I would appreciate any advice.

  OK, looks like retina was the problem. I installed a software update on an adobe application manager and who has done the trick.

  I have two files, exactly the same way both created in Photoshop.

  The first file I can open in Illustrator CS6, and all text is editable and still intact.

  The second file flattens always, regardless of what options choose in Photoshop or Illustrator.

  Text layers have any effects or transparency.  Some of the Photoshop raster layers have masks, transparency, layer effects, etc.

  It's resolved, but I still want to understand why.

  I crossed the Photoshop file and removed a layer at a time, saved the PSD, then open in Illustrator.

  Finally, it came down to the text layer.  With the layer, everything came in flattened Illustrator.  Without the layer, everything worked fine.

  I went back to my original file and converted the messed up the text layer to a smart object and everything works as advertised today.

  VERY strange.

  One of the things I do most often, as a technical writer, creates frameworks anchored including an illustration, some blocks of text and a few lines that connect them. Import into FrameMaker, a related illustration (or create a frame and import is the illustration), resize the frame surrounding the illustration, and then create blocks of text inside frame illustraton to include captions.

  I would reach the same goal in InDesign CS5, but have yet to understand what is the right way.

  First of all, I assume that the equivalent of "Below the current line" anchored frames, ID, is a framework inserted, that must be repositioned vertically.

  But then, after that I placed a picture in there, I don't know how to add text blocks that remain fixed within the frame of the illustration (the framework 'container', I would call it). It seems to me that any item, other than the illustration cannot be included within this framework 'container '.

  Any suggestion on the other how it would be welcome.

  You'll want to make your artwork and blocks of text as separate objects, and then group them before pasting in the text stream to anchor the group.
