• Illustrator CS4 - when I save it for the web my vectors are pixelated. Help!

  I've recently updated to CS4 (I know, I'm always late), but since when I "save for web" my vectors appear pixelated. It seems worse when I want a transparent background. My pictures are for the web and it won't.

  I have read a lot about this and can't seem to fix my problem, but here is what I tried: anti-aliasing is checked, view > preview raster, view > preview overprinting, the object > pixelation and probably a few other things. If anyone can help me with this problem it would be GREATLY appreciated! I have attached a picture so you can see what I mean. I created this schematic in Illustrator CS4 and saved for the web with a transparent background and, as you can see, it seems pixelated everywhere.

  It shouldn't look like this as a GIF, but what happens if you save it as PNG24?

  Try to disable the GPU performance by clicking on the icon of the rocket in the App bar and the de-selection of the Performance GPU checkbox.

  Today an illustrator file with vector objects and fonts that I worked on the days looked pixelated when enlargement to more than 400%. I could not find the fix so I have started a new canvas, selected all my pixelated, pasted into a new canvas and all transferred file properly so I could continue to work with my vector elements again.  I was curious to know if anyone knows what does my vector elements change in pixel and how to fix it.  Thank you guys

• Illustrator CS4 save vector art for Microsoft Word

  I have a logo created in Illustrator CS4. I saved the file for use in Microsoft Office using the 'save for Office", export as a .wmf and even save vector art in Photoshop as a .png. I can get a variety of formats to work well into Word documents.

  That is the problem. Finally, the Word document will be saved in PDF format. When the file is saved as a PDF (from Word), the color changes in the PDF file. How can I fix this? I tried to record the changes in the modes of rgb and cmyk colors, but the color when it hits Acrobat prints differently than the Word. It drives me crazy and I can't understand it.

  I do this often enough and export to Illustrator in .wmf format. I get the necessary transparent background, no problem of pixel, and the graphics are crisp. Clip art from Microsoft Office is about all .wmf formatted, so I thought that it would be compatibility problems and there is no. This is perhaps an approach that will work easily for you.

  Howdee new BearPup, yes I'm under W764 Bit version so I can run AfterEffects.
  The error message is as follows - "Adobe Illustrator - no response from plotter. Check if the plotter is in remote mode"- of course, it is always - I was on the site of Mimaki and downloaded... "Vector/raster driver version 2.2 s 0023v 22. exe (484KB))" and tried all possible ways to make it work - it just won't! So on Monday I'll ring Mimaki in NSW Oz 02-4272-3663 and I have a little chat - the next step, I'll probably send the plotter to them for a start and service - what can I do else?

  I have CS4 to work on Yosemite 10.10.5 by first reinstalling Illustrator and Photoshop.  Then, I looked for the PhtoshopExport.aip (or no matter what .aip gives you an error), and then I ran this file rather than Illustrator launched.  I was able to get the error message and check the box to not show this error again and am now able to use Illustrator no problem... until now.

  I use Illustrator CS4 - Windows and I am not able to scroll up and down with the mouse wheel, nor can I scroll sideways using the wheel of the mouse with the ctrl-SPACEBAR.  I'm looking for how to enable this feature in Illustrator, but am unable to find it.  Any suggestions?

  No, that kind of thing is hard coded and there is no way to impose anything. If your mouse does not behave like a bog standard Windows mouse, then HAVE failed to use all the fancy features. Vertical scrolling is supported in the world, however, horizontal scrolling simply cannot.

• Illustrator CS4 PSD files import problem

  I suddenly have trouble cleaning importing Illustrator CS4 files in Photoshop CS4.  I use these products for years and have done this hundreds of times without difficulty.  But all of a sudden, the resulting files are not smoothed.

  Illustrator files are saved with the PDF compatibility option checked.  I tried to place them (and by engaging - I know they're looking bad but clean after validation) and I tried to paste from Illustrator.  Not here are the relatively simple files with no font - text only - and no transparency or effects.  I also tried to save as EPS files, but without success.  I took to export PNG since Illustrator files and import that.

  I'm short on a recent Mac tower with a lot of everything.  OS x 10.6.7 and everything is up-to-date.  Adobe Creative Suite CS4.

  Could something has been corrupted?  Something might be interfering?  Is there a setting preference-"Import Illustrator files nicely" which must be marketed?

  When you place an EPS, PDF file or HAVE - there is an option in the options toolbar that says "smoothing". Make sure it's on.

  If you open a file in EPS, PDF or AI - there is a checkbox in the first dialog box that asks you the page number, resolution, etc. that says 'Anti-Aliasing (in the Page Options group). Make sure it's on.

• Creating distinct shadows in Illustrator CS4... what happened?

  It is of course available in CS3, directly in the dialog box. Now that my office has improved my machine to CS4, I do not find the option or perhaps not being able to recreate.

  Not sure if I look what end result you're looking for with SEPARATE shadows, but nothing has changed between CS3 & CS4 regarding the shadows that comes to mind. Try selecting stand with a drop shadow and choosing object > expand appearance. This will separate your subject from the shadow. You will now have a chart incorporated for shade, which is separated from your object.

  Before that, you can change your Effects > effects of rasterization Document settings at 300 dpi, so you get enough resolution

  Illustrator CS4 crop my work on export in png (cultures always on the right side). That happen every time, but often enough to be annoying. Sometimes my work in the centering work plan has solved the problem, but not always. Any idea why it's happening and what I can do to avoid this problem?

  This looks like another bug in CS4.

  In my old 10, I can create a no fill no marquee race, is dressing a work of art or all by itself and save it to the Web (like PNG or other) with the right size.

  What happens in CS4 if you come to do a fill without any rectangle of race and then save it to the Web?

  What has been the preparation of the Document in the older versions to set the page size is now integrated into the artboard tool. Double-click the work plan tool to access these settings.

• Illustrator CS4 in Snow Leopard issues

  I have a logo file that I created in Illustrator CS4 on an iMac under Snow Leopard, and it does not display some of the text layers on the registration for the web or as an Illustrator CS3 file or copy and paste in Photoshop CS4. Basically, text layers are standard using Adobe Garamond Pro (regular and italic) fonts and white text on black background. In the original file, the two lines of text look good but when I try to register using one of the other methods above I no longer see the 2nd line of text. So, indeed I can't create the JPEG or GIF that I need this logo. Anyone have any ideas?
