  There is one thing that I know that you need to check that COULD be your problem.  Open Control Panel (in Classic view) and click Folder Options (or, in Control Panel, click on appearance and personalization and then Folder Options).

  Open the view tab and make sure that "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is NOT checked.

  It would be good to hear from you as to whether that was the problem!

• Super slow when connecting

  I have windows 7 and my connection is super slow. All is well until what once I typed my password. It takes well over an hour for my icons on the desktop to appear, and I couldn't wait long enough to open the start menu.

  I'm sure that that my a problem related to Windows Explorer as all of a sudden, this problem started when Windows Explorer crashed and I had to reboot. Safe mode works quite well.

  Edit: the startup list with msconfig.exe in safemode made my working computer in normal mode.

  You can check the programs that start with Windows and turn off those unnecessary.

  1. start the Task Manager (press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC), go to the Startup tab, click right in the name column and in the menu shown tick 'Command line '. In the list, right-click on the programs you want to run at startup, and then click on disable.

  2. start msconfig.exe, Startup tab and disable unwanted programs.

  3. you can also look into the registry and delete the entries for the programs:

  Start-> regedit.exe

  Look under hkey_current_user\\software\\microsoft\\windows\\currentversion\\run

  and

  under

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

  and delete the entries you want.

  4. After doing the steps above & reboot, start the Task Manager and look in the performance tab how high the CPU activity remains in standby mode; If the CPU activity is high, you can look in the processes tab to find the process that is using the most CPU.

  I have not solved my problem, FYI. There was a part of the anthology that I thought I had deleted all the formatting, but I think that I had done it all but this story. It turns out that each section was originally written in Word or Scrivener or Pages or another and then placed in Microsoft Publisher, copied in Word and then sent to me. I removed the formatting at all, but missed one of the documents. Who was to play everything else up. Live and learn. Band first and ask questions later...

• How to get previews of lower quality when working with Full-HD?

  I work with Full-HD video, but I don't have to preview the files (rendering) to be too the 1920 x 1080. It takes a lot of disk space and a lot of time to make the preview files.

  Is it possible to ensure a lower quality? For example, resolution 720 x 405 would be sufficient.

• PE4 crashes when working with videos MP4

  Hello everyone - just got a new Samsung HMX20 camera - shoot in full HD and creates clips in MP4 format.  I did some tests on cam before shooting to about 111 clips today, for a total of about 30 minutes of video.

  The test worked great, looked CLEAR and fabulous.

  I started PE4 and captured all the clips very well.

  However, when I try to import more than about 10 clips in a new project of PE4, he takes (no warning or message) and goes to a blue screen, then restart my computer.

  System Specs: 1 month, HP Pavilion DV7, AMD Turion Dual Core 2.10 GHz 4.0 GB, 64-bit system, 184 GB free of 284.

  I have a backup drive I could use if necessary, but do not know if this can help - I thought it would be better to have everything on the C drive...  Although it is perhaps naïve of me.

  Any thoughts?  It is a client project, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated!  If you have any questions to help your understanding of the issue, feel free to ask.

  I used successfully the PE4 with my old Panasonic cam (not HD), and this question has never been so far, when you try to work with many clips.

  It's probably MP4 video format that gives you the questions, it is a variant of H.264 (MPEG-4. STROKE) that is similar but not identical to AVCHD. Infact I'm surprised that you can work with clips in PE4. Full HD AVCHD support was introduced in PE7... PE4 supports HDV MPEG2 format. Infact Adobe had to do some work to "optimize" the memory management to get the AVCHD to work.

  What project preset are you using? And you plan to export high definition or standard definition? Your best bet would be to convert to DV - AVI clips, if you plan to export SD or HDV MPEG2 if you plan to export as HD.

  After upgrading my machine to work at El Capitan, After Effects is very slow, it is barely usable more. I'm working on a particular project with a few TIFF sequences located on a file server. Of loading TIFF seems to take forever, each image hangs on 'recover the framework' for a while. Saving and loading of the project are also very slow.

  The problem is not the server or the network connection. Same project was pretty quick on 10.10. If I open the TIFF in the Finder, everything is normal. If I open the project in Windows, installed on the same machine, everything is normal.

  Anyone has the same problem, or even a solution to this?

  Hi all

  The solution for us here was to spend our smb share to afp via an OSX Server. Then using go > connect to server... (afp://yourserver.com/yourshare) to connect to the share. After that first and Effects now work as expected again. Sequences, ram, rendered image preview are all back at speed.

  If go back us to a smb share everything slows down again so that it points definitely there for us.

  We are on the last update of CC2015 (13.7.0.124)

  Such a relief to have all this working again. There seems to be a combination of SMBS and El Cap that we were on smb before the upgrade.

  Modern web pages are almost entirely HTML code with CSS for styles and JavaScript for functionality added as games & slideshows or interactive menus.  It does not seem possible for me that you have been creating web pages entirely with JavaScript.

• WRT150N wireless - download speed of connection is super slow when I move away from the router.

  I have a suggested internet high speed through Comcast, and my wired computer is get 6 download MBS. My wireless laptop is close when I'm a few feet from the router, but decreases significantly when I move out of the room - up to 200-300 KPS.

  I can't even watch a movie from netflix on the floor without stopping and buffering several times in a 1/2 hour show.

  Long-story-short: I expect too much on this Wireless N technology, or is there something wrong with my router, connection, configuration, etc. ?

  The strenth of signal on my laptop shows excellent quality for good, but the speed is terrible.

  Any suggestions / advice?

  It could be due to the wireless settings are on your router has its default value, which is the reason why you might be faced with the problem. I think you need to change some settings in your router...

  Connection to the router configuration page and then click on the tab below the Strip Radio Standard - 20 MHz and the Standard 11 - 2, 462 GHz channel change and wireless... Wireless SSID broadcast should be enabled and then click on save settings...

  Then click on the "Advance wireless settings" sub-tab and below change the tag to 75 interval, change the Fragmentation threshold to 2304, change the RTS threshold to 2304 and click on save settings...

  Now let's see if you can locate your wireless network and try to connect...

• Box pop up annoying when working with text

  I don't know what this new box, is that appears when I manipulate text... little white box with the capital letters and tiny in there...

  But I would like to know how to turn it off immediately.

  Poorly executed, it keeps popping up and gets stuck on when just trying to adjust the kerning and basic and other lines. Hideous.

  This looks like a new feature called Alternative glyphs. It makes it so much easier to find alternate characters for the selected character and you do not have to rummage in the glyphs Panel.

  

  That said, you can disable via preferences > Type > activate alternate glyph layer.

  Hi I have a little problem with the Track Motion function. Whenever I press the button 'Look forward', it starts monitoring, the eye in this case, but very very very slowly. I look at the various tutorials on youtube and all follow them pretty quickly. I am tracking 7 seconds of video, but it takes about an hour or two.

  Video: mp4. h.264 (Iphone 6 clip) of 1920 * 1080. However, I tried to restore to .avi or .wmw, but still too slow.

  Why is it so slow?

  Depends on your system and how you set up the tracker. A screenshot of your configuration of monitoring would be useful. A lot of noise, movements of camera, followed by the major areas, research areas, slow down all the follow-up.
