Hi all

I would ask you if

ATI Radeon 4670 256MB

AMD Radeon HD 6750 M 512 MB

are compatible to replace the

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS 512 MB

on

iMac 24 inch early 2008 A1225

Thank you!

  • IMac 24 beginning 2008 compatibility El Capitan

    Hello

Since I installed El Capitan on my 24 IMac early 2008, even though I have enough space and 2G of memory, computer stops responding and I have to restart twice or three times a day. I've already checked in an Apple Store and I know that my computer is OK.

    What should I do?

    Should I reinstall Yosemite?

IMac 24 beginning 2008 is clearly not compatible with El Capitan because I didn't hurt before you install it.

    Thanks for your help.

    Christel

The problem is more than likely that you have 2 GB of ram. The last OS X to run good in only 2 GB has been Snow Leopard. Your iMac can use up to 6 GB of ram and if you stay with El Cap, you will spend. If you are running any cleaning or the AV software that also negatively affect performance.

  • Satellite X 200 PSPBUA-00N007 graphics card replacement

    Hi guys,.

I get the BIOS beep codes saying there is a problem with the graphics card (1 long beep, 2 short beeps), but there are two graphics cards in my computer.

So my question is, is it possible to know that one needs to be replaced?
I can find two parts online, but obviously I don't want to have to buy both if one is defective.

I tried to start the computer with the two cards, a card and without graphics card and get the same beep every time code.

Does anyone know if the computer should start with just a single card?
Because who was telling me that this is the first map, it is the problem.

I have search the Forum before posting, but could not find someone asks this question in particular, only people ask questions about the upgrade, which is not what I'm trying to do - I found the correct parts for my computer, but you should know what to buy.

    Thanks in advance

    Ben

    > but there are two graphics cards in my computer.

I guess you mean the Dual NVIDIA GeForce 8600 M GT graphics card with SLI in NVIDIA technology.
I know the laptop was equipped with two nVidia Geforce 8600 M GT graphics chips. This has been possible due to SLI technology.
The name of the graphic chip code was NB8P-GS (SLi)

    > Does anyone know if the computer should start with just a single card?
I m not quite sure all this, but I guess that this is NOT possible because of the BIOS.
The X 200 BIOS has been configured and changed for the GPU and probably another GPU usage is not possible.

    > I found the correct parts for my computer, but you need to know what to buy.
I guess all the compatible part could be ordered in the Toshiba service in your country, but to be honest, I think that this could be expensive fix and probably a new computer laptop would be a better option.
But of course this is only my personal opinion.

  • Satellite A100-011 graphics card replacement

Recently, I've had graphics GeForce Go 7600 in my laptop Satellite A100-011 beloved suffer damage because of the known problem with mobile bumps thermals in copper on the series GeForce 7/8/9 of the graphics chips. :_| I work at HP and get us a large number of these problems too, hope that Nvidia burn for this. Map is now partially defective, 3D is completely busted, but at least 2D works for now.

I had almost the same problem a year and a half when the laptop comes out the guarantee and I brought to ideal electronics, it is the company that provides the service for Toshiba here in Athens, Greece.

They were very kind to this topic and allowed me to buy an additional warranty year whereas they might change my free graphics card. I took a snapshot of that card faulty chart, they replaced, here it is:
    http://img357.imageshack.us/i/12062008gq8.jpg/

However, when I went today at the same company for the second time after that the second card suffered the same fate as the first, I was not so lucky. This time there is a kid who tried to convince me that the graphics on this model cannot be changed without changing the whole motherboard.

I tried to explain to him that they have already changed graphics in my machine without changing the Board of Directors, but he was holding with arrogance its soil, then I turned and left, like changing the Council too would cost more that this laptop is worth.

The only option for me if I want to save this laptop is somehow, get the graphics card, and change myself. The problem is that Toshiba does not publicly list the parts reference numbers in their laptops, or if this is the case I of course was not able to find it. If someone could find the part number of the GeForce Go 7600 card in my laptop I would be very grateful, because I have to disassemble the laptop everything to check on a sticker on the card itself. Also, if you know some other card compatible with this laptop, I'd be happy to hear about it. In addition, if you know an online retailer who delivers the Toshiba laptop parts at the international level it would be a great help.

My product number is PSAARE-04800VGE. If I'm not able to change the graphics on this laptop, I use it as a web browsing machine until a graphics chip dies completely.

    Hello

To my knowledge, the graphics card is not replaceable. It s part of the motherboard and you need to replace the whole motherboard if the graphics card is dead.

Unfortunately, but in my opinion there is nothing to see.
You will need to change the whole mobo.

I have an HP Pavilion Elite m9361.uk, a old desktop pc, I intend to follow the family.  Unfortunately, the graphics card no longer works.  I'm looking to replace it with something similar or better if possible and just wondered what my options were.  I just want something I can slot without having to upgrade the other material if possible.  He was mainly used as a pc game (WOW) and will in the future.  The above link shows that it is the current specifications.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Hello

Consult this document publication.  Do you have room for a double wide graphics card? If there is a PCI-E card, installed in the location adjacent then can you move on?

Someone earlier posted a similar question and did not upgrade the power supply and, in addition, necessary in a single location graphic card. Hmmmm, I found a solution for this problem, but it was a challenge. You can search the forum and see if you can find the solution.

  • HP 15-af001nm: graphics card replacement

    Hello

I have "HP laptop 15 - af001nm (M9G59EA) 15.6', QC AMD A8-7410/4 GB/1 TB/R5 M330 2 GB" and I have problems with some video games. It has two graphics, an integrated and independent, right? Is it possible to replace the independent graphics card on this model?

This means that you have to change the entire motherboard. It will be a very costly affair and you don't have many options to upgrade to also. Consult the manual.

  • Intel hd graphics with ATI Radeon graphics card replacement

Hi, I use a computer hp laptop G62 b51SI with a processor intel hd graphics card. However, thinking about changing or supplementing with a graphics card ATI Radeon for gamiing increased performance. Is it possible to do?

    Hello:

It is not possible without having to replace the motherboard together.

There is no removable graphics 'cards' in your laptop.  The GPU is soldered to the motherboard.

You will need to find a mother supported listed in the service manual for your model is equipped with better graphics and then try to find out where you can purchase a because it is unlikely that HP has more of them.

  • My current graphics card replacement - new one is compatible with my pc?

    Hello

    1. product name and number:

HP Pavilion G5220sc desktop PC XS305EA

    2 operating systems installed:

    Windows 7 64 bit

I don't quite know what to do. I'm quite in the game World of Warcraft, PC and not liked it's optimal playing on the low graphics options. That's why I plan to replace my current card (NVIDIA GeForce 315) graph with the upgrade (Inno3D GeForce GTX 560 (1 GB))

    What should I do?

Your opinion on this would be highly appreciated.

According to the specifications of your computer, your system has a 300 Watt power supply. You need to upgrade your power supply for a 500 watt or greater unity. The Corsair CX500 and CX600 are highly recommended and preferred a forum. Additionally, you will need a blank space next to the PCIe x 16 location and you will need to check the length of the card fits into the space provided in your case. Once this is done, the GTX 560 should work perfectly in your system. For more information, please read Guide of Big_Dave of a discrete video card selection.

  • T60 2008 CM5 graphics card

Hello. I have an ATI Raedon Mobility x 1300 GC currently installed and I saw that this can have an ATI Mobility FireGL V5250. Which is the limit, or that I'd be able to go a bit further and put an ATI Mobility FireGL V5725 inside? Help would be very appreciated.

    Roku1234 wrote:

So, in short, 5250 is the Max, I'll be fine?

Edit: If so, how I would go to switch out them? (Sorry if this is in the wrong place or something. New and do not know what goes where.)

Yes, V5250 is the top dog.

You will need to find a motherboard for a late T60p which has a V5250 and replace your current card with her. Once more, the card is soldered and cannot be toggled on its own.

  • Dell XPS 8900 graphic card replacement.

I have a XPS8900 with a Dell supplied 750 card mounted TI.  I would like to replace it with a Board of Asus Strix 960 GTX.  It is longer than the existing card and I do not know if she will agree to ram slots and a few cards power for HD etc.

Has anyone with the type of card to an 8900 and physically fit on the mboard.

    Thank you

    Yes, it will fit.

Yes the stock PSU will work. Digging around for the PCI 6 Connector. I don't think that the 750ti uses an additional power cable.

Here is a link to a thread with a link to a thread for xps 8700 upgrades. The cases are the same for a 8700 and a 8900 and power supplies are also the same thing that I said.

You can also watch the recent GTX 1060, which is even better and uses less energy, but it's a little more money than the 960

  • Save or not? Replacement graphics card

    Hello guys,.

I was wondering if I had to back up my data on my imac when getting to the graphic card replaced because there are 5 green lines on the start screen. I found my exact problem else where on this community, but the thing is I'm unable to access the utility from time machine backup drive.

    Thank you

Yes, you should always back up before replacements of material, or send your computer to the service.

Utility of disc has nothing to do with Time Machine or backups, so I don't know what the problem is that you worry about. Please explain, or after a more detailed explanation.

  • How to upgrade the graphics card (gtx 770 or 980) on Mac Pro 3.1 (2008)?

    Hey,.

I am looking to update my graphics card on my Mac Pro 3.1 - I currently have a GTX 660ti but I was looking to upgrade to a GTX 770 or, if possible GTX980.

    I have a few questions (GTX 770):

    • Power required: I found a tutorial , but I'm still not sure if the GTX 770 will draw too much power from the PSU?  The TDU is 230w and there are a lot of online chat on do not go above 225w.  I also noticed that my mac pro 3.1 is about 980w - so I'm confused as to why the limit of 225w has been mentioned (something to do with the power being driven by pci slots?)
    • Wiring: The gtx 770 has 1 x 6 pin and 1 x 8-pin connectors.  What/how should I connect to these terminals?  The tutorial mentions buying a Y 2 x 6-pin connector.  Is anyone able to confirm this?
    • Experience: Are confirmed cases of the GTX 770 works on a mac pro 3.1?

Finally - I wonder about a 770GTX since I.  What is the best card (for games) that confirmed cases of work with the 2008 3.1 mac pro?

Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

The location PCle supplies 75 watts max. Each of the two connectors on the system board each supply 75 watts max.

So, you can get 225 watts which for me is pretty close to 230 watts.

Others have successfully used the 770

  • Faulty graphics card

Hello, I have a mid 2010 21.5 (MC508LL/A) imac that has a bad graphics card. I've had this confirmed by an authorized Apple repair shop. I got an estimate of $643,00 for the repair, which I can't do right now. I heard that you can connect a second monitor to the Mac if you want to run two monitors at the same time. My question is, if I can buy the correct cable to connect another monitor and use this monitor as my primary monitor until I can afford the repair, or the graphics card in the Mac should it be good to run the second monitor? I'm not very tech savvy, so I hope that this question seems not too ridiculous!

Thanks in advance for any input.

The graphics card must be in good shape to run an external display. Once you have the repair done, then you can connect an external monitor.
