Image and transparent pixels or transparent color

Is there a way to define a transparent color in the display of an image? Or JavaFx support transparency in images (GIF, PNG or TIFF), where the transparent color is defined in the image itself?

I don't think that you can specify a transparent color to an existing image, but JavaFX does not support transparent colors in PNG for example.

    Hello

    I have the following problem:

I have a Word document that contains a .jpg image.

For this image, the white background is defined as 'transparent color' (in Word).

After printing the Word using "Adobe pdf" document as printer, I want to add a background in Adobe Acrobat format.

However, the background is interrupted when the image is (rectangular).

This was not the case with a previous version of Acrobat!

    Could someone please help me?

    Thank you!

Do not use the Adobe PDF printer. Use the Acrobat feature added to Word, which is supposed to make additional levees needed to do this job. However, you may need to use a format that supports transparency as PNG.

  • Projection of images and the question of the color space

We are having a discussion in our photo club. We use a projector to project the images of the competition. For years, we used Faststone Viewer to project images. We have the usual problems of people not calibrate their monitors and sometimes the colors match does not, but it worked pretty well.  Now that the people who handle the projection are competent in LR, they use LR on a Windows laptop, to organize and display the images via the projector. The projector is a projector of sRGB VGA.  Some argue that LR will cause problems because it uses the Adobe RGB color space as the space of display colors. (We know that the native color space is ProPhoto). Others think it will display images in space sRGB color to the projector as you can when you export an image. I can't find anything in Adobe help pages on this subject.

Here is a contribution to the debate to give you an idea of what some people are talking about:

I understand that LR will send bits of images (in the Adobe RGB color space) to the Windows API and in turn the bits are returned on the LCD screen and exit VGA via LCD/VGA color profiles associated. That is my understanding of the viewer FastStone sends the image bits being without modification in the color space. LR sends the bits altered the Adobe RGB color space. Assuming that both programs require the same Windows API, the images must return the same, but they do not. My conclusion is that the former is in sRGB and the latter in Adobe RGB. I guess they call the same APIs because you can open a jpeg file in Windows Picture Viewer (applet in Win7) and see a different rendering of FastStone, it does not use the color managed API.

Anyone who can shed some light on this delicate subject?

You actually want an app like Lightroom or Bridge to view images on your projector and not the unmanaged faststone Viewer or something like. Lightroom translated correctly the image on the destination for the projector profile regardless of the original color of images space. It is best to calibrate them and profile projector in addition to your monitor. Some of the highest fine adjustment washers support projectors too. It is rare that these projectors really are sRGB. They are usually somewhat narrower. Some of the more recent are wider gamut when using LEDs or lasers instead of bulbs.

  • Indexed color and transparency png

I work with a software developer who reviews his subtitle rendering application to meet the specifications of my company. The rendering engine produces a sequence of images, and we agreed on the use of the PNG with transparent background as the format for the image sequence. The rendering engine produces PNGs in indexed color mode, Photoshop and Windows Photo Viewer recognize the background transparent, but Premiere Pro CS5.5 and CS6 don't. I can re - register one PNG after this passage in RGB mode in Photoshop, and then the Premiere Pro recognizes the transparency. I'm not surprised by this. What I'm surprised by, is that the software developer said that it can import the same PNGs, without going in RGB mode, in his copy of first Pro CS3, and first recognized transparency.

Is there something I can do in addition to batch processing in Photoshop to get the first Pro CS5.5 or 6 to recognize transparency in an indexed color PNG? If something has changed since CS3? I look under Edit > interpret footage to make sure my box to ignore the Alpha channel is not checked for the png, but I can't find another relevant definition to check, and I can't understand why CS3 would be able to recognize an indexed color PNG.

    PNG should be RGB.

CS3 was a long time ago...

However, you can import in color indexed with transparent GIFs.

  • How to save an image (logo) transparent so that it appears transparent on any background color such as a gradient or black?

How to save an image (logo) transparent so that it appears transparent on any background color such as a gradient or black?

I save the image under 'transparent' file > new... but when I place it on a background gradient it keeps appearing in white. I'm saving transparent to be effective on any color, such as a gradient or black.  How I really save as transparent?

As suggested by JJMack, make it transparent (or partially)...

Save it as a file in PNG format for a composite web browser with partial transparency.

  • Part of the erasure. JPG image and achieve transparency?

    Hi-

What's the trick more simple to do transparent white mirror, so I can place it on the background image?

    Thank you

    blob.png

If you really must do it entirely in Illustrator, you can either 1) hide the image using the Panel transparency; or (2) you can do it with a clipping mask.

To achieve this by using all the techniques, you will have to trace the contour of the mirror first and then black paint. Then:

    (1) position way to contour of the mirror above the image, make a rectangle that is larger than your image, select both and combine them (Ctrl/Cmd + 8). Then place the traces on the image, and in the Transparrency Panel, choose "Make mask". Don't forget to check the Panel "Clip" and "invert the mask.

    or

    (2) take the contours of the mirror and the rectangle, select them and choose Create a compound path (the mirror area should be gently from the image). From there, select path and image and group them. Then you can select the Group and, in the layers panel fly-out, click Create/cancel clipping mask.

There you have it. The two techiniques have ups and downs, give it a try.

    Kind regards

    2010-09-14 11-21-19.jpgThis is crazy...

Why? I really looked at each setting... and checked that I treated each image of the same... In fact, all the images are in the same DSP and therefore automatically save the same options.

    1. I need to use exactly this yellow color

    2. I need the transparency, because there isn't running in the background that will appear on the edges of external effects.

    3. I find no choice that says choose this color as alpha... which is likely to have solved the problem

Is this a bug? A function not developed to not fix the Alpha, or just me who can not understand the tool.

Please help me with a corect or the wrong way to fix this

    Hello

You open the image in an image editing application and control its end upward. The transparent color traditionally used in Captivate is based on the color of the pixel at coordinate 0,0 (top left corner). It would seem that this pixel is the same color as the face.

Usually a sure thing is to flood fill the area that you want to become transparent with a weird color like Fuchsia.

    See you soon... Rick

  • How to replace a specific color with transparent colors?

I need to get the image of a control, but I want to change the background color of the control with a transparent color (like the handly image editor).

I can't use the library IMAQ, so I would use the palette of the 2D image.

I can read the pixel of data image by pixer, but... once the color replace is located, how to replace them with transparent?

    Thank you all

It looks like you want the Mask.vi to 'create '. If this isn't the case, you can provide a code that indicates what type of situation, you do business with.

  • flattened draw without border and transparent background pixmap

    Dear members of the Forum,

I am completely new to LabVIEW and use especially for graphic animations.  I want to build a multimedia graphic where parts are dynamic (i.e. they change from red to green to indicate stopped execution of State respectively).  Some graphics that I found that is a tank with level controls and I intend to use these but I need to draw my own graphics and make them animated.  Most will be two binary States (i.e. red green) simple changes.

I found the 'Pixmap.vi flattened draw' and have used it to make a simple graphical change of two States (see attached vi).  The problem I have is that I don't want the border to be shown in the graphic image and I want to make the background transparent.  I've saved the file .jpg with transparent backgrounds but they come out with a white background.

Can anyone provide some simple explanations and advice please.

    Concerning

    Bunnykins,

Use the tool Palette. Go to the color tool. Click on the squares of color in the palette, and then assign the Foregraound and the background of transparent colors (white box with T top left when the color window is visible). Click the tool both on substance and on the border. Sometimes you may need to try several times on the border ge the exact position for the click.

Note that this makes it difficult to find the control, so make sure it's in the position you want and as you like before you make it transparent size.

  • How to set a transparent color?

I have a black and white linework (pdf plan of engineering) and I want to superimpose an aerial image and line it up so that show the black lines on the aerial map.  I can work with the transparencies of the layer, but what I prefer is to put white in the plan b & W at bottom transparent or transparent.  In the contrary case, it kind of gray on the antenna. Is there a way to just put a transparent color? I think I could do it before, but can't remember.

If I understand you all what you need to do is use the advanced properties of layer. Double click on the plan B & W layer and use the mixture if slider to get the white background. Here's a red square on a white background, by adjusting the sliders on the right that the white background is removed.

  • can images with transparency display edge art object - what I'm doing wrong, how it be fixed

    Hello

With the help of MUSE CC 2014

I need to place images photoshop text (with transparency) on a full screen slide show but I'm artifacts edge around the inscription which looks like, well frankly, horrible. I do not remember previous versions of MUSE is quite as bad as this, I'm doing something wrong? Is there a trick to overcome these ugly artifacts?

PSD images are either imported SS

Thank you very much in advance for any help.

    Hi Vikas

I was falling a pds on the scene file. No other layers as transparent image and bg. I was reducing the image down in the Muse that I discovered exaggerates the visibility of image edge objects. After a little reading, it appears that there is a known issue with Adobe Muse, something to do with the algorithms that muse use images nationwide. I also think that the color of the layer has contributed a bit to the effect also.

Problem solved when I gave up the way of the PSD and rather any SS as a PNG image.

  • How to convert transparent color?

Is it possible in items 9 to convert a color or range of colors 'transparent '?  I want to change the white background of an imported image (map) transparent while non-white objects (lines and shapes) are present.  The image is far too complex to select each field individually.

You can use the Magic Eraser tool to remove colorful background.  To do this:

    (1) open the image in the editor;

    (2) select the Magic Eraser and make the necessary selections in the Options especially bar make sure that the check box contiguous IS NOT checked.

    (3) click once on the bottom, and voila it's gone!

The Magic Eraser looks like this:

    I hope this helps.
