Impossible to transparent color TIFF in InDesign

InDesign suddenly stopped letting me background transparent color TIFF or Bitmaps.

I can the grey color TIFFs but they have origins and I need them transparent.

Another strange thing, it's things like color and color occurs when I make a PDF but I do not see it in my InDesign file work.

I need this resolved as soon as possible, if anyone has a solution I'd be real happy.

ADOBE. He meets. Every day there's a new glitch between Illustrator and InDesign. We pay way too much for these applications to have deal with this nonsense.

  • Image and transparent pixels or transparent color

Is there a way to define a transparent color in the display of an image? Or JavaFx support transparency in images (GIF, PNG or TIFF), where the transparent color is defined in the image itself?

I don't think that you can specify a transparent color to an existing image, but JavaFX does not support transparent colors in PNG for example.

It looks like you want the Mask.vi to 'create '. If this isn't the case, you can provide a code that indicates what type of situation, you do business with.

  • How to set a transparent color?

I have a black and white linework (pdf plan of engineering) and I want to superimpose an aerial image and line it up so that show the black lines on the aerial map.  I can work with the transparencies of the layer, but what I prefer is to put white in the plan b & W at bottom transparent or transparent.  In the contrary case, it kind of gray on the antenna. Is there a way to just put a transparent color? I think I could do it before, but can't remember.

If I understand you all what you need to do is use the advanced properties of layer. Double click on the plan B & W layer and use the mixture if slider to get the white background. Here's a red square on a white background, by adjusting the sliders on the right that the white background is removed.

  • Why CC color Adobe and Indesign CC not convert CMYK to RGB the same?

Recently, I used Adobe Color CC to create a color theme that will be used for print and the web.  I created the theme with the CMYK values approved in order to save the. ASE file will be imported other CC apps.  The corresponding RGB, Hex, Lab and TSL values are created automatically.  Of course, we use RGB and CMYK to print to the web

A colleague had separately created the same exact theme of CMYK in InDesign CC and exact by the same CMYK values RGB values I used in Adobe Color.

InDesign RGB values are quite different from the Adobe color values.

Anyone know why the values are not the same, and more importantly, what CMYK for conversion RGB values may be invoked for accuracy?

EDIT: I guess the real question should be, what are the parameters of management integrated into Adobe Color CC colors, and can they be duplicated in desktop applications Adobe CC?

    Thank you very much

    Chris,

Color Adobe does not support color (Web app, or iOS app) management.  InDesign, however, supports color management.  Thus, the difference you see is due to fact that the Id is the color management and the web application is not.

  • TIFF in InDesign

FYI - print a 300 DPI TIFF on InDesign out slightly pixelated and Tiff even turn off in the PDF format and place or print from directly from Acrobat Pro, won't the pixelation.

Disable optimized subsampling in your print dialog box...

as to why its optimization does not, well... it's usually a question associated print driver.

  • Colors synchronized but InDesign is not not to Photoshop files

I hope someone can help me please get my InDesign/Photoshop colors to match. I'm on Adobe CS5 and notice a big color change (especially with red highlights) on my computer from my Photoshop and InDesign files.

My colors are all in sync on North America General purpose 2 across the bridge, but the color in my Indesign files never fit my Photoshop files on my computer screen. (I honestly don't know how they compare in print.)  Match color profiles in Photoshop and InDesign, and I also tried to change my color on both profiles, but it does not solve the problem either.  I noticed my shades of Red/Pink/Purple seem to be a bit - a lot more than the other colors. Any ideas on how I can fix it for my colors match Photoshop to InDesign?  I really want to get the fixed number because when I produce a PDF file matches the InDesign InDesign PDF but I can't match the original Photoshop file.  If it helps, I am on Mac OS 10.5.8 and running Creative Suite 5 (InDesign CS5 Version Photoshop CS5 Version 12.0.4 7.0.4 x 64, Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro version 9.4.5 and Adobe Bridge CS5 Version 4.0.4.2).

Also, I should probably mention that I have 2 screens hung computer (a mac, a pc). When I compare the two files on the mac screen, colors (especially reds) are average power off. When I compare them to Dell and PC screen, the colors are offshore, but not almost as much. (However, the color of the monitor Dell generally isn't good... or true to print). I guess the Mac monitor product probably a greater range of color and which could be the reason for seeing a greater contrast in color on the monitor Mac vs Dell monitor but I'm not sure.

I have CS3 on another computer, and the match of colors from Photoshop to InDesign file on my computer with Adobe CS3, so I know that it is not a problem of file. I even took the screenshots of my color settings on my computer with CS3 and made my color settings on my computer with CS5 all the match, but again, the colors do not match.  I also tried to reset my preferences in InDesign, Photoshop, and Bridge, but it does not always!

I have attached a screenshot comparing the same file in Photoshop and InDesign on a Mac monitor. Anyone have any ideas? I use red a lot in the press so I would really fit!

    Picture 1.png

I don't think that it is an arrangement of the monitor, but rather something that you need to change in system preferences.

  • CP5 - white areas raw of W7 - yellow button transparency color.

Here are some buttons I made...

This is the setting in Photoshop for each registered button

    inPhotoshop.jpg

This is how the different buttons are displayed in "Preview in browser" (F12)

    green.jpgblue.jpgred.jpg

    These above are ok!

    2010-09-14 11-21-19.jpgThis is crazy...

Why? I really looked at each setting... and checked that I treated each image of the same... In fact, all the images are in the same DSP and therefore automatically save the same options.

    1. I need to use exactly this yellow color

    2. I need the transparency, because there isn't running in the background that will appear on the edges of external effects.

    3. I find no choice that says choose this color as alpha... which is likely to have solved the problem

Is this a bug? A function not developed to not fix the Alpha, or just me who can not understand the tool.

Please help me with a corect or the wrong way to fix this

Best regards / / Daniel Perez

    Hello

You open the image in an image editing application and control its end upward. The transparent color traditionally used in Captivate is based on the color of the pixel at coordinate 0,0 (top left corner). It would seem that this pixel is the same color as the face.

Usually a sure thing is to flood fill the area that you want to become transparent with a weird color like Fuchsia.

    See you soon... Rick

  • Select transparent color with pipette...

    Hello

I have a semi-transparent rectangle with some colorful behind her paths. I now want to choose the exact color I see: my mixed background translucent color. I tried the eyedropper (with or without SHIFT), but he always takes the fully opaque color of the rectangle transparent and no one (not even the mixture with the bottom one).
How can I choose transparent colors? What I need to do a print screen, paste the Clipboard to Photoshop and it take it?

    Thank you very much
    Konrad

Ok... I understand how it do haha Nevermind!

To get the exact color, I used the eyedropper tool to review colors and looked at the window COLOR GUIDE rather than just the colors window.

When you get the color you want to paint with it, be sure to mount the opacity because it will always be the defined percentage. Fact!

  • How to reverse the colors on an EPS file with a transparent background in Adobe InDesign CS6?

    Help!

I am fairly new to InDesign and pretty basic in terms of my knowledge, but surely it can be done right?...

I have a logo EPS black and white I want to be transparent and white to put on a different colored background? (I also have a JPEG version of the logo too if it makes a difference)?

You can't - it is better to open the EPS file in its native program (probably Illustrator) and make the changes there and save it as a white version.

    Check the "transparency" when registering.

  • Change the color of the placed transparent images (tiff, psd, png...)

    Hello.

I have a project with a lot of images placed. They must be transparent, because I need to produce a number of variants and quickly change the background and the color of these images. The images themselves have a unique color. I know that I could change their color in Photoshop and then place them in a group, but it would be much easier to just place a black version of them, arrange them, and then duplicate this group and change the color of the images. I can do this in Illustrator? I tried to use TIFF, png and PSD to get transparent images, but I only managed to change color in TIFF (for example) when they lacked transparency.

Can someone help me with this? Thank you!

You cannot colorize hair which is not flat, as you found it.

Save an extra image is your transparency in grayscale mask. Align, and select the images and the palette of tranaparency > Popacity make mask > check Invert mask if necessary as in my example.

  • Colorful TIFF appears different color when exporting to PDF

    Hello world

I'm having a problem with the Tiff feature in InDesign CC.

I have a series of print drawings that use the same structure: a TIFF color in the background and a Duotone above this one PSD file.
Most of these models work perfectly. However, for some reason any two of them show a radical change in the color of the background TIFF when I export them to PDF printing. Please note that this is not happening when you create a PDF "Interactive", or another type of file with "Print" PDF.

Here is my file in InDesign:
    Screen Shot 2016-08-30 at 12.45.56 PM.png

And here's what it becomes when you export to PDF:

    Screen Shot 2016-08-30 at 12.46.25 PM.png

Any idea what the problem might be? I checked the source files in Photoshop and I see no difference between these and other pages that export without any problem. But I could be missing something.
I tried to recreate the same design in a new file, but continues to be the same thing.

    Pointers welcome!

    Thank you very much!

You're showing couture artifact, but they would occur only if you flattened export, but then your export screenshot shows you do not flatten?

Try to export using the RGB version by default PDF/X-4 and display them in Acrobat.

  • Maintain transparency and "multiply" in InDesign when recording to the PSD of Corel GIR

    Hello

I'm new to InDesign, but not Adobe and want to ask questions about best practices for overlay images containing transparency.

My current project is a children's book that contains a background of the mask with the appearance of an old Victorian newspaper. (brown, tint etc.)

My overlays of copying this beautiful but I am struggling to place the artwork.

I want to do is create an artwork in Corel Painter (for his beautiful watercoloring), export to Photoshop and then place the PSD on the page in InDesign.

Export of painter translated the 'freeze' layer to "compete" in PS. Can I change this to multiply without problem.

When I take off the base layer in PSD (a graph of the temporary page of Brown) color water channels previously have a horrible white fringe.

When I place this file in InDesign, there seems to be no way to "multiply" layer on the beautiful Brown illustration work I have on the page and the horrible white fringe remains.

A I guess too? I thought that it would be common in any software from Adobe to apply the attributes of layers.

I understand that it is perhaps more a poor workflow problem than a 'fault' for InDesign, but I'm curious to know if anyone has a similar experience / advice.

    Thank you very much

    Mark

InDesign uses a different graphics engine and does not honor PSD blending modes. You can place the layers separately and set blend modes in InDesign, or add the copy in Photoshop and save them in PDF format.

  • By default "black" shows that 4 color black?  [InDesign CS3/Mac OS 10.6.8]

    Hello

I have a file returned by my printer, claiming that the black text is all together as 4-color black.

When I check the palette text color chart is ready to the default InDesign black (100 k).

However, when I view the separations Preview Panel that the text appears as a 4-color black.

If I copy and paste this text box into a new text document appears only as a black (under the separations preview).

If I copy and paste a block of text in 1 color black of a new document in the odd text document comes as 4-color black (under the separations preview).

I tried all the preferences of black color in InDesign. Have not found a solution here.

Am I missing one setting somewhere else?

    Something is damaged?

All the tips are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

The document contains transparency somewhere on the Page and the merger of transparency of Document Workspace is set to RGB.

Edition > merger of transparencies space > Document CMYK

I'm not surprised that your printer took to it.

  • Transparency issues: Tiff object on another object of Tiff

I have a CMYK tiff file a layer created in Photoshop, which is white letters on a transparent background (I created it from an indesign text that I framed rasterized in order to adapt the work of the police. The program shows this as a "(vecteur Smart objet CMJN/16)."

When I place the file in my indesign on project blue photography (as TIFF, with various shades of blue), everything looks perfect on screen.

When I use the export feature to create the PDF file, looks good on the screen.

When I print, the watch box, distorting the blue image behind it.

I'm not so much worried for my printer (HP Photosmart Plus), but I am concerned about sending my PDF files on a professional printer and having transparency problems. I read the other entries of the transparency forum, but none of the proposed solution works. Any suggestions?

Try to hit only 16 bits to 8 bits.
