Image editing problem in pdf format

Downloaded trial versions of Acrobat Pro XI and Photoshop Elements for Mac.  Attempted to change the image to PDF format by invoking Photoshop Elements via the "Edit Image" dialog box.  Acrobat called Photoshop Elements, but PE does not load the image.  No idea why?

This is not a problem with Acrobat.

Try these steps and let us know if it helps.

When you select open with, a file selection dialog box is displayed.

GoTo Adobe Photoshop elements 11 (or whatever version you have).

Click support files.

Select Adobe Photoshop elements Editor.

    Hi COIEngineer,

I installed and opened the BullPrint example and was able to reproduce the error you receive when I pointed to a file .vi directly, but was able to print successfully when pointed at an image file. Could possibly feel in a jpg file, print this file in pdf format, and then delete the original (if you do not want the original file).

This error is generated when the pdf printer is not sure how to handle printing of the specified file type.

  • PES 9 Image editing problem

I've recently upgraded to PSE 9 on my iMac using PSE 6 without any problems for a while.  PES 9 does everything well except cropping.  When I use the crop tool, and then select the green checkmark to complete harvest image 'disappears '.  When I say disappears I mean it shows like a size 0.04 x 0.04.  Any effort on how to resize back to something original has no effect.  Any suggestions on what I might hurt?  I've seen no mention of this on the Forums, so I guess this isn't a bug with PES 9... or is it?

The first thing you should try is clicking on the drop down to the left of the toolbar options menu and select Reset tool. If this does not work, it might be that the preferences file was damaged during the upgrade. You need to reset holding the Cmd, Opt, and shift when you start the editor of the Welcome screen.

  • Problem of image quality when you print the brochure in PDF format

    Hello!

I searched the whole web, trying to find a solution for my problem, but I couldn't find anything...

I created a vertical page A5 document in InDesign CS6, filled with high quality photos. Now, I want to print in a brochure (in PDF format) in order to save it and print it in a professional facility.

The problem is when I do this, the image quality turns out to be terrible...

I checked my print settings and I can not find something wrong...

Installation - A4 horizontally, and Graphics - Images - send data - is set to all.

Is there anything else I can / try? What can I do it wrong?

Here is a picture of my print settings:

    printsettings_ind.png

When I export the document normally in format PDF the image quality is fine, but it doesn't have the booklet layout I need, it exports all single A5 pages one after the other. If I try to print this pdf file as a booklet in Adobe Reader, the same thing happens to the images, they lose quality.

    Help, please!

    Thanks :))

Have you checked withthei 'professional establishment' as to what they want. Printers will not, in general, impose you the document. It's their job and they do it in a way that corresponds to the study and the equipment they use for printing.

That said, your problem with low quality images is probably the default PDF settings. Change them to something useful in Pringter in the Windows properties, or click the settings button in the print dialog box to access the driver from there and set them as you want. I'm sure that when the default installed PDF printer is 'standard' gives you the output of RGB 72 ppi.

  • Gray lines during the conversion of Word 2010 images in pdf format

With the new Acrobat X 1 version, I encountered a problem whenever I try to convert images on a Word 2010 document in PDF format.  While all the lines on the document are black, many lines including bubble-notes appear very light gray and hard to read.  I searched for months for a solution without a bit of luck, and I tried other computers with different versions to check that it was not only my machine.

Y at - it a specific setting I need to change during the conversion to keep the black lines black instead of this weird gray problem?  See below, for example.

Previously, the snapshot taken from Microsoft Word:

    Pre-conversion.PNG

After the conversion to. Document PDF format, from Acrobat XI:

    Post-conversion.PNG

Thank you for the answers.  I found the problem, it was just a simple menu option.

Under Edition > Preferences, I sailed on the Display tab Page and disabled "smoothed art" under the section of rendering.  It seems that solved the problem.

  • When I save a PowerPoint document to PDF format, the images become white boxes or have lines around them.

When I save a PowerPoint document to PDF format, the images become white boxes or have lines around them.  I was using Adobe 9 Pro, just upgraded to Adobe Pro XI and he always does.  I have other people to convert the same file in PDF format and it works fine so I know it isn't the Power Point file, there must be a setting in my Adobe.  Any suggestions?

    Hello

Could you please update on the operating system you are working on?

Is - this windows or Mac?

Also an update on the version of Ms Office installed on your system.

Do you feel it work with all the PDF' or a specific?

If you are using windows, try to repair Acrobat once and then see if that solves the problem.

Also, check the latest updates installed on your computer.

Launch Acrobat > navigate to help > check for updates.

Please, try the two steps and see if that fixes the problem.

  • Problems of conversion of a Web page in PDF format.

We have a user who is using "Adobe acrobat X Pro", and when it uses the function to convert website to PDF it captures any page, such as tables.  If another user connects and does the same thing, he seized the entire page without problem.  Is there maybe a permission that can be governing its access to capture the entire page?  I would be grateful for any suggestion.

Save a Web page does not work identical to print in PDF format.

Things like the images of background, CSS Styles and iFramed items (like tables) will not save, but they will BE printed.

  • Duotone image showing as B & W in PDF format

I work on a series of brochures, created 5 so far, each with a Duotone image. They would always be in color when you view the entire document in Acrobat.

Today, I work on the latest brochure, and somehow this Duotone watch black and white image in Acrobat. No idea why?

I knitted a jpeg converted into levels of gray, then two tone with a CMYK value (100-75-10-0) and white. It looks like everything worked well before. I've attached a picture that shows the previous brochure in PDF format and to the left, the current issue.

    Thanks for any advice.image.jpg

Have you checked in the Acrobat ink Manager that its actually to see your custom channels / dishes? If this is not the case, this could be the problem and you need to know why your custom color is lost...

  • Can (CS5) export to PDF format and compress Images?

Using CS5, I have a 'book' with 12 chapters and a total of about 800 color images. The goal is to export it to a PDF file that is shown on the screens, not sent to a printer.

When I export to PDF format, the file size is huge: about 240 MB.

I want this file to be much - a lot! -smaller size (in MB).

I have all images with different resolutions - from 72 dpi to 220 dpi - and I do not have the higher resolutions.

What is the best way to approach this problem? ...

--Are there a way to set Indesign to compress images when exporting?

    - Or if Photoshop can be used to 'batch' compress images at 72 dpi?

    - Or is there another method that I can't even imagine.

    Thank you very much!

    Zorba

Look in the export PDF dialog box. In the "Compression" Panel, you can set a maximum allowed DPI - any image of a value greater than the value "above" will be sous-échantillonnées to the value "to".

It works only on bitmap images. If you placed the vector images big, there is no way to automatically decrease their size.

I am trying to record a brochure in PDF format.

Essentially, when I export to PDF, these weird lines appear on the PDF document (shown in green on the top).

However 100% in Photoshop, they are not visible (2 pictures below).

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem / what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks a lot guys!

Well, you have used transparency and belnding modes and such things must be correctly flattened in order to maintain its appearance and/or requires treatment appropriate overprinting in Acrobat. Merge layers manually, check the flattening settings in the PDF export presets and / or use the printing processing tools in Acrobat to rectify the issue and check what it will actually look like when printed.
