Problems saving in PDF format

What is this?.png

I am trying to record a brochure in PDF format.

Essentially, when I export to PDF, these weird lines appear on the PDF document (shown in green on the top).

However 100% in Photoshop, they are not visible (2 pictures below).

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem / what am I doing wrong?

Thanks a lot guys!

Well, you have used transparency and belnding modes and such things must be correctly flattened in order to maintain its appearance and/or requires treatment appropriate overprinting in Acrobat. Merge layers manually, check the flattening settings in the PDF export presets and / or use the printing processing tools in Acrobat to rectify the issue and check what it will actually look like when printed.

  • having problems viewing report it is saved in pdf format.

I developed a report using Report Builder 2.0 and uploaded to the SSRS.   When I run the report and view the results in an interactive way, it looks perfect.  However, when I export to PDF, some lines are removed from the PDF copy.

The lines in question are the ones I put 'visibility of the line' the expression-based, but even once, they appear as expected in interactive mode.  And they appear also as expected if I export to Word instead of PDF.

I also tried to run the report from my server (rather than Reporting SERVICES), and when I export to PDF, the lines appear as expected.

This makes me believe the question can be reduced to the combination of SSRS and PDF, but I don't know what else to try.  Is there anything else I need to check?

    Hello

The question you have posted is linked to the PDF file format, and it is better suited to the Adobe forum. Post your query on the next forum to get help:

  • Spacing of the font goes haywire when Word document is saved in PDF format

    Hi all

I only noticed recently. When I save a Word document as a PDF, it seems the spacing of the police of some words change a little. I'm sure that's not for lack of Word. The spacing is fine in Word. Also, I stripped the police formatting in Word and tried again, but the problem persists.

I uploaded a screenshot here - http://www.box.net/shared/oncje9l3bzsgq7j2ky8b. (When I try to download on the Adobe Forums, download expires).

On the left is the text in Word 2010. The line is the product PDF file.

Spacing for "respect" and "no surprises" has of course changed.

    Any ideas what's happening?

    See you soon,.

Try to replace the press or the print job settings before creating the PDF file. Task parameters are available in the properties of the printer for printing and in the PDF Maker preferences for the other. Save it as a PDF is probably just the PDF Maker from the save shortcut menu and must create an identical result. Alternatively, you can try to compare the WORD of MS plugin for creating PDF files. The latter has some problems, but it is still a useful tool for comparison.

  • I am trying to print a picture 5 x 7 that have been saved in PDF format, the print dialog box will only print it as an 8 x 10, any thoughts?

So I guess that was supposed to be the subject line!  I would like to print a picture on paper photo 5 x 7, I did it in the past, but now I don't see an option to change the size of the paper.  I would greatly appreciate any comments.  Thank you

    Hi Sunshine58,

Have you tried to click on the Page Setup button at the bottom left of the print dialog box? Who will show you the print options that provides the operating system, and you should be able to choose the page size of 5 x 7.

    Hi @GTR3,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I see that you are unable to print the PDF scanned documents with your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help.

You are able to print any other format PDF on the Mac, or the question is just limited to your scanned PDF files? Whether the soft friendly PDF work with - Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader?

In the meantime, I recommend you try the following steps:

    • Uninstall your printer - click here for instructions.
    • Fix permissions of the disc on your Mac - click here for instructions.
    • Once you have finished running the utility above, restart your computer.
    • Finally, click here to reinstall your printer.

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post. If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to give me a virtual h.o.t. by clicking the "Thumbs Up" icon below and by clicking to accept this solution.

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Have a great day!

  • Overprint fill changes at check-in PDF format?

    Hello

Hoping that someone could help me understand how I can maintain the appearance of overprint, I asked a few elements of a document. When I save it as a PDF for the customer, overprinting essentially loses his appearance - as if I didn't even "overprint" applied in the document.

Any ideas on how I can do overprint fill labour saving in PDF format?

    Thank you kindly,

    Chemol

They want to know what you could have done the text o, such that given a shadow etc.

things like that you use process color or spot color.

my thought is that you may be using color and it really isn't a such thing as overprinting process color in a normal job in four colors.

So what you'd multiply but then who should show.

If you have the text defined for a recovery, then you should turn on overprint preview to see what it will actually look like.

But what about explaining a problem it may seem pretty thorough for you, but we are not in front of your computer and it is very difficult to understand what you see in front of you if you don't tell us all the steps you have taken to create the art before you set to overprint and what it is superimposed on.

For example, spot color on tones re they have the same color? If there is no effect you can see what we are getting?

Tell us what you are doing these two other contributors a = re very knowledgeable and can help you, but they need your help first.

  • < b > and < /b > xml tags displayed in pdf format

    Hi Experts,

    I use 10.1.3.3.2

I shows the fillter view as well as the report on the dashboard. When I generate the PDF (printable version-> PDF) for it, the dates between filter condition shows the < b > and < /b > tags around 'and' instead of show "and" in bold.

    That is to say, it appears under the form-due Date is between * 07/01/2010 * < b > and < /b > * 31/07/2010 *.

    Whereas it should be-
    Due date is between * 07/01/2010 and 31/07/2010 *.

In html view, it is correct. The problem is in pdf format.

    Someone at - it a solution to remove the < b > < /b > tags and?

... If you want to keep the operand ' between the ', another option is to click on Advanced Options > convert the SQL filter in the filter to create/edit window. This will also get rid of HTML tags...

  • Problem saving to the PDF/A format

    Hello

I have problems saving my. PDF to PDF/A. My thesis deadline is in a few days, so quick help is appreciated.

I use Mac Acrobat version 10.1.0

When I export, I get this message:

When I run the preflight, I get the following errors:

    Screen Shot 2015-04-09 at 3.50.15 PM.png

The document has been exported from word to PDF, then edited in acrobat. It has been necessary to adapt the page numbering, since the word is impossible to work with.

    Please help, thanks!

I had the same probems and solved it like this:

    • Option 1: Install the latest version of acrobat pro DC (that much improves the conversion of PDF/A-1). There is a trial version if you want to try first...
    • Possibility 2: If you're stuck with Acrobat X, try the following
      1. to export the file to Word using the 'Adobe PDF' printer and set the stanard to PDF/A-1b. This will provide you with a file conform to PDF/A-1.
      2. Make your changes in Acrobat (page numbering etc.)
      3. Use the preflight (convert to PDF/A-1) or you can try the File\Save as\PDF-A

The two have worked for me...

  • Problem with a PDF file that is saved in CC2015

    Hello

I have this workflow with a client:

I create a few files in Illustrator

Save them in PDF format (because these are usually directly to a printer, but guard Illustrator editing capabilities just in case)

In case there are changes necessary, the client makes them to their end.

    Save again.

    Send to the printer.

It used to work very well while we both had installed CC2014 (v, 18), but since I upgraded to CC2015 (and the customer is always with CC2014) PDF files not open properly... the dialog prompt as if they would not editable Illustrator files.

I tried to save in a previous PDF version and did not work

When I try to save as a different version of Illustrator that it seems that it is the same for all CC (from v17), in fact, if I save as Illustrator customer can open it correctly.

There seems to be something that affect PDF files only.

So... what I have to do is to save the files to PDF using CC2015 and to ensure that they can edit them using CC2014, no idea of what could be the problem?

    Thank you!

With this type of workflow you absolutely need both work in the same version. Illustrator files are not backward compatible.

When recording in PDF with Illustrator editing capabilities in fact two files are saved under one: the PDF part and GOT it. The version of the part will always be the version that you are working in. So not backward compatible.

Please look at this on the functioning of the files:
