Image map in html email-text color

I use image maps in html email newsletter and using the tag alt on some images to give a brief description about what the content of the newsletter covers.

The question I have is that the text is in blue color. Can I control this and make it black? I tried a few ideas, but the text remains stubbornly blue... grrr!

Thank you

It's not worth osgood.  If you really need a text description, type out.  There are too many e-mail clients that make correct tags alt like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.  Just take a look at this Campaign Monitor done research: http://www.campaignmonitor.com/resources/entry/676/how-do-alt-attributes-appear-in-email/ .  But if you really want to change the color of the text on the image alt:

I did not in a while so I don't know the specifics of browsers who honor this more.

  • Session state in a Hotspot URL on an Image Map

    Greetings,

I have an APEX application that has the image maps on several pages. The image plane is created dynamically by the admin application. Later in the process of the image map (created from HTML) stored in the rows of a table will be used by someone else at a later time. They will click on a hotspot/article in terms of the image, which will open a page in the application and pass the id of the image and the hotspot/section title. Then they can fill out information about the hotspot/section on what they clicked. I have all this works very well except for the session.

The problem is that I filled in the href of the hotspot portion < area shape / > when the image is initially created. I store the first part of the URL in a table, in case it changes. The first part is http://server:8000/apex/f? p = 2031:10: & APP_SESSION.:NO:10: then I add this when the image plane is created - P10_HEADER_ID, P10_CELL_TITLE:v_header_id, v_cell_title so, when you move the pointer over one of the hotspots is an example of the URL passed - http://server:8000/apex/f? p = 2031:10: & APP_SESSION.:NO:10:P10_HEADER_ID, P10_CELL_TITLE:344, 20-10 the session is not met. Now that it's happened I think it is the right treatment of the APEX. To determine the session 'on the fly', it is not passed between the user clicking on the access and processing of the URL. Or have I missed something due to a mistake in my thinking?

I'm puzzled. I can't fill the session when I build the data row, because it will not be later. But I can't change the session in href of the hotspot.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome. I hope that I am right on what is obvious.

    Thank you, Tony

I am familiar with relative path for the first part of the URL. I may be able to use it. We store the server part of the URL in a table of keywords, because we had cases where our names servers etc change.

You must use relative URLS. Storage of the absolute URL is inappropriate. Relative addressing, functionowa_util.get_cgi_env , alias page/app and substitution strings offer a lot more flexibility.

I know on APP_ID and others, but at this point, I'm not sure the app # or page # will be for the final use image maps. I know that the image maps will be created on a single page, then used on another page or pages.

Looks like a clear case of use for the use of the app/page aliases. However, there is no need to break the dependency of the channel using an alias of the page and then reintroduce immediately by setting the values of page explicit as P10_CELL_TITLE: it would be more appropriate to use the elements of the request for these settings instead of the settings of the page

Yes, I have a procedure that builds the image maps. I have 2 types of image maps. One is a map of convention image with rectangles and polygons. The other card image has a grid on top of it with the columns, lines, value of medallion of beginning and end in medallion, which allows the administrator to build the grid exactly as they wish. It also has a function that allows the elimination of specific cells. It's all pretty smooth. And, once again, your answers through this process has helped me get to where I am with the application. The problem is that these interactive images will be used in the dozens, and sometimes hundreds of times more inspections are carried out on the Assembly line. There will be models of image map that will be used later on the actual inspections when the product is manufactured. The image of the cards will be different according to the production plant and the product, it is used on. A station can be for the inspection of the engines, another for finishing, etc. A series of picture cards for one product, others for the B - M products.

Thus, image maps are created during the initial phase of the process. Then used later, over and over again, during the production process. Create map image pages are 4 & 8. The pages used during the inspection of the product is likely to be pages 10 & 12. And the creation of image map occurs at a point in time by the admin. The use of image maps will produce a dozen different inspectors throughout the year. So, no doubt under different sessions.

Now I think I might need to build a new block of HTML code for each inspection. The HTML code that builds the image of the cards, that is. This way I can insert the sesstion ID into the href attribute in a procedure, and it will be that of the current session. I not only create the href and fill the value of session on the fly, I'll create all the HTML block on the fly.

I certainly wouldn't store or s absolute hrefas a URL or image maps in HTML format. Should all be generated depending on the rendering of the page through a report/view/procedure/function. In the PL/SQL code, get the session ID by using the v('APP_SESSION') reference. In a report, view/use values of application context for better performance. Push necessary substitution strings in the context values using the APEX Session/DPV database security attribute.

Image maps don't change color to the overview.  You need JavaScript for this.

There is no method to convert a HTML BodyParty in plain text.  However, if the e-mail message contains plain text and HTML formats, there will be at least 2 parts of the body of the message.  One will be in HTML, the other plain text format.  The example in the KB in the first post shows how to work with both.

It is possible that only a part of the body was delivered to the BlackBerry handheld.  In this case, you can use the Transport.more method to request that a body part will be downloaded.

Maybe, but not the incorporation in the email.  All peoples kind here do is to explicitly link the images directly from the server.  for example, if I want to connect an Adobe image on my Web page or email, then I would use an explicti path such as:

    https://wwwimages2.Adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/images/shared/product-totems/80x80/Totem-AX I-pro - 80 x 80 .png .adimg .mw. 80.png>

In this way, I can move the page or even e-mail, but the image will still be there.  However, you must download the image on the server before creating the link otherwise it would be a futile exercise.  In addition, some people have disabled images in messages, but this isn't your problem.

Now this is how I do but a few muppets will tell you to do something funny.  What works with you.

If the image is at the beginning of the subject, or all alone in a reference topic, you can put "#" (without the quotes) as the link for each area reactive.

If the image is larger than the viewing window, it can jump to the top, but only if the user clicks on the link.

I tried wz_tooltips and like it. I agree with Leon, it will take time for the first image but maybe go faster later.

  • How send the beautiful html email I did I DW?

    Hello

I designed a reagent html email in Dreamweaver and tested in different browsers, iPhone, iPad etc. It looks great and I'm happy. But now I want to send it but can't! OM my mac I open the e-mail-html-page in Safari and select "send as e-mail". It opens the html email in a new email, and everything is on a line to the left. It looks like this:

    "

    T

    h

    I have

    s

    I have

    s

    m

    There

    t

    e

    x

    t

    ..."

I have on my PC, in Outlook, create a new mail and import html pages and here everything is also to the left (but not all of the letters as on my mac". It looks NOT like when I tested it in different browsers.

I also tried to send the sensitive default html email template in Dreamweaver (without changing anything in it), but it also lined up left by the post.

So, now, when I created an email reagent butiful in dreamweaver. How to send?

    Thank y

Make an HTML email is not the same as doing a Web page. Remove or ignore certain code (like most many email clientsthe elements and embedded CSS). You may have created a nice page that works correctly across the browser, but will never properly work at several mail clients. It depends on your code.

Some things that can help you...

    1. use provisions of base tables. I know, it sounds bad, but put in simple nested table based much more systematically appear cross-client in html emails
    2. use simple inline css if you cannot use an html attribute to do the same. Nothing should be in theof the page, it gets deleted by several email clients. A lot of css attributes does not work, so if there is an equivalent html element, we it rather
    3. a lot of text html, few images. Most e-mail clients are set to block images by default. If your email is image heavy, you can not reach everyone with something other than a message "for security reasons, the images were downloaded not."
    4. do not send yourself if you have a large list, you will get your email blacklisted as a spammer. Use an email like constantcontact.com and icontact.com service if you have a list of more than maybe 100-200 addresses

There are other items that need to be addressed, but who are the biggest. Electronic messaging services have you can use models that have been tested and refined for better results across a broad band of email clients. Until you have the 'tutorials' of html emails down, it may be preferable to use the available templates prior to the layout yourself.

Jesus, this stuff is so fickle is not it!

It turns out that the '\r' was originally a line break and be misinterpreted by smartphone browsers:

    $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0 '. '\r\n';"

    $headers. = "content-type: text/html;" charset = iso-8859-1 "."\r\n";"

    It worked:

    $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0 '." "\n";

    $headers. = "content-type: text/html;" charset = iso-8859-1 "." "\n";

As you have discovered, export as HTML from a PSD is relatively easy. However, to properly format HTML e-mail requires forward thinking for how the text will appear and where - and how much of it will be text. There are many discussions about this topic on the Forum of Dreamweaver that will help you with the side HTML things, but according to the way in which the design is, you may need to re-examine its structure and presentation.

    This might help you: http://www.sitepoint.com/turn-your-psd-into-a-solid-html-email/

Try running a search for "HTML E-mail" on the side of Dreamweaver and see if this helps you.
