Text of HTML email

There is a built-in, direct way to retrieve the text of an HTML email in plain text?

I read http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800332/800698/How_To _... but I still get the new String ((byte[]) obj) cast, which is the equivalent raw text of the complete HTML code.

A quick thought would be thrown the Message to a text message and call msg.getPayloadText (), but this seems to be more of a hack than an effective approach.

Any help would be really appreciated on this.

Thank you!

I want it is: when the body part bp is part of the html body, I want to get it as a text (on the device, this can be done by selecting the item of menu "get Plain Text" in a display of html email). Since the post on this topic by Mark Sohm, I understand that it is possible to do it somehow.

There is no method to convert a HTML BodyParty in plain text.  However, if the e-mail message contains plain text and HTML formats, there will be at least 2 parts of the body of the message.  One will be in HTML, the other plain text format.  The example in the KB in the first post shows how to work with both.

It is possible that only a part of the body was delivered to the BlackBerry handheld.  In this case, you can use the Transport.more method to request that a body part will be downloaded.

  • HTML emails are not displayed. They show just the code. texts emails are not at all. That is what it is?

    All of a sudden today my email is displayed correctly. HTML emails simply display the actual html code instead of a graphical display. Texts emails show just a blank page. I changed the display setting to view html messages original, simple html and plain text. None of the settings resets things. All of these emails were visible correctly yesterday.

    Anyone got any ideas as to what is happening?

    It's not worth osgood.  If you really need a text description, type out.  There are too many e-mail clients that make correct tags alt like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.  Just take a look at this Campaign Monitor done research: http://www.campaignmonitor.com/resources/entry/676/how-do-alt-attributes-appear-in-email/ .  But if you really want to change the color of the text on the image alt:

    I did not in a while so I don't know the specifics of browsers who honor this more.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones HTML EMAIL?

    Just updated to the new 4.5 on my T - Mobile UK Curve 8310 that I learned from this site and a sales representative blackberry that allows HTML e-mail messages.

    So when I get the newsletter of the Web sites it will show images and text formatting instead of junk and links at random.

    They do receive and display the HTML code.

  • How send the beautiful html email I did I DW?

    Hello

    I designed a reagent html email in Dreamweaver and tested in different browsers, iPhone, iPad etc. It looks great and I'm happy. But now I want to send it but can't! OM my mac I open the e-mail-html-page in Safari and select "send as e-mail". It opens the html email in a new email, and everything is on a line to the left. It looks like this:

    "

    T

    h

    I have

    s

    I have

    s

    m

    There

    t

    e

    x

    t

    ..."

    I have on my PC, in Outlook, create a new mail and import html pages and here everything is also to the left (but not all of the letters as on my mac". It looks NOT like when I tested it in different browsers.

    I also tried to send the sensitive default html email template in Dreamweaver (without changing anything in it), but it also lined up left by the post.

    So, now, when I created an email reagent butiful in dreamweaver. How to send?

    Thank y

    Make an HTML email is not the same as doing a Web page. Remove or ignore certain code (like most many email clientsthe elements and embedded CSS). You may have created a nice page that works correctly across the browser, but will never properly work at several mail clients. It depends on your code.

    Some things that can help you...

    1. use provisions of base tables. I know, it sounds bad, but put in simple nested table based much more systematically appear cross-client in html emails
    2. use simple inline css if you cannot use an html attribute to do the same. Nothing should be in theof the page, it gets deleted by several email clients. A lot of css attributes does not work, so if there is an equivalent html element, we it rather
    3. a lot of text html, few images. Most e-mail clients are set to block images by default. If your email is image heavy, you can not reach everyone with something other than a message "for security reasons, the images were downloaded not."
    4. do not send yourself if you have a large list, you will get your email blacklisted as a spammer. Use an email like constantcontact.com and icontact.com service if you have a list of more than maybe 100-200 addresses

    There are other items that need to be addressed, but who are the biggest. Electronic messaging services have you can use models that have been tested and refined for better results across a broad band of email clients. Until you have the 'tutorials' of html emails down, it may be preferable to use the available templates prior to the layout yourself.

  • HTML email on smartphone

    Before I do hunting through Google, anyone know why an html email sent through a php script can be seen in the HTML on smartphone browser?

    Desktop browsers shows as expected email.

    Maybe it has something to do with the type of content, although I also tried charset="UTF-8" ?

    $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0 '. '\r\n';"

    $headers. = "content-type: text/html;" charset = iso-8859-1 "."\r\n";"

    Also comes across as being sent 1 Jan 1970' on Smartphone browser... .hummmmm

    See you soon

    It's the simple php script/html test:

    <? PHP

    $headers. = ' from: '. [email protected] "; "

    mail ($ $subject, $message, $headers);

    echo ' email sent to: $to ";

    ? >

    Jesus, this stuff is so fickle is not it!

    It turns out that the '\r' was originally a line break and be misinterpreted by smartphone browsers:

    $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0 '. '\r\n';"

    $headers. = "content-type: text/html;" charset = iso-8859-1 "."\r\n";"

    It worked:

    $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0 '." "\n";

    $headers. = "content-type: text/html;" charset = iso-8859-1 "." "\n";

  • Generate the HTML Emails using UTL_MAIL instead of UTL_SMTP

    Hi all

    We use a server Oracle 11 GR 2.

    I want to know if we can produce HTML emails using UTL_MAIL instead of UTL_SMTP package.

    I searched the Internet but found most of the research showing the UTL_SMTP package.

    So here the expert opinion on this before proceeding with the UTL_SMTP package.

    Thank you
    Madhu K.

    Maldini says:

    I want to know if we can produce HTML emails using UTL_MAIL instead of UTL_SMTP package.

    Yes. "You set the Mime_Type setting" + text / html + ' and the value of the parameter to the HTML email Message .

    I searched the Internet but found most of the research showing the UTL_SMTP package.

    UTL_SMTP is an interface for the use of the SMTP application protocol. She in turn runs on the package UTL_TCP which provide an interface to communicate using the TCP network protocol.

    UTL_MAIL working above UTL_SMTP. It provides a simple interface to sending an e-mail without the caller having to deal with the actual construction of the e-mail itself. Binary attachments should be coded. MIME limits must be defined and Mime header created. Etc.

    UTL_MAIL does most to build an e-mail and then deliver using UTL_SMTP. But he did a job very basic and a bit primitive. This means that if you want complex structures of e-mail, you must create that yourself and then use UTL_SMTP of to deliver.

    Note that UTL_SMTP is the e-mail delivery truck. He does not care and does not know what the cargo contains it delivers. If it is an HTML email with 20 attachments, or just a plain text email or an invitation to a meeting to recognized and on demand by the customer mail reader receives. Construction of an e-mail is processed through the form of MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions). It has NOTHING to do with the SMTP application protocol.

    UTL_MAIL is an implementation of skeleton Mime. You need more than that - look somewhere else (3rd party) or write your own code. UTL_SMTP is irrelevant somehow when it comes to build emails.

  • Need a good tutorial of the PSD to HTML Email

    I'm looking for a good tutorial to convert PSD to HTML emails files. I know that steps such basic that decide the document, how to optimize images, save as an HTML file and the images, but after that it becomes blurry. I am struggling with how to have blocks of text in photoshop appear as text rather than an image in the HTML code.

    I searched on Lynda.com, YouTube and quite a few other sources but can't seem to find anything that goes on in depth. I am a novice when it comes to HTML (try to increase my knowledge daily) so please provide the answers as dazed down as possible.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    As you have discovered, export as HTML from a PSD is relatively easy. However, to properly format HTML e-mail requires forward thinking for how the text will appear and where - and how much of it will be text. There are many discussions about this topic on the Forum of Dreamweaver that will help you with the side HTML things, but according to the way in which the design is, you may need to re-examine its structure and presentation.

    This might help you: http://www.sitepoint.com/turn-your-psd-into-a-solid-html-email/

    Try running a search for "HTML E-mail" on the side of Dreamweaver and see if this helps you.

  • style inline for html email

    help with style inline to an html email?

    I'm trying to get the text linking to seem low, as it is in a footer. As he is in default of big enough text and seems sloppy when I spotted or send email. Of course, in DW and browser web, he appears as expected.

    Is it still correct to apply the color and the font size? Don't seem to have an effect. Note: this is in confines of a table:

    " < td width ="190"align ="left"valign ="middle"font-size ="10px"color ="1C3F94"> < a href =" http://www.LinkedIn.com "target ="_blank"> follow us on LinkedIn < /a > < table > "

    Thank you!

    Change as below:

    http://www.LinkedIn.com"target ="_blank"> follow us on LinkedIn"

    If you want to get rid of an underline add - text-decoration: none;

    http://www.LinkedIn.com"target ="_blank"> follow us on LinkedIn"

  • HTML Email Automation

    What I want to do is to send HTML emails, Automated Workflows. From what I see, only plain text is supported (which seems pretty stupid to me). We have EMOD but I don't see any way to send email of workflow in CRMOD in any of the documents (this is what I initially thought EMOD was for).

    Does anyone know how to do this? Or maybe a solution of third parties that we can use? If necessary, I can develop a web service to handle this, but I'm a bit limited on time.

    Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Jason

    The only possible way to do based on workflow would be to create a workflow creates an element in the integration queue events for which a webservices application you have enter the system and create a messaging to send through a third-party application features... How this is another story.
