Images are pasted as text embedded in a block of text.

Whenever I paste an image I copied with ctrl + c from another software, its pasted into indesign as an object embedded within a block of text.

What should I do to have all the images pasted with ctrl + v always be stuck like a graphic block?

PS: I have no style object created or assigned to what it is.

A roundabout method would be to save the Word document in PDF format, then copy the PDF file and paste into FrameMaker with nothing selected. You will probably have to develop a method to resize the image firat. If all images must be resizing the same amount, you may be able to use the options under object > transform or object > transform again on multiple selections.

HTH

Kind regards

Peter

  • Icons and images are distorted. Only happens in firefox. The reset does not help.

    Hey there,

    So today when I opened Firefox, this is what she looked like. Icons and images are distorted. Text is fine, the scrolling is fine. And this only happens in Firefox (i.e. other programs on my computer, including other browsers are fine).

    No idea what it is and how to fix it?

    Thank you.

    Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

    You will need to restart Firefox before this takes effect so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    1. Click the menu button

      then select the Options under Windows or Preferences on Mac or Linux.

    2. Select the Advanced Panel, then on the general tab.
    3. Uncheck the use hardware acceleration when available.
    4. Restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

    This solve your problems? Please report to us!

    If the problem is resolved, you should check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in these articles in the knowledge base:

  • You can wrap text around a picture in E10 by using the rich editor? You cannot superimpose an image and an area of just text, so how would this work?

    You can wrap text around a picture in E10 by using the rich editor? You cannot superimpose an image and an area of just text, so how would this work?

    Amy,

    You must place the image in the text box to wrap around him, or a heavier way test, you can use text several boxes and place them strategically around the image, but if you want to hyperlink the image you have to place it inside the text box and you can not overlap images and text in e-mail boxes.

    Hope this helps,

  • Copy and paste an image area

    Lenna.png

    I'm doing a zoom in a circle following the mouse cursor. and here's my work:

    private void drawZoomInCircle(bitmap:Bitmap,_p:Point,_originalRadius:Number,_scale:Number):void

    {

    var: matrix new matrix());

    Matrix.Scale (scale, scale);

    var shape: Shape = new Shape();

    shape.graphics.beginBitmapFill (bitmapEdited.bitmapData.clone (), true of true, matrix,);

    shape.graphics.drawCircle (p.x, p.y, originalRadius * scale);

    shape.graphics.endFill ();

    bitmap.bitmapData.draw (shape);

    }

    The problem I have is that, as the image is being adjusted, points are also shifted. For example, left eye locates (100 100) in the original image, but he moves to (200 200) 2:1 sized image. My work has always copy (100 100), so the result is not appropriate.

    I thought about two ineffective ways that makes the browser slow. What is the best way to copy image area of picture dimensioned in a good position?

    added matrix.translate (p.x p.y-(p.y*scale),-(p.x*scale)); and it works

    Thank you

  • How a copy paste a text layer of the file one psd to another?

    Hello

    CS6

    I select the type tool, type some text, create a text layer.

    I went with this still active text layer, ctrl a, selection puts on the perimeter of the entire image, ctrl c (copy) and clicked on the psd file tab I wanted to put it in and went ctrl v (paste)

    text appeared.

    HOWEVER... This isn't text, try selecting the it, you can't!

    To the search, in the layers palette, it is not not a text layer as it was in the psd source.

    going on what?

    I copy paste on this occasion, not drag drop.

    Merlin

    Instead of copying the pixels (what does your process) instead do a right-click on the text layer - select «Duplicate layer...» "and where it says - Destination - click on the dropdown next to"Document"and the change to the file that you are trying to move the text to.

  • How to copy/paste the text box anchor to its anchor text and remove all checkpoints empty?

    Hi all

    I have a document of a few pages, but a story. The right column is the area of main text and on many places, anchored text boxes are placed which appears on the left column, as shown below.

    I want the text of each text box anchor to cut of his place and sticking to its point of insertion/anchor and remove all of the empty boxes of anchored.

    I'm trying since this morning but I was able to get the anchor object reference. Any help on how to start with will be useful.

    Marie rosine

    anchor_box.png

    OK, let's say you have a main text (not rooted) box and three text boxes that are anchored to the text it contains. One is anchored with text, the second is not anchored and the third argument is empty (I won't get into the anchor vs custom anchor line given that you mention in your message).

    Scroll us through the items on the page:

    function main(){
      var myDoc = app.activeDocument;
      var myPages = myDoc.pages.everyItem().getElements();
      for (var i = 0; i < myPages.length; i++){
      {
        var myPage = myPages[i];
        //Checks that the page is valid, and that it is not a master page. If either is true, skips to the next page.
        if (myPage.isValid == false) continue;
        if (myPage.parent instanceof MasterSpread) continue;
        var myItems = myPage.allPageItems;
        for (var j = 0; j < myItems.length; j++){
          //Current item.
          var myItem = myItems[j];
          //If myItem doesn't have a Character parent, it is not anchored.
          //The first and third text frames would fail this test.
          if (!(myItem.parent instanceof Character)) continue;
          //We only care about text frames.
          if (!(myItem instanceof TextFrame)) continue;
          //I think the only way this would happen would be if you had an image or
          //something else unexpected within the frame. I check for it so no content
          //is inadvertently lost.
          else if (myItem.texts.length > 1) continue;
          //If we're still in this iteration of the loop, all qualifications are met.
          //Flatten the text frame.
          //I don't use layers that often so, to me, flatten makes sense. You may want
          //to use a different term if there's a chance for confusion.
          flattenItem(myItem);
         }
       }
    }

    function flattenItem(funcItem)
    {
         //Hold onto the anchor character.
        var myParent = funcItem.parent;
         //Duplicate the text from within the frame so that it appears right after the anchor.
         //There may be other methods, but this works for me. I try to avoid copy/paste
         //so as not to deal with any clipboard mishaps. I added a check in case of empties.
         if (funcItem.texts.length > 0){funcItem.texts[0].duplicate(LocationOptions.AFTER, myParent.insertionPoints[0]);}
         //Replace the anchor character itself with a space (or whatever) which also
         //deletes the text frame it was anchoring.
        myParent.contents = " ";
    }

    I guess the takeaway is perhaps you aren't looking at the main text block and then check if anything it is anchored. You are watching each text block and find out if it is anchored. That's my approach, anyway.

  • Definition of the size of the image in the dynamic text box

    I have a dynamic text box in which I'm embedding an image.  The following code fills the text box

    infoBox.informationText.htmlText=
         "<font size='16' color='#FFFAF0'>"+calledMarkerIndex+
         "\n<font size='14' color='#FFFAF0'>"+calledMarkerDate+
         "<img src='http://jacobull.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/ween.jpg'/>"+
         "\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<font size='12' color='#FFFAF0'>"+calledMarkerDescription;

    How set the size of the image in the code above.  I tried to insert the width and height parameters after the path of the image, but an error is generated.  I would like for the width of the image to be as wide as the text of infoBox.informationText Dynamics

    Any suggestions?

    Also the path to each image corresponds to a variable called calledMarkerContent how could put the img src is equal to the variable called calledMarkerContent?

    Hello J,

    If you use a component to scroll, you can eventually use the ScrollPane for movieclips instead.

    The Adobe AS2 components reference:

    " The ScrollPane component to view video clips, the JPEGs and SWFs in a scrollable area. Using a scroll pane, you can limit the amount of space occupied by these types of media screen. The scroll pane can display the content loaded from a local drive or on the Internet. You can set this content during programming and execution with ActionScript. "page 1093 "

    This way you could integrate the area of dynamic text (for your text) both the movieclip (which has the text for your image inside box) that you can then scale them both in an another movieclip (parent), you use the ScrollPane component on.

    This way your text in dynamic text field dimensionnera not, the image can be scaleed to the size of what ever you like (dynamically) and if the two are sitting in a parent movieclip, this parent movieclip may have a ScrollPane component on it.

    How does that sound?

    Best regards

    Chris

  • Background images are not displayed (CSS, other images ok

    I tried to empty cache, watched: config for odd configurations, made a private window and disabled all extensions. None of them had no effect.

    Test pages: Amazon.com and https://developer.mozilla.org/samples/cssref/background-image.html - two of these pages have loaded by CSS background pictures. For example, the Amazon logo at the top left is a background loaded from a CSS page. The image itself can be found in gross:
    http://g-ECX.images-Amazon.com/images/G/01/gno/sprites/global-sprite-v1._V339353059_.PNG

    This image cannot:
    https://developer.Mozilla.org/samples/cssref/images/starsolid.gif

    But why, why why these images are displayed on their relevant Web pages? I see that Amazon, eBay, and many other sites Web without a range full of images. In particular those used for menus and other important navigation buttons.

    Here's what I see on the Mozilla page mentioned above: I see the text, but no expandable star image. It works in other browsers and on other computers in Firefox.

    The page that I tap on right now has no blue background, windows are not correct (as the search engine is not a rounded grey area) and the magnifying of research is missing. So this experience makes it impossible the use of simple pages.

    Firefox 32, Vista

    It was a strange setting. I have it set, then updated some of the relevant information on the subject myself. Here's the question:

    If the preference of the user browser.display.use_document_colors in subject: config is set to false, the background images will not display.

    How can I add white space between areas that contain text fields?

    I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015.

    I'm trying to change an existing PDF. I need to add white space between areas that contain text fields to allow these areas to be developed and do not overlap the text and the text below fields.

    For example:

    1. 1.

    Progress/strategies:

    1. 2.

    Progress/strategies:

    1. 3.

    Progress/strategies:

    1. 4.

    Progress/strategies:

    The space between each 'progress/strategies' increasing needs. A text field is under each of them. If it's a Word doc, I could just press on enter. What is the best way to do this with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC?

    There is no easy way to do it. You need to move the text fields more apart and if there are static elements, then you will need to use the tool edit text & Images to move them, separately.

  • Paste the text copied without formatting in the form fillable

    I created a PDF form to be completed online for my clients who copy and paste a large amount of information to ensure accuracy. There are several fields that are marked as multiline and formatting so that the field adapts most of the information, however, when customers are copy and paste the information that they are facing two problems:

    1. He is coming with the source rather than the defined field of formatting formatting
    2. When they try to paste several lines of text, it is not wrapped in the field as it should. Instead, he says that he can not paste the text and runs to the end of the field, even if there is a lot of room below.

    This form was created using acrobat and fill using reader. Are there solutions to these two problems?

    Under the Options tab of the field properties window, is the 'allow Rich Text Formatting' selected? If so, that probably the reason and it must behave as you want, when it is turned off. If yo don't want the user to be able to enter more text than the field can display, you should also deselect the option "text long scroll.

  • Images are broken and are not loading duplicate pages?

    Hello

    It's probably a problem really noobish. I worked with happiness on Dreamweaver CS3 all day and had no problems.

    Just went to a new html page and when the copy on Divs and containers that contain images, images are broken, despite the situation does not change. My other pages with the same images show no broken links, no more. If I replace the image with itself, it works, however I have a lot of pictures and they don't always click in the exact spot that I would like, in the first place so copy/paste. The worst it is until I made this page on that it was not broken for everything else I was working!

    I'll have to duplicate the pages instead, which is not really useful.

    I am not trained in coding, I'm a designer and I want to keep this site as simple as possible, as I manage all this. My knowledge is limited to modest amounts of html and CSS.

    Thank you!!

    Below: What the page looks like, highlighting the top div and copying it to the new page, where I paste and it becomes broken.

    Hello, same,

    DW is sometimes somewhat obstinately like a mule, and therefore you must delete your images first and insert them again with the command "insert." If you should have any success with this procedure, please charge to the top of your site, regardless of how it looks like and send us a link to it.

  • The images are dark conversion of Powerpoint 2007

    Can someone help me with a problem in Acrobat9 Pro.I have about 20 slides with images and free lines.  The file size is about 30 MB. When I try to convert the Powerpoint 2007 document to PDF in Acrobat 9 Pro, the first 16 slides are fine however each slide after that has either the all black image or if more than 1 photo is on the slide, the image on the left is very good and right, or the images are in the black.  All lines drawn by hand and the text display correctly in all the slides.

    If anyone has experienced this problem and know of a resolution can you please help.

    If you are not already on the 9.1, update your software.

    If you're on 9.1 and are still seeing the problem, you can post a sample file that demonstrates the problem?
