Images of sensitive background with Media Queries

Hello

I am creating a mobile Web site in Dreamweaver and want to use a picture that will change with different device widths.  I use queries of media with background images.  My problem is that, so that background images to display, I need to assign a height to the div.  When the image is reduced height static rest, leaving the white space below.  So it will be below the image space white sink and look bad.  Is it possible to use several images with queries media bearing sensitive height?  Thank you!

@media screen and (max-width: 1024px) {}

{#mainImage}

background-image: url (.. / images/mainImageLarge.jpg);

background-repeat: no-repeat;

background-position: top center;

background-size: 100%;

height: 272px;

border-top-width: 3px;

border-top-style: solid;

border-bottom-color: #FFF;

}

}

@media only screen and (max-width: 480px) {}

{#mainImage}

background-image: url (.. / images/mainImageMed.jpg);

background-repeat: no-repeat;

background-position: top center;

background-size: 100%;

height: 107px;

border-top-width: 3px;

border-top-style: solid;

border-bottom-color: #FFF;

}

}

@media only screen and (max-width: 320px) {}

#mainImage img {}

background-image: url (.. / images/mainImageSmall.jpg);

background-repeat: no-repeat;

background-position: top center;

background-size: 100%;

height: 150px;

border-top-width: 3px;

border-top-style: solid;

border-bottom-color: #FFF;

}

}

As in this example:

http://ALT-Web.com/FluidGrid/fluid-4.html

METHOD:

Insert 2 images - one for desktops and one for mobile.  Assign classes to each image.

class = "desktop" src = "desktop_image.jgp" / > "

class 'mobile' = src = "mobile_image.jpg" / >

In your CSS, use display: no and display: block to show/hide.

.desktop {}

Display: block;

}

.mobile {}

display: none;

}

/ Special rules for mobile devices * /.

@media only screen and (max-width: 480px) {}

. Desktop {display: none}

.mobile {display: block}

}

Feel free to put your break points however you like.

    You have NOT set .image3 to 100% you have set it to 480px in code. Delicate design does not work like that. If you want the image to be sensitive so you do not set a line of width/height.

    You must change this:

    To do this:

    And this:

    {.image3}

    max width: 104%;

    display: block;

    }

    To do this:

    {.image3}

    max width: 104%;

    height: auto;

    }

    In your code you also have an additional "after .jpg '.

  • Use the image as a background with drawRoundRect

    Hi all

    I would like to use an image as background on some dynamic movieclips... is this possible? Here is my code: -.

    var stab: MovieClip = new MovieClip();

    sTab.graphics.beginFill (0x007FC7);

    Use the graphics class beginBitmapFill() method.

  • I can't hide symbols/items with Media Queries?

    So I have a menu for mobile only, but I can't seem to hide on the desktop version of the site.

    I tried my CSS support queries and checked ID's edge for the div created.  But when that makes them "visibility: hidden" in the Office of CSS stylesheet, it produces an error or did not work at all.

    ID = "eid_1399691671005_menuBar" class = "eid_1399691671005_menuBar_id".

    (I also tried to create the CSS elements first and then animate them.)  However, I could not create a symbol to control the animation.)

    Y at - it a tutorial that I can have jumped more that shows me how to do this? Thanks for your time, this forum has been a great help on searching for information.

    Sorry for the late reply, I actually had this course that does everything that I need.  Thanks for your help though!

    This code executes when the publication is ready

  • Serving images while making the project After Effects with Media Encoder?

    SOOOOO.

    I went with SPECIFIC anti-aliasing on vector files.

    This causes rendering to crash if I do not purge every image.

    IF

    I want to make in the background using Media Encoder,

    PEUT

    I get to purge all images too?

    Does it not follow the project settings?

    Or is it a different preference in Media Encoder?

    Thank you

    As a process dynamic link, rendering SOUL does not allow for such deceptions. Eitehr it works or it's not. Only AErender and AE itself obey this setting particular pref. If you are simply interested in the rendering of BG, consider buying the BGRender of AEScripts script.

  • Media Queries does not? I have several downloaded on the test link

    Hey guys...

    I had a lot of mobile problems with this site. I tried a few queries, I tried a lot of things, essentially same result.

    The biggest problem I see is the background does not appear. The menu is not centered, etc. But the wrong circles and inconsistencies in the pages really kills me.

    LINK

    The page author has several that I'm trying. If you look at the other pages, you will see that I started with 2 queries. No work anywhere. Provided background on the purchase only page on my Droid Mini.

    Thank you

    You use the device-width as in

    @media screen alone

    and (min-device-width: 768px)
    and (max-device-width: 1024px)
    and (orientation: landscape)

    Device-width returns to the screen (for example, 1024 to 1024 x 768) resolution, whereas the width refers to the width of the browser itself (which will be different from the resolution if the browser is not maximized). If your resolution is big enough to put you in a breaking point, but the width of the browser is small enough to enter another, you end up with a strange combination of the two.

    Unless you have a legitimate reason to restrict style sheets, based on the resolution and not the size of the window, then just use min-width/max-width and avoid the min-device-width/max-device-width.

    9 Firefox behaves differently in previous versions with regard to css3 media queries. Is it possible to behave properly?

    I use the different style settings based on the width. FF9 ignores changes in width and does is display the maximum width of css. Older versions would use different parameters based on the width of the browser currently has been.

  • Problems with media player 11 and all other players, playing music is broken?

    Problems with media player 11 and all other players, playing music is broken?

    Hi all

    I have a big sound even and odd / problem reading music?

    My computer using windows media player 11 and classic media windows and others to play my music in the hard lists recorded by windows media player 11 copied from my CD.

    But here's the weird problem that only started to happen now, when I play music saved on any one of the players of the computer the sound breaks sometimes but not always?

    Even if I try tp use players like windows media player 11 to play recorded video clips sound breaks toward the top, but the video image only?

    I have a newly completed with windows xp home system and service pack 3, and all memory and material necessary for a pc game of level, a new graphics card was installed and by the way the problem of noise was there before this was done?

    I don't know what is the fault? And I don't know how to find out what the required audio driver are for his computer system I?

    I tried the right click on the audio device to see if the pilot could be updated in case that's all? All he asks is a cd or a floppy disk, but I thought you could ask to search for drivers online too?

    He even now breaks the game sounds too!

    Help, please

    If you access Windows Update (start - programs - Windows Update), you can
    see if there is a newer driver. The drivers are optional updates are not so made
    automatically.

    Download the driver for your audio hardware manufacturer (or motherboard if
    "It's built-in sound). They are often newer than Windows Update.

    This explains how to disable the improvements.

  • CSS media queries

    Making browsers OS 5 and 6 both CSS media queries? I am trying to create style sheets separate to a Torch, Bold (9700) and a curve (9300).

    http://forabeautifulweb.com/blog/about/hardboiled_css3_media_queries/

    Jason,

    You can try with something like that.

    sCSS is the string name of the CSS, so you can create different files, based on the model of BlackBerry or smart phone BlackBerry width.

    sCSS can be for example: stylesheet9700.css, stylesheet9300.css,... or stylesheet480.css, stylesheet360.css,...

    var oLink = document.createElement("link")

  • Refresh Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center

    Dear all,

    I know that this issue is outdated, but I'm stuck and could not find relevant suggestions to solve the problem. I had a Windows 7 preinstalled on my laptop and when windows 8 pro upgrade offer was announced I was among the first who was immediately upgraded to windows 8 pro and then as a special offer that also gave me the windows media center to activate. I would like to confirm that I have not the mail where in the product key for windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit and windows media center. After the upgrade, except a few hiccups, there is no problem at all. Then when windows 8.1 pro was available on the windows store I've even once upgraded to windows 8.1 pro. After the installation of my new configuration was Windows Pro 8.1 with Media Center.

    But immediately after the upgrade, I realized that the discount into account and recovery option did not work. He always encouraged me that some files are missing and I need to insert the media. But never, I downloaded an image ISO of Windows 8 Pro and don't have I not a windows media 8.1 pro because of the way I had been upgraded to windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center. in any case, I just forgot the question and never bored on this subject seriously.

    But Offlate I realize that my computer has slowed down considerably. I tried the option to delete the Temp, Prefetch compensation files, scan /sfc, defrag etc etc. But nothing seems to work. Suddenly I realize also that when booting I get a blue screen with the message this process is critical error blue screen death. Sometimes, I just get a prompt Commander with press TP message press Ctrl Alt Del and then some message about a problem in external media connected failure... I never took a snapshot of the same thing.

    Now someone can tell me how to do: -.

    b how to refresh windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center without any media. I have only windows 8 Pro and Media Center Key separately.

    (b) If there is no way to update windows 8.1 Pro without media then

    (I) Comment to download media Windows Pro real 8.1 with the key of Windows 8 Pro on the Microsoft site.

    (ii) what happens if I download windows 8 Pro Media and then try to update windows 8.1 Pro? Will it work?

    (iii) if I download Windows 8 Pro and then reinstall on my laptop running windows, Pro 8.1 will he do a clean install? What happens to the Sony Vaio Care which is preinstalled on my PC? It's the Bios that has been updated on my PC? I checked out the site of Sony Vaio and found that it has not released and drivers for Windows Pro 8 or 8.1 of Windows Pro. Sony has released updates for Windows Pro 8 and 8.1 of Windows Pro only. So after a clean installation from which will be drivers for Bios, graphics, Ethernet, Bluetooth drivers driver, Wireless LAN Driver, SATA driver, card reader memory, Vaio Care pilot, Vaio Control Center, Data Rescue, Notebook Utilities, Vaio Update, Vaio Gate, fast Internet access, Vaio Smart Network, pilot ME, etc etc...

    (c) how to fix the blue screen issue?

    (d) what to do if I get the Message to press Ctrl Alt Del again and it won't start... Return to the menu even again and again...

    I'd appreciate if tech assistants would care to guide me to solve the problem. Any attempt to answer in very technical terms without guides step by step is likely to confuse me further... If a request to all the counterparts to stay simple.

    But a simple thought crossed my mind - why Microsoft did complicate the question so... Why couldn't they keep the key product of Windows 8 and windows 8.1 even for anyone to directly download the windows pro 8.1 and refresh the PC.

    anyway thanks in advance... regards

    Hi Isabelle,.

    I understand that you are looking for ways to refresh your computer.

    IF you get a message missing files when executing update, it is recommended to create a bootable disk for Windows 8.1 and launch then refresh.

    Please follow the link below that will guide you to create the installation media for Windows 8.1:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

    You have not an ISO for Windows 8.1 with media center, it's Windows 8.1/Windows pro 8.1.

    Once you launch a clean install of Windows, you must reinstall the application on the computer manufacturer website. and to learn more about the availability of drivers, contact the manufacturer of your computer for help.

    Blue screen problem can be caused for multiple reasons such as drivers, hardware...

    See the bottom of the article that will help you with the blue screen on the PC problems:

    and the following files:

    Setup
    Bootmgr.EFI
    Bootmgr

    How can I create an ISO image of windows 8 with the help of these files and folders. I even installed ADK, but I couldn't keep up with it.
    I would be very grateful if someone could help me out here.

    Secondly, I would also like to know how to create a system image of WINDOWS 8, where the hard drive breaks down.

    Concerning
    MAK

    If you have the upgrade key, go here

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

    You can go for the use of win8 / win7 / vista to match highlights you want - and download the win8 installation and run the installation with your key to download you need to install windows from that.  Will allow you to have an iso bootable.

    Make a picture of the control panel system / Windows 7 file recovery / system Image.  I certainly wouldn't put it on dvd.  It will be too.   Find an old preference portable hard drive and buy a $ 20 usb box, get an external hard drive.
