Hi Richieok,

Welcome to the HP forums!

I see your message that you have a printer Deskjet printing from your Windows 7 computer, is not able to print with your iPad. I will certainly do my best to help you with this!

What model HP Deskjet do you have?

It is connected via USB or wireless to the computer?

What happens when you try to print from the PC? You get errors? If so, what are saying?

I suggest that you download and run the HP print and doctor in the meantime Scan to see what suggestions it can offer.

  • HP: Please help - Mirror Image printing HP 6520 via windows 8.1

    Please help :-(

OK so I tried to figure this out for 5 hours as to believe I can do it but don't know how.

I have a HP Photosmart 6520 printer all-in-one and I recently turned to a new laptop which is running windows 8.1.

I try to print using mirror image.  I am aware that my printer does not support this but on my old computer, I used to install option of the device hp Photosmart 7400 series instead of the 6520 and it worked very well and I was able to print using the installation of the mirror image.

Now when I try to install the printer manually it is no longer an option of 7400 seris who took my installation of mirror image printing.  I don't want to copy the text in paint and flip because the quality is not very good and I am sure that I can and that it should be able to do it via the printer or the driver?

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read :-)

    Hey @hill25,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support. I hope you enjoy your experience here.

I see that you plan to print the style of mirror-image with your Photosmart HP 6520 e-all-in-one printer. I want to help you with this. I have some suggestions that might help.

At first I thought that this type of printing has not been supported, but clear me up by my colleague @X-23 . If you make a few adjustments for the driver and your printer printing preferences, it should be possible to print the mirror with your existing installation image text. Here's how:

    1. Press the Windows key + r , and type Control Panel , and press enter
    2. Select the devices and printers
    3. In the devices and printers folder right click on your HP Photosmart e-all-in-one 6520, printer and left click on printer properties.
    4. Left click on the Advanced tab
    5. Left-click on new driver
    6. When the new driver window just press 'Next' until you see a list of manufacturers on the left and a list of Printers on the right.
    7. Select HP as the manufacturer on the left
    8. DeskJet 9800 select the printer on the right. If Deskjet 9800 is only select "Windows Update" at the bottom left and once the update has been completed, you will be able to select Deskjet 9800.
    9. After selecting Deskjet 9800 hit next complete the new driver Wizard
    10. Under the printer properties window, select "Apply", but don't hit not OK
    11. Select the general tab
    12. Rename your printer to HP Photosmart 6520 e - all - in - one printer
    13. Click OK
    14. Finally, right click on your HP Photosmart e-all-in-one 6520, printer one more time and left-click on Printing Preferences
    15. Left click on the paper/quality tab
    16. Left click on the drop down menu 'Normal' for quality printing at the bottom right and change its normal fast
    17. Press apply and OK

Now that you've updated the driver, return to Printing Preferences and click on the Finish tab as shown below:

Ideally, this approach, you retain all the features of your normal printer. When you are looking to disable the mirror image function simply go in the printer tab preferences as before and clear the mirror image check box.

Let me know if this work around will be useful in answering this post. If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to say "You rock!" by clicking the "Thumbs Up" icon below and by clicking to accept this solution.

  • updates failed every night for Hewlett Packard Imaging printing HP Photosmart 6520 series NULL

Since I have my printer photosmart 6520 02/12/2012 every night he's trying to update Hewlett Packard photosmart HP 6520 series print NULL Imaging... .and it fails every time.  I have a desktop HP P 7 1010 and since I got a new printer, I have an exclaimation point on my computer and it says the problems and when you do it it's is not drivers and it shows NO FIXED.  When you close the session at night, he tries to update the NULL characters again and it fails every time.  I spoke with people from your service many times for more than an hour and they can't solve the problem.  Help, please

I did some research on the problem of another user, and looks like it's just a ghost update.  Basically, an update 'ghost' is an update that was for the device, but unit has newer drivers which causes the update failing to keep.  The only thing you can do is to hide the update, or ignore it.  Windows will continue to try to push it, but your printer does not need it.  If she didn't need the update, it would install right.  You can find the thread where I helped another user below.  I hope this helps.

    Hey @sudiegal!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I would be happy to provide you with some suggestions that may fix the problem.  I see that the printer cancels jobs when you add a photo to you text document.  The first thing I suggest is to remove the printer by resetting the printing system.  After removing the printer add printer and then try printing the document again.

    2. click on System Preferences

    3. click on printers and Scanners

4 press and hold 'Ctrl' on the keyboard and click with the mouse in the space below the printer

    5. click on reset the drop-down list printing system

    6. we may request for Mac ID and color wheel for a while until the printer is deleted

    To re-add the printer:

    1. click on the Apple in the top left of the computer icon

    2. click on System Preferences

    3. click on printers and Scanners

    4. click on the plus sign (+) icon in the list of printers

    5 Select your printer

    6. choose HP ENVY 7640 series in the drop-down list next to 'use' or 'print using '.

    7. click on add

If please, after back and let me know if it works for you!

  • Mirror Image printing

The HP5510d prints images in a mirror?  Try to make the heat-sealed T-shirt transfers.  I am using Printshop 3.0 and it doesn't have a mirror image setting.

    Hello

Please use the following instructions to set up. You may need to flip the image before sending the print job:

  • Microsoft Paint problem with preview and images printed in being extended

I used Microsoft paint for years and all of a sudden, I'm having a problem where when I previews the image in paint is be lying and it is also elongated impression. However, the image in the window of the paint itself is fine, and if I open the image in another application IE. Photoshop - image presents a preview and prints correctly. What has changed and how I can fix?

As I said previously... I guess just but you mentioned that the distortion
was not only visible when in preview but also appeared on the print
document. If it occurred during the display, I suspect the video driver.

If the printer has not been updated for many years... of the manufacturer
support site might have an updated driver, you could try. And it is certainly
possible that the printer has nothing to do with this issue...

If everything worked perfectly until recently... it may be worth trying
do a system restore in Mode without failure for some time before painting began to have
    problems.

If you receive auto-mises to update WIndows Update... it is possible that a
a driver updated of some type has been installed that you aren't aware of.

Given that the painting seems to be the only application affected...uninstalling/reinstalling
may be worth a try... but you would need a Win XP install disk.

  • Photosmart 5520 and the mirror image printing

I have problems printing as well a mirror image. I have a "HP Photosmart 5520'. I read somewhere that this machine has the capabilities but I can't! Help, please!

    Hello

No, it doesn't have this facility. Please, try the following options:

    • Use a computer program available, like paint or photoshop. These programs allow you to turn and rotate your image to create the image backwards (mirror).
    • Go to the site to Create Mirror Images . This site is free and takes about 60 seconds to do, no download is necessary either.

  • OfficeJet 7200 series: Images print do not after Windows 8.1 upgrade

I had the problem of images not current print some time ago and I was directed to this forum for a replacement printer driver that fixed the problem... that is until I upgraded to Windows 8.1. The Windows Installer to update replaced this driver with another and no trace of it. I don't remember his name, but it is generic in nature.

    Hi @joefredt ,

I understand that you encounter problems, printing images since the upgrade to Windows 8.1. You used a generic driver previously with Windows 8 that solved the problem. I will do my best to help you today.

From the start screen, (menu tiles) type in "Devices and printers", select settings, click devices and printers.

Click Add a printer. Go through the wizard by selecting the right port (USB 001) and the printer Deskjet 990.

This should solve the problem for you.

If you need help, let me know.

    Have a great day!
    Thank you.

  • How mirror image printing on HP6520

I try to print T shirt transfers. This new model of the HP6520 printer (photosmart) does not mirror optional image list in the advanced printing preferences. I am able to select HP t shirt transfer paper choice

    Saly,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

If your printer is not directly compatible print mirror image, you can use the following workaround.

If you use Windows, you can use Paint.

Painting still works and is included in Windows 8.x, is told by the way!

    1. First make a copy of your file if you find yourself flipping around your original file.
    2. Open the new .jpg file in paint
    3. On the Home tab, click on 'Select' > Select All
    4. Next to the 'Select' box blue, find three icons. The third icon from the top down is the command "rotation / flip.
    5. Select the small arrow next to the icon "rotation / flip" > select "Flip horizontal".
    6. Save the file under a new name
    7. Print the file

    Pouf!  Easy.
