  No, the IMEI is simply a device identifier, not an authentication token.  It can be used to listen to or entered in the device itself at all.  It doesn't identify your device to all other like devices on the network.  There is nothing else that an address material, useful for the network to keep track of who is connected and that the carrier chooses to allow on their network.

  Yet, why you give personal information or any information you think apparently ill at ease to give to some Internet site?  If it was one of those ridiculous sites IMEI "tick", don't use them - each one is at least partly a fraud since the carriers and manufacturers are not available to the public data that these sites claim to have.

  If you go to settings > general > about, there is a model number which are listed there. It is not the number on the back of the unit, it will give you information. Why can not locate the model at the back of your phone number? What version of the iPhone are you talking about?

So about 3 days ago I check with Tmobile imei check and it said that the phone has a balance and could not be used on tmobile if the invoice is not paid. I know I got fked trying to contact the seller, but I don't have much hope that it will never. Today I check once again, and he says that the phone is locked. However, it still works fine. I tried to run the speedtest and compare it with 6 sec of my friend also from tmobile. It turns out that my phone is actually faster than my friend.
