  Looks like you have imported content in your new iMovie library, but there is no actual clips showing events you have in your library. I thought there might be a problem with the new library, or something could have damaged the library when the import was made, so I would like to start by creating a new library, once again the disk inside your movies folder:

  If the problem persists with the new library, then I create a new user admin on your computer and see if you can reproduce the problem there.

• iMovie imported my clips but did not convert the

  Hi all.

  Recently, I imported a whole bunch of my GoPro clips in iMovie. They seemed imported ok, but when I drag them from the event in the project and then decide I want to make adjustments of speed in clip adjustments, it is said that the clip was not converted - see attached screenshot.

  In addition, displaying some of the clips, some of them do not see smooth, the video will be trolling heavily but audio will continue. This will be resolved once that I convert the clip but it's a bit frustrating when I have to drag the item from the window of the event in the project window and then convert it just to see if I want to use it or not.

  The clips can be converted singularly but takes a while. I was wondering if there was a way to conversion in bulk the clips so that I could just let it run all night and she'll do all clips at once. I have searched through the toolbars, but found nothing. It is mostly just then preview or watch clips or if I want to make adjustments of speed/run the clip towards reverse.

  I made a video in iMovie earlier in the year with images of the GoPro (from the GoPro even) and had no problems with the conversion of import or clip.

  Any help anyone could give me would be much appreciated.

  PS if possible, I don't want to reimport them since I already moved half the clips I want in my project.

  I made a video in iMovie earlier in the year with images of the GoPro (from the GoPro even) and had no problems with the conversion of import or clip.

  Were then automatically using El Capitan, or a previous operating system?

  There are many reports on these forums that suggest that worm iMovie 8 and 9 are not compatible with El Capitan.OK on previous operating systems

  Even if you convert the clips there may be other issues.

  The recommendation, if you have problems with the 8 CBS NVA, is to download iMovie ver 10 from the App Store.

  It is not free for users of version 8 it is for users of version 9.

  Version 10 is quite different from 8 and 9 so a bit of a learning curve.

• Question of iMovie file Structure

  When you use iMovie v10.1.2, I created a project, completed, and then shared it in a single file.

  Then I went back to iMovie and depending on the projects that I have deleted to save space on the hard disk.

  When I returned in the media view, I saw iMovie has created an 'event' with the same project files that I just deleted.

  This is the example of the scenario I have:

  -J' have created a 'event' 'x' folder and downloaded video files from my camera in the folder

  -J' then I created a project 'y' and edited clips using video files of 'x' folder event

  -J' then shared the project 'y' in a single mp4 file

  -In view of the project, I then deleted project 'y '.

  -When I got to the media view, I saw I have now my record original event 'x' and also noticed that iMovie has automatically created and the event file containing the items that I used in the project 'y', using the same file name for the event that the project folder

  Now, I think I have a double to the top of the same event files in 2 folders separate event 'x' and 'y', is this correct, and why does do this?

  I need to save space on my drive hard while I was trying to delete the folder 'y' in the media view that iMovie created automatically, what worries me is if the iMovie connects the files in the two events 'x' and 'y' or they just separate event files where delete the event folder of 'y' will have no impact on the event of 'x' folder where I originally downloaded video clips to?

  iMovie creates a media event for each project. When you add media to the project, it goes in the media event of the project. When you delete the project does not remove the media event of the project. You must do so separately. If you have created the event x folder in the finder and downloaded into it and then imported into iMovie from it you should see no impact to it by removing the multimedia project file. If you imported using import iMovie window and created the event x folder by using the import window you should see it in the sidebar as a library of events. removal of the media event of the project does not affect it. It is my understanding of the works of iMovie.

• iMovie 10.1.2: addition to the shifted music synchronized?

  My first question here in the community!  Glad to be here!

  I use a 27 Mac end of 2013. "  El Capitan and 10.1.2 running iMovie.

  I use iMovie for about 2 years and edited with her for hundreds of hours.  I am a heavy user and myself as 'intermediary' in skills.

  So on to my question.  I have a project that has the video and still images.  It has an audio track with the video, and usually, I add an audio track at bottom as well.  I want to synchronize my fixed video changes with the rhythm of the audio background track.  I do this by putting markers on the audio track and then by dragging the video/photos of these markers.  It works well (maybe there is an easier way?).

  In any case, I almost always find clips that I want to add to the project after the fact.  The problem is that this hits all my changes synchronized to audio out of alignment for any change after the insertion point.

  I tried pinning audio for the clips as well as to let it float free down.  Whatever it is, I hate to add them later because I have to run through the whole of the project new setting of transitions.

  Any ideas?  I hope there is a solution!

  Hi, tragusa3,

  iMovie 10 has no function to make clips automatically snap to beats. Because you set markers manually, I don't see any way to avoid having to readjust after adding clips to the timeline.    You want your images fixed/vids to show at specific points along an audio track to keep pace.  Add multiple clips will disrupt the sequence unless the replacement clip has the same duration as that to be moved.  That's maybe having to readjust.

  If it remains the way your film can be partitioned logically, you might be able to work on a segment without disrupting the next segment.   In other words, create a new project to work on a single segment and then re-import this segment in the main project.

  Maybe others will weigh with some ideas on this.

  I get cards sd with the MTS files and you want an application that can import directly.

  I can't find any information if the latest version of Imovie supports importing MTS files from an SD card.

  Someone on this forum can help me?

  Or do you know a good alternative for Imovie import STDs, edit video, use the features of simple enchancing and export to mp4.

  .mts files are produced by recording AVCHD cameras.  It is generally recommended to import from a full set of AVCHD (camera, SD card or copy of SD card) but the latest version of iMovie also allows drag-and - drop files individual .mts directly into iMovie or the project timeline event.

• iMovie will not open since the installation of capitan

  Finally, I bit the bullet and installed El Capitan on my Macbook, and now I'm seriously wishing I didn't. I can't open iMovie, even after the update to version 10.1.2 earlier today. Whenever I try to open, I get the message "that iMovie close unexpectedly". I have UN - and re - installed it and restarted my computer, but nothing has worked. I really need this for my work, so any help would be appreciated!

  Try to open iMovie while holding down the command and option keys. If it opens, select Delete preferences. I guess you have not yet created a library. I don't know what version you were using previously, but if it was before iMovie 10 then iMovie updates your projects and events to its library system.

• trouble opening my imovie external archives

  I have Mac OS X 10.9.5 and Imovie version 10.0.4. I have an Imovie library stored on an external hard drive. Now when I click on "open library" and select the external drive, I get the following message:

  "The operation could not be completed. One or more projects or events have been created with a newer version of iMovie. These projects and events will be ignored. »

  After a quick search, I found this information Update projects and events of previous versions of iMovie in iMovie (2014) - Apple supported.

  But I'm not sure what they mean by this phrase: check that iMovie and records events iMovie projects are stored on the upper level of the reader. I checked the Imovie library is placed at the top level of the drive but I can't open it and I can not access or place one deposited it named events Imovie or Imovie projects on the disk.

  Apart from that detail I followed the advice of the Apple support and tried to go to file-> "update of projects and events", but I only get the message that "iMovie cannot find events or projects to put up-to-date."

  Your friend must have opened the library with a later version of iMovie 10 that you have on your Mac and let updating the library that make it incompatible with your version.  If you update iMovie on your machine the last version (10.1.2) must read the OK library.

  I think you should ignore FOCUS_CHANGED because the listField stil keep focus in these events.

• Restore Aperture library in El Capitan

  I just upgraded to El Capitan 10.11.4 10.9.x

  All my photos were paintstakingly organized at the opening of records for years, events and stages of life.

  I noticed that Aperture is no longer available in my app list - so my first question is, can I restore somehow Aperture?

  Secondly, I made the mistake of "redevelopment" of my opening book for use in pictures, thinking that all my hard work organizing would be preserved. Instead, all my files are missing, and the photos are now simply sorted by date.

  I tried to use Time Capsule to locate the original Aperture library but can't seem to find it. If I can find it, is there a way for me to restore this library (assuming that I can restore somehow Aperture)?

  Only opening 3.6 runs on El Capitan.

  You should be able to update to this version by reinstalling the opening history of purchases on the app Store.  The "Updates" tab work is no longer at the opening.  See this tip for users: update to Aperture 3.6 after the release of Photos

  When you migrate an Aperture for the pictures library, the original Aperture library will still work with an opening. Photos just change the file name extension to ", migratedaplibrary".  Change the ".aplibrary" file name extension, and then double-click it to open it in Aperture

  If you have deleted the original Aperture library, you should be able to restore from your backup Time Machine. Open the 'Images' folder and with in the Finder and with that file open Finder window before entering Time Machine.  Go back, until you see your Aperture library in the pictures folder.

  Select it, then click on the button "restore".

  Your script does not remove the '0' value when there is no entry for the date of birth field.

• Centro palm desktop - sync calendar, freezes

  My little subject line said about everything.  Been syncing fine until today that used to synchronize the calendar.  Initially, it wouldn't sync and the log says my calendar or my computer was full, so it wouldn't sync.  Now, it freezes just straight up trying a sync schedule & calendar.  With the help of desktop 6.2.2.  Everything syncs ok if I put the calendar to ' do nothing '.  the search of funds to find errors returns no corrupt files.  Nothing appears overtly wrong with the calendar on my centro.  Earlier today, a group of appts disappeared from the phone (before I tried to synchronize and failed).  After the synchronization has failed, the starters were back in double.  I went back and remove duplicates (leaving only 1 entry each) on the phone, but it still won't sync.  There is no duplicate desktop, as I can tell.

  So now what should I do?

  I had this same problem. I spent about 2 hours, the phone today with the support of palm. Here is the result: on the centro that I had to find and remove corrupt files (calendar of events) there. For example, I have a 4-5 years event that would only "uuu1" or some similar nonsense. What Palm had me do is go on a third party site and download a version of an application called dbfixit. www.pimlicosoftware.com. the software detects the problem but the free trial version can not fix this so I had to go to each corrupt event and remove it myself.  I don't think that my support person realized that the freeware version could not the problem of automatic adjustment. So there was a little confusion there... but in the end, I have everything fixed and hotsynched (rescue) I hope this helps you,

  2nd BudYR09..., 5th in FY09... so is it possible to replace text in the 5th rank based in 2nd place... so 2nd rank: BudYr09,... then 5th lines should be only FY09... all other years (of FY10, FY11 should be changed to FY09 based on BudYr09

  I'm sorry that the feature is not available in report scripts. You might be able to do in financial reports, but even there, I'm not sure. You can do it easily on dodeca.
