Implementation in mosaic of images and animations

Hello!

Let me start by saying that I am a novice at web site design. I have a little bit of experience in the development of web pages with a very basic (and very limited) understanding of HTML and CSS. I dabbled slightly with programming in general, but I don't have any deep knowledge or experience. I'm an Illustrator and animator, who needs to rebuild a website from the ground up, but I don't want to take shortcuts. I would like to learn how to properly develop my site in Dreamweaver.

I started the study, research and practice to bring together basic pages. I wrote some wireframes and have an idea General of what will be the content of each page. What I would like to ask the community, it is a guidance and advice to help me achieve a particular goal. Below is a picture to help explain what I'm aiming towards, followed by an explanation.

The image above is one of several pages that I aim to create. Not all pages like this, but I chose to develop this one first because it is likely to be the most complicated page, that's why I would like to address it head on to help me learn.

The basic idea is to have a background in mosaic with animated content that is placed on the mosaic model. Ideally, I would implement several sprites tiled in order to keep the scheme being too repetitive, but for now I'll keep it simple and one image of tiles. Animation assets will probably be gifs, unless someone wishes to suggest an alternative solution. To clarify, the active animation will be frame by frame traditionally animated content that will match the positioning of the different tiles. Animations will also have transparency and would ideally lead to different eras. I usually animate in After Effects and Photoshop, but I'll happily lead in something else (like CC animate or Edge animate) if he will provide me with the proper tools and solutions.

If I had to get more advanced, I would include an element of interactivity. Something in the sense of having the animation assets change or make an animation based on the mouse position. But for now I don't know of the term. I like to keep things relatively simple because my experience is limited.

What I'm asking, is any guidance or advice that may be useful for helping me achieve my goal of completing that single page. I hope that by creating this page, I will learn a lot of things on the way and making solid progress towards power complete the site as a whole. Whatever it is would help, because I'm not sure of what would be the best methodology to use in this situation.

Don't apologize for the lack of conciseness, with things the more information the better.

A lively cc file won't work properly, you want to use a number of animations and later to provide interactivity (this would work for 1 or 2 however), but the random positioning is a major problem.

First of all, let me tell you that it is possible, however, (you knew this was coming didn't you) with knowledge only beginners html/css and no knowledge of javascript, you have a major problem. No matter what method you use, interactivity is virtually impossible without an advanced understanding of css and javascript.

According to your animation, you can use an animated gif, or to animate a simple number of animations css sprites, this positioning randomly will require javascript, html/css has no post random number generator / integrated in the plug.

HTML is essentially static with no built-in method to place or move anything in the html code, (it may not even submit a form for you). We have to move something in a position given in the browser viewport using css and change this position javascript.

My advice would be to become reasonably proficient with the use of css animations, before going any further. Although when first met by many, css animations can seem complexed, is not, and this is probably your best option to start, once you have made your first animation based on this film becomes much simpler. I would recommend if extensive testing as animations more you have the less sensitive you page becomes whole.

Another possibility is to use svg and animate it, but that would require a good knowledge of javascript.

    Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

    Also, make sure that your security (firewall, antivirus) software is not blocking content.

  • Addition of the new Image and text to an existing Page created with Tables

    I try to add a new image/link and a small amount of text to an existing web page that was created with tables and centered.  I use AP div tags. One for the image and one for the text.  Everything works fine, but I can't get the new anchor points and to re - center with the rest of the page.  I'm not able to get around the "absolute positioning".  I tried different solutions of various tutorials but I can't make them work with tables.

  • blurring of the images and keep the average luminance

    I am cropping Visual attention - I work with black and white geometric patterns (think of checkerboards, swirls, etc.) and I want to take my images 'standards' and climb in different ways so that they look at novel but contain pixels of same exact like the original, so to keep their original average luminance.  I know how to use filters "distort" but I don't know if these maintain overall luminance or not... what I would ideally like to do is just highlight some parts of the image and move them, creating a mosaic of the original image.  Any suggestions?

    I can't think a soloution a single click, but I tried the research of various effects of mosaic.  To do this manually you would need a repeating pattern like a hexigon.  You can use the form to eradicate the fields one at a time and copy into a new layer and then do a transposition of the word puzzle type.  Set your palette of layers in the large thumbnails so you can see what "tile" to pick up and move, or better yet, select the move tool and check "Auto Select" to the far left of the options bar.  I hope someone will come up with a simple solution for you.

  • I downloaded "image and flash blocker ' to get rid of AutoPlay video pop - ups, but now I can't play videos! Help!

    to stop the automatic boring-playback of videos on different sites (such as cnn.com), I tried the 'request to activate' setting on shockwave or flash and it happens again, so I was directed to the firefox site that had the IMAGE AND FLASHBLOCKER to install and now nothing plays! I tried on youtube, for example, and I can hear the sound, but there is no video. I can't find what I installed to uninstall! have no idea what to do now.

    Because of my connection is often slow, I have the option to turn off "automatically download images" and Java script. 23 Firefox doesn't have these options. Where can I download version 22 or whatever the latest version is that these permitted options?

    I used to have pictures and icons, but now none are not displayed, just text. I deleted Firefox and downloaded but the error persists so I have to have an incorrect setting.

    Is he missing pictures then make sure you are not block images from certain domains.

    • Check the permissions for the domain in the active tab in "tools > Page Info > Permissions.
    • Check that the images are enabled: Tools > Options > content: [X] loading images automatically
    • Check exceptions in "tools > Options > content: Load Images > Exceptions.
    • See the tab "tools > Page Info > media ' for blocked images (scroll all the images with the cursor key).

    If an image in the list is grayed out and there is a check mark in the box "block Images of..." and remove this mark to unlock the images from this area.

    Make sure that you do not block the images of third parties, the pref permissions.default.image must be 1.

    There are also extensions like Adblock Plus (Tools > Modules > Extensions) and security software (firewall, antivirus) that can block the images and other content.

  • JPEG blurred when playing even after stop on image and rendering

    Hi, I have my encounter a problem with some JPEG images that I need to include in my edition. The original files are of good quality and the right size and what toFCP imported, they look fine and "tidy" in the timeline. As soon as I start to play, they become very blurred. I had done a lot of research online and tried the fix to make a stop on the first frame image and allows to overcome the blur. I have done this and made the effect and the blur is not also bar there is still quite a decline in quality. I am running the latest version of FCP X. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Online banking site now displays the page of connection in text alone; on the other computer it always shows the page with images and clickable - is - it a solution?

    Previously when I logged my INGdirect Bank online account, the window connection come showing images and clickable hotspots. Window connection changed recently, to a text only version. On two different computers using Firefox, the connection returns to the previous version, with images and clickable hotspots. I do not know to have done anything to change my settings in Firefox or on the website of the Bank. Because it seems to be located on this computer, I tried to download the latest version of Firefox, but didn't get any change, connection always comes back to the text-only format.

    Try to clear your browser's cache.

    Tools > clear recent history... - details and of course Cache hit only is selected, and then select all and click the clear now button.

  • Saving as a single .html does not include the full web page (with images and properly formatted) as it did before! What happened here?

    First of all I must emphasize that I keep always up-to-date as soon as a new version of Firefox will appear.

    Now, a few months ago Firefox was able to save complete web pages as a single .htm file (including images and styles). Proof of this is that I have done it then. But now, after a few Firefox updates (sorry, but I can't identify exactly which of them might have been the one that messed up for me), while he was trying to exactly the same thing on the same website it is no longer possible. What happens is that now to choose the option 'Save the Web as HTML' (which I think is that I used to select before) it will not save the images and styles of web page, only the basic text and the home page anchors while he primarily save!

    I still have the old .htm files, I saved before (I can give them to you) and they work again properly on any PC (I tested), so it means that it is not a .htm file using the cache on my PC to render the images links to the file.

    I am aware that I can choose the 'Full page' option, but it creates a folder that I don't want to, so I'd rather have the old option to export the web page in a unique and properly shaped file that includes images!

  • F5 does not show the images and style sheets

    When I load a page for the first time, everything's fine, however when I hit F5, page does not connect to one of the styles/scripts and images are not loaded at all. I tried to run FF in safe mode (7.0.1), which has not solved the problem.

    But any page of our system, including those with much simpler presentations gives the same exact error...

    Thanks for your help, makes us understand in this case after a lot of digging around... We use a 2.5 abyss to our web server. Appearantly, there is a bug with the length of the content on images (and any support files) do not set correctly (at all). When you load the page the first time all right, but when you refresh the images are read from the cached files, and FF 7.01 does not approve headers corrupt on the image files (behavior correct in FF, but stricter than in previous versions!). We have updated the Web server to version 2.7, which solved this problem... We found an old post that makes us in the right direction as well:

  • Problems reading images and sounds DVD satellite A110-276

    A couple of months my Equium A110-276 has stopped playing DVD correctly.

    The sounds and images on the DVD are slow, sometimes jump and are generally not synchronized.
    I downloaded the latest drivers, but it made no difference. If I stream a youtube video for example the image and the sound are both very good.

    Everyone think of something I can do about it?

    If the video stream seems ok so everything seems to be ok with the graphics card.

    I think that either there is a problem with the CD/DVD driver or the software itself.

  • Equium A110 - DVD image and sound appear agitated & scratchy

    Hey guys, for the last two days when I insert a dvd/cd in my laptop and try to play it, the image and sound both seem choppy and rough. also when I try to copy and burn a dvd, it takes forever (2-3 h) whereas before it took barely 15 minutes.

    Is it possible to fix this?

    And another question, I want to try to restore the laptop to its 'factory settings '.

    If you want to define the notebook to factory settings, you will need to recover the operating system from the recovery CD Toshiba delivered! But beware, the recovery procedure erases the entire HARD disk. Create a backup before you start the installation from the recovery CD

    Now something about the issue of sound and video:
    Maybe that STRANGE is malfunctioning, it is not impossible but incredibly.
    Laptop you supports acoustic silencers request try to remove it.

    But after the installation of recovery everything should work fine... I hope ;)
