    Hello everyone

    Have you ever wondered if there was a way to access the files on a memory card in the printer to your computer? Is there. Here's a video that shows how import or view the files on a memory card in the printer of Windows 8 if the printer is connected via USB.

    This video shows you how to import and display the files and images in Windows 8 on your computer, when you insert a memory card into your USB connected printer.

    I hope that aid video above.

    This is especially useful if you do not have a computer with a memory card reading and you need to retrieve an image from a memory card.

  • How can I import and export MBOX files in Thunderbird?

    Hi all, how can I import and export MBOX files in Thunderbird?

    I tried to install the add-on "ImportExportTools" but it seems that it is no longer recognized by Thunderbird, not the most recent generation.

    That this is the case, is no longer seems to be any official method of handling the files MBOX via Thunderbird, which is odd, given that Thunderbird itself announces that it is method of storage of email records is also MBOX files. It seems obvious that Thunderbird should natively support a file format import and export it is used internally

    Hi there and thank you. I got it on 45.2.0.

    "" I haven't managed to make it work, but only by the search for available modules and following a request from 'import export tools' the "see all results" that work only then produced a success for the plugin in question and showed a button to install it.

    Installers hosted on the site of the third party do not work, nor their instructions to use the option "install file". work, which led to the creation of this ticket.

    Since then, I was able to do properly installed where it works very well.

    If I put a restriction of password that only allow users who buy to print it (no copies or the modification of the document allowed)-it will have no effect on the quality of the file when people open and read the file on mobile devices like phones and tablets?

    Some mobile devices won't be able to open it at all, but if it is open, the quality is not affected.  Please note and understand the warning you get when you set security: indeed, it is largely ignored by many apps.

  • vCO and reading/writing files

    Hello community,

    I am a newbie with vCO, sorry for the basic question perhaps.

    I created a "workflow" for automatic deployment and customization of VMs. job well enough, the model is cloned, sysprep, vCPUs and RAM set and so one. But the final customization tasks is to assign a unique IP address that is in a list in a plain text file. vCO should open the file, take the first IP address in the first line, remove it and close the file (DHCP is not an option). I can open and read the file with the options of '.readall' and a 'player', but which is not exactly what I want. I tried a few '.readline' which translates as "cannot find function readline" and after I I thought to split the entire string that resulted in "no defined split." I really don't know if this is the right way.

    Can someone please guide me in the right direction, perhaps with a few code snippets?

    Thank you very much!

    S.

    OK, here's another example, which reads the entire file into a string, and then use split() for areas exploded in the elements of an array:

    var fr = new FileReader("C://vcoscripts/demo.txt");
    fr.open();

    var complete = fr.readAll();
    System.debug("complete: " + complete);
    var lines = new Array();
    lines= complete.split(/\r\n|\r|\n/);
    System.debug("lines: " + lines);
    for (var linenr in lines) {
        var currentLine = lines[linenr];
        System.debug("currentLine: " + currentLine);
        }

    With this, you can use methods of standard table (push(), pop()), which might be easier to use.

    The regular expression to split the lines that I got:

    http://StackOverflow.com/questions/1155678/JavaScript-string-newline-character

    (good reading...)

    Edit: I forgot: with Array.strip (), you can remove an element of a table (in your case the IP address used before writing it back to deposit via FileWriter...)

    Kind regards

  • Import and location of files

    First of all, I've only used LR very briefly and only to this one end.

    Aim: Get rid of duplicate photos

    I asked on a forum: How can I get rid of duplicate photos?  I was told that LR has done automatically during import.  Suhweet.  Downloaded and installed.  I created the library on a new 5 to HD.  I dragged my whole image of a HD to the library folder in the interface of LR.  When he was done, I did the same thing with HD #2.

    The HDs were mirrored disks, that I used for backup at a given time, but I had a few problems and eventually started using 1 or the other.  A very lazy way to do things but he never seemed to be enough time and I still needed the SD card as soon as POSSIBLE.  I mention that because that lets me know that the content of the libraries is correct (# and size anyway).  I know that the files in the CT 5 HD due to the # of files and the size of the library folder.

    Problem: I don't see the individual pictures on the tb 5 HD.  All metadata are there but there is not a single visible image (.jpb .nef etc...)  I was about to delete the two folders on the HDs small, original, but there is no way that I do it without 100% assurance that I can get what I need without LR.

    The LR library shows 'Folders' and which is ONLY 1 of the files I copied from.

    The 2 HDs image files are still intact.

    On a hunch I, earlier, adds 5 TB HD 'Folders' LR library and he said: no photos found.

    What should I do?  Should I remove the library on the 5 TB HD and this time, use the file/import/COPY in the menu?

    Thank you

    It is very confusing to manage things somehow, and it would definitely help if you have spent some time to learn about how works the importing and running Lightroom. This will save you a huge amount of time and frustration. To get started with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 | Adobe TV, also Adobe Lightroom Quick Start PDF free eBooks to learn the basics

    Your problem seems to be that when you drag files in Lightroom, it is important the photos but leave the pictures exactly where they are, on the other HDs. Thus, you cannot see the individual frames of 5 TB hard disk? That's right, because the photos are not there, they are still on your other HDs.

    In addition, we will be very precise. Lightroom is a database, it does not contain any of your photos. It does not "see" the photos that are on your hard drive as WIndows Explorer or the Mac Finder don't. He knows only photos you imported, and it knows only the folders that have at least one imported photo. Given that your photos have been left in their existing on the other HDs location, Lightroom will report no pictures on the hard drive of 5 TB.

    If you are the only goal to eliminate duplicates, import in Lightroom should be able to eliminate duplicates IN ITS DATABASE, but import in Lightroom will not eliminate duplicates on your hard drive. So I doubt that Lightroom will do what you want here.

  • Importing and organizing photo files lightroom 5 for the first time. Clean photo hard drive files

    I have a trial version of lightroom 5 and would like one once and forall to restore order to my two drives hard and lightroom 5 collection. Some photos in lightroom 5 seem to have lost their way. Some are in folders of Windows 7 and others are 9 elements. I made backup copies of some records and would like to have a more systematic approach to save them in the future. I have a NAS (network access storage) device and an additional hard drive, I thought that it would be better to use my cell phone as main for my photo files working memory such that it would be faster to work with the NAS or external and then again everything down to the NAS and external. I consider that the main challenge group all files and as much as possible to preserve the sides I gave photos; I would like to eliminate duplicats. on both the hard drive and in lightroom. I watched one of the vidios of initial training on the 'library' of the adobe help section and the presenter talked about two ways to import photos. the first and I think that I will use in the future is to open lightroom and import from the SD directly rather than having the Windows 7 import, and then ask to lightroom to find them. If anyone Kow of an exhaustive enumeration of the instructions on how to clean up my hard drives that would be extremely useful? Peter

    I doubt that it is a list of instructions to wipe a hard drive, because each starting situation is different and your 'own' is probably very different than my "clean".

    But let's clear up a few things first. From your writings, it seems that you think that you have stored pictures in post-secondary education and photos stored in LR. This is not correct. None of these programs to store your photos. All your pictures are on your hard drive, in folders, somewhere.

    Regarding the missing photos in Lightroom, when you move or rename your photos and folders outside of the Lightroom, Lightroom doesn't know where they are and bring back them as being absent. To fix it, see: http://www.computer-darkroom.com/lr2_find_folder/find-folder.htm related to that, you don't want to 'clean up' things in Windows and also "clean things" upward in Lightroom. Instead, once you import photos into Lightroom, you must do all the managing photos in Lightroom, not Windows, otherwise you'll just create several missing files.

    Regarding duplicates, Lightroom has some tools to detect duplicates. He will try to prevent duplicates during the import, and if you are unable to import duplicates, you can use the "auto stack by Capture time" to try to find additional duplicates. But if those who do not work, then're it pretty much on your own.

    With regard to put photos on your laptop to work on them rather than on your external hard drive, I think you will find that this gives a fraction of a second speed improvement that you may even not notice, which will be offset by the time you spend moving somewhere else photos when finished. So just put the photos in their final destination on your external HD or a NAS file and don't bother moving them to the internal HD.

    Which leads to another point. Once you have done this 'cleaning', your workflow should be to put the photos in a place and then do not transfer! (Exception: not enough space on the disk or moving to another drive/computer) Make your life easier as possible.

    One last point: seriously consider using keywords and other metadata for the Organization, rather than move photos/files from here to there, to reach the organization. These tools in Lightroom will give you the possibility of organizing in a much more powerful and flexible organization and what you can do by moving the photos/files from here to there. (Note: If you want all the photos in a sort of centralized location because it meets your storage needs, can do that because it meets your storage needs.) In this collection of photos in a centralized location, using keywords and other metadata to achieve organization and research)

  • [LIKE, CS4] Import and export text file that contains the tag: encoding problem

    Hello

    I have a script that exports a text selection into a temporary folder (Unicode) text file with label. This file is then loaded in a variable AS and transformed line-by-line for some changes to the text. Subsequently a new text file with the modified content is written.

    Up to CS2 (and 10.4 PPC) this script worked like a charm. He stopped working with the new system and Intel. Meanwhile, I discovered that it must have something to do with encoding problems. «Everything in the old writing with ' as a unicode text "forced a mistake (since AS 2 each text is processed as UTF - 16), so I changed these lines to ' as text '.»

    In addition, I realized, that InDesign exports to tag text Unicode like UTF-16 (little endian), but importing tagged text to UTF-16BE (big-endian). "As variables and" write iconv ' command uses MACROMAN, so I added a few conversions with ""and it worked.

    Unfortunately the last conversion of MACROMA in UTF-16BE converts all spaces in the output string en normal spaces.

    I am therefore a little at my end of the problem. Can someone help me please?

    See you soon

    The problem is not as long as ID's export is little-endian - someone ' one has not heard of Intel chips - but it does not add a byte order mark. If you add a BOM, the problem should go away. Here's how you can add a Bill adapted to an exported file to tag:

    the fileRef value (open for access file "Macintosh HD:Users:shane:Desktop: Untitled - 16.txt" with write permission)

    the value of x to read fileRef

    Set x to character id {711, 731} & x - add THE BOM

    write x to fileRef starting with 0

    FileRef close access

    Then you can read it using "text Unicode", and it should also cross-platform very well.

    And stop putting your file read/write inside blocks Finder - is not the business of the Finder.

  • Why not download and read .pdf files

    I never had no problem download and playback of .pdf files to what I 'upgraded' Adobe reader version 11. Now all the downloads of attempts fail because "I don't have the necessary helper or same C:\DOCUME~1\Will-o\LOCALS~1\Temp\Back channel II - betrayal of the Viet Nam - ch. 1 & 2. PDF cannot be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Changing the association in your preferences. What in the world is happening and how to fix it?

    Under "Tools - Applications - Adobe Acrobat Document, the I chose 'Use Adobe Reader'." However since I also have Adobe Acrobat 8.3, I tried substitution, for the reader, but which does not work either. Help, please.

    You could try the following:

    (1) change your preference for 'Preview in Firefox' and use the download button to save the file. But it's an extra step.

    (2) change your preference to "Always ask" and see if you can get the file to open it in this way.

    (3) delete the file from your application's preferences (it is sometimes damaged) and try again. Note: these are only the preferences for which applications manage what types of content, not all your Firefox preferences.

    To do this:

    (i) open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using

    Help > troubleshooting information > "view file" button.

    (ii) switch back to Firefox and the output. Your Windows Explorer window should go back to the foreground. Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup.

    (iii) and rename the mimeTypes.rdf something like mimeTypes.old

    (iv) restart Firefox. It is likely you will default to 'Preview in Firefox' and I hope that the paths for Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat will now be correct if you choose one of those.

    A little luck?

  • Difference b/w reading synchronous file and read the file adapter Service

    Can someone tell me the difference between synchronous file read the service and the service of simple reading of the file adapter functions.

    where exactly do we use the synchronous file service? Please give me some example of scenario where we can use file synchronous read characteristic of service...

    Synchronous reading is used for playback of files mid process. People tend to use for consuming files based on a business rule. You can specify which files you want to read. An example of this would be an an email is sent telling the faile abc.csv has been downloaded. The BPEL process shuts down gets it. You can also cheange the location of the file dynamically in the process as well.

    Using the file adapter is used to call a process so when a file is placed in a place the BPEL process is called. It is most commonly used.
