  You can also record sound using the microphone jack on the front of your laptop (line). Then, you can connect a Microphone or your guitar to this jack and record music using software like Audacity recording for example.

  When secure Web (those using SSL) pages contain content from sources non - SSL, Internet Explorer 8 and 9 ask if you want to show only the content that has been delivered safely. I could not find a prompt similar to Firefox. I know three possible explanations:
  1 Firefox offers no protection against the mixed content. I hope that this is not the case!
  2 Firefox has a setting that I have not found.
  3 Firefox can offer protection but in a different way than Internet Explorer.

  Firefox is not and can not block content through an unsecured connection to come in this case, but you can get a warning.

  The settings for warning messages have been removed from the UI (Bug 513166).

• Photo Source other than Facebook/Twitter?

  My syncs to gmail account with my OSX address book. Both have a collection of photos that I have accumulated over the past 10 years for each of my contacts. On my Google Nexus One, I could use these images to show against the contacts, when people call me, etc. On the Droid X, I can only select Facebook or Twitter as a source of image. What's not here?

• Is it possible to import metadata into the prelude to a source file that is created in one program other than Live Journal?

  I'm looking to connect 12 football with Prelude games TV shows so it will be easier to find clips of archive in the future. I hope I do not have to log the 3 hours more games manually if I can. I have an xml file of the game on our application of statistics for each game. If I could only import the XML data into prelude, it would be a considerable time saving on full manual logging files. All the tutorials, I watched it seems that you can only import metadata from XMP files created by the on-line Logger iPad app. Is there a way to convert another type of XMP file appropriate to import them into prelude? Or any other work around for import data?

  You can convert your XML in XMP file - then that import directly as a prelude with no associated metadata Panel. But prelude has no built in conversion tools to switch your XML in XMP format.  Writing a translator script is possible, however, if you have the inclination and the time. As long as the end result is formatted metadata XMP prelude can import and apply the cue points in the appropriate places to you.

• Import notes from PowerPoint or PPT changing environments

  I would like to import only notes from a PowerPoint slide show. I did the initial storyboard in PowerPoint and am now design/development shaped in Captivate 4 and need the notes, but not necessarily the slides.

  I tried to import all PPT slides in Captivate, then I thought that I could simply remove/change the background resulting (I thought that he turned it into a background). But I can't seem to change it. So I tried to delete everything except the notes in PPT first, then important that. Now my background said "Animation" with size; "(X:0 and page Y:0). »

  I searched this forum and found something that Captivate 4 says any slides as animations, no origins, but I'm not really understand what that means. I can't change the animation/background, resulting in something and keep intact notes?

  Any other ideas how do this other than to copy and paste the notes manually?

  Hello, I am aware that this is not possible. Presentation PowerPoint, imported into Captivate, are indeed of animation backgrounds (keeping any setting animation to ppt), not normal. Notes are imported as slide notes. But you can't change the slide as you would with a normal background. Take a look at the library: the entire presentation is present as a single object, and if you don't have any other slide that imported or embedded in Powerpoint slides, you won't have any background.

  I looked a little for a workaround, but I'm sorry, could not find anything at the moment. For you, I hope someone has a bright idea.

  Why Microsoft removed the ability for Windows Vista to install on herself from one location other than being inside the BONE you want to repair.

  I recently had a problem where Vista Business 64-bit would only boot to a black screen with a mobile cursor - KSOD.   Who, in searching the Web I found is a fairly common problem with Vista.  I discovered that my only option was about to reinstall Vista CLEAN and all the other programs I had installed under it.  I can't believe that Microsoft released the 'repair installation option"similar to that of Windows XP, where you can hit the"R"key during installation and we left with nothing but the"System Restore"options and"Startup Repair ".  Neither of which has helped in my situation.  Since then, this was a dual system boot with XP Pro, then any restore point has been removed from the partition to Vista anytime, I started another recognized problem, by Microsoft, which Microsoft has made no significant effort to fix, in addition to recommending that you hide the partion Vista in XP - a whole of XP.  That beats a little the entire purpose of dual boot.

  As I tried to start in safe mode, it left me at the same point as a normal boot - black screen with a cursor.  I tried ctrl + alt + delete and nothing. Two Windows RE options did not help me.  This left me no option but to the completely reinstall Vista.   Why Microsoft did remove the ability for Windows Vista to install on herself from one location other than being inside the BONE you want to repair.. Please don't tell me that it is because Vista uses an image file instead of an installation as XP system.   I see no other reason for not allowing the upgrade of outside BONE in addition to Microsofts greed and paranoia that he can transform the operating system easier to install illegally.  I hope that some third party has actually changed the Vista installation routine to allow you to install Vista on itself, because as it is, it's really hard for me to even recommend Vista as the operating system or install any where else, if not the only recourse after loading OS, is to reinstall completely.

  Adobe, Autodesk, and almost all other software publishers... allow you to perform a "REPAIR" of their software installation, if something prevents you to load after installation.  Even MS Office has a routine repair.  Ms has an internal version of the Setup routine which allows outside the OS upgrade option that you want to "Upgrade" / repair? ".  If not, why?

  Then, you were lucky.  Try to replace the system files on a computer that does not start even at a desk or safe mode usually will get a return to office, but will probably repeat the same problem in a few weeks.  Tech professional would only use this function to retrieve the data before a complete reinstallation.

  My question is, although quite stupid, that double

  (1) I have to change the permissions of the directory oracle of 755 for any other user to access the sqlplus?

  (2) why is the user directory under the folder created with permissions of 700, even when the umask is set to 002? Change the permissions of the directory under/Home oracle will cause security problems?

  My apologies for being naïve. It's the first time I installed Oracle under UNIX

  Actually, the default procedure is NOT to install oracle to X11R6, but in/opt/oracle. or maybe/usr/local/oracle.

  This is what you're going to be recommended in the installation documentation, and in doing so, don't forget to run rootpre.sh and root.sh, I never had security problems and could run Oracle from any account.

  Open Acrobat Reader DC, navigate to the Edit-> Preferences-> General-> uncheck "Open Documents in the new tab in the same window.

  Now, reboot your system, when you open multiple PDFs that all will open in a new window so that you can easily compare.
