Import of Aperture

How can I get a copy of Maverics for again my opening to allow the importation?

LAperture won't work if I had already downloaded El Capitan?

I have to do something special to download Maverics or remove El Capitan?

I use Aperture 3.5.1 on an iMac 27 ".

Thank you, Mickey

I forgot how to import an Aperture album in a photo album. I exported the album but this is a library.

My goal is to import albums with key words, original, etc. in a photo album.

Drag the Aperture exported with your book on the Photos icon in the Dock library.  Photos will create a new library of Photos in the Aperture library.

You can not import the Aperture library into an existing photo library, only to migrate to a separate photo library.

  • I don't want to use pictures. How can I import into Aperture and work around the Photos?

I don't want to use Photos, but when I try to import photos from my camera to the opening, the computer switches me to the Photos automatically.  How can I avoid this and just stay with Aperture?

At the launch of Photos, select the camera in the sidebar of the Import the import panel Panel.  Clear the check mark 'Open pictures for this device'. The next time you connect your camera, Photos should not, launch if you use the same card and do not reformat the card.

And at the opening, turn on preference:

  • Lightroom 6 - import of Aperture is lack of face recognition

    Hello

After migrating my photos on my Mac to Aperture, Lightroom 6 I noticed that importation of images and folders work, but it lacks of face recognition. It is very annoying because I had hundreds of people marked in Aperture. So my question is: is it possible to also import the results of facial recognition Aperture LR 6 and if so how do you?

    Best regards

    Hi Lysander,

Recognition of the faces of the opening will be imported as keyword in Lightroom.

Please check the following link once, for what information gets imported and which are not: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/aperture-import-plug-in-lightroom-faq.html

  • Damaged files when they are imported into Aperture. An Adobe tool or function appears 'corrupt '!

    Hello

I use to work with sweet Apple Aperture for my library photos. As know, or maybe Apple stopped support and update of the opening. Bad news.

So, I decided to try Lightroom.

A tool or function in Lightroom is dedicated to import masters from may Aperture library.

BUT it does not work very well!

Some masters of 2348 (JPEG files) are classified in a folder named "Notimported". And best, they are damaged! But the real opening files are OK, for on:

I thought that master real Aperture were really damaged, but an analysis tool they are really OK?

What can I do? That helps Adobe can give me to get in the Lightroom "Master Library" (in terms of files) these 2348 files?

And I'm starting to believe that this specific feature Adobe Lightroom or the tool is "corrupted". And I need to work with these files, 2348. Not bad!

    So Adobe please help me!

    Best regards

    Pascal

BAD NEWS: The files are also lost in the opening. No backup.

Can I have the name of the files I tried what you suggested.

    2348 Lost.

Not much to do except revorery data with a specialist. The tool I used to check they were Ok seems unreliable. Or I do not know how to use it.

    Thus,.

    It's nighttime in Paris.

    Best regards

  • Lightroom CC imported from Aperture and folder structure ignored

I recently migrated to Apple Aperture 3.6 to Lightroom CC on my MacBook Pro 15 "10.10.3 running. I left the original referenced files in place on an external hard drive. All imported Lightroom with success, including using my Aperture libraries as sets. Unfortunately and frustrating, it imported each folder in my hierarchy carefully maintained as only the name of the worksheet.

For example, I have a folder with personal family photos stored on a hard drive named "PhotoMasters.

So as personal, were records for each year, in each year folder for each month and each month of the folders for each day.

I had the same structure to the professional title for paid shoots.

Now in Lightroom, I see an entry for each day.

    LightroomStructure1.jpg

I choose the option for the folder root to display 'path of Volume", which sorts them at least correctly, but I still have a separate line for each record sheet.

    LighroomStructure2.jpg

The files are properly organized on the hard drive, is it possible to have Lightroom uses the structure of file correctly?

BTW, the actual Aperture import/migration took about 30 hours of work, and that does not move the original images, as well as bonus points for a solution that doesn't require me to restart this process!

    Thank you!

After a lot of searching around, I was able to discover the cause and solution. Apparently, in previous versions of Lightroom, there was a feature called "Add Parent folder" who moved to the display in Control Panel folder up one level. In Lightroom CC, this is what is called "Show Parent Folder" and she several applications of the command has allowed me to get a folder structure like what I expected.

  • Images imported from Aperture appear 'washed out' in Lightroom.

I am aware that Lightroom is using ProPhoto RGB. When I export images from Aperture in a folder and then import them into Lightroom the images appear very different. Is there a setting I'm missing the images seem "washed" in Lightroom. When I export to the desktop and open it in Photoshop, they look the same as in the opening. After I import into Lightroom and opened in Photoshop they seem always washed out.

New in Lightroom and try to find the right alternative to opening.

    Thanks in advance.

You are probably right, there is a problem with color profiles and range.  Opening uses a different raw converter, which will create some variation.  In fact, a lot like the look of straight opening raw format conversions on straight conversions from ACR.  But if the washed-out look is dramatic and Photoshop opens your correct raw files, then it must be a matter of profile.

It can help to explain how you export from Aperture.  Are your source files, raw, PSD, TIFF, or JPEG files?   Are the masters-exporter you, or you export versions?  If you export versions, take a look at your "source preset" when exporting.  What color profile you integrate?

Although if you include any color profile, Photoshop and Lightroom must pick up.

Everything I read is that Lightroom handles the profiles more transparent than Photoshop, but maybe someone could go on here and tell how it is managed.

Finally, what purpose export you and import in Lightroom?  If you are migrating your library to a Lightroom Catalog, you can better served by using the plug-in migration opening.

    Opening import plugin now available

The plug-in still has problems with foreign characters, import all the previews and face previews Keywords and keywording.  You will be better to wait until these problems are resolved.  Even if you can not, the plugin still would be a better option than a manual attempt, unless you do something else than the migration of your Aperture library.

  • Missing Photos after importation of Aperture

    Hello!

I did just the opening switch to Lightroom and I use version 1.1 of the plugin import Aperture.

I have in my Aperture library, according to library-> Photos: Photos of 11105, however after import in Lightroom, I only 10967 photos. I checked the import log and there are 4 items that could import - 3 were files .mpo (panoramas of a xPeria) and 1 was a .gif file. That leaves a deficit of 133 photos that I can't explain.

Is it possible to compare the aperture library to the lightroom library to see what is missing?

Hope you find your system developed problems.

I ended up exporting from successful to referenced.  First of all, I collapsed all of my folders nested in a single folder in Aperture, and then exported using a personal file FOLDER/PROJECT format, where the record was of the year, or the YEAR in JAPAN, where I had several nested projects.  Fast forward after the conversion, I then re-nested folder structure.

After you export all the photos of successful to referenced, I then used all the normal gymnastics in the opening to make sure that all images have been exported and 'online '.  About 15 were not, then I need to resolve these differences, which included duplicate references, mainly.  Once exported, I generated previews.  You're not dealing with previews, so I'll spare you the even longer discussion about how I needed to account for them.  In light of all of the files are external, it is easier to determine which files have not been imported into Lightroom.  I didn't have an anomaly.

Make sure you don't have duplicate keywords!  I thought I had, but due to the nature of nested keywords, I had a few references duplicated as 'portrait', I had used to mark the initial orientation of the photo, as well as the keyword Aperture stock.  Made a mess of things later.

Despite the hardships, even in running through the entire library before, I found myself running out of memory AND problems with the GPS.  I ended up using HoudahGeo to create files sidecar with GPS of opening data prior to importation.  After trying everything, I used a dark suggestion to run import on a build of Mac OS X instead of 10.10.3 10.9.4.  That seemed to do the trick.

A lot of things to clean up afterwards, but I can just leave it as what.  Wish that the faces are exportable now that Lightroom supports the faces, but I won't hold my breath.  Appears opening Adobe plug-in development is concluded.  Tens of thousands of assignments in Aperture.

Also sad to lose settings, but at least I have the keyword each parameter before exporting.

Almost all of the work must be done in the opening before the transition.  You watch just how flexible and versatile opening is still today.

Always curious to know how you will manage your conversion, so please keep posting!

  • "Import of Aperture library...". "(and"import iPhoto Library... ") options are disabled

Brand new installation of Lightroom, latest version and opening even perfectly up-to-date.  Catalog new, empty.  Tried to create a second catalog anyway, which made no difference.  Deactivating and reactivating the plugin makes no difference.

"Opening import Info...". "(equivalent of iPhoto and one) are the only ones available, in this submenu.  And clicking on either just brings up a dialog box indicating falsely that the import has already taken place.

Capture One stop instead, I guess.

Please go to the Applications folder and then uninstall Lightroom from the LR folder.

Install and update the Application from the following link: keeping up-to-date for Lightroom

  • Importation of folders as projects in Aperture 3.6

Surprised in the impossibility to import into Aperture suite path 'file - import - folders as projects' from an external drive (actually an old generation 2 TB Time Capsule used wireless as a network disc;) MacBook Pro can see it and open the pictures in preview; at the opening, it seems as if the folder was empty). While this has always worked in the past, it is the first time I try to import after the last update of El Capitan. Could this last be causing the problem?

    Thank you for your attention.

This is a strange behavior.  When I select a folder with images folders on my Time Capsule, opening display subfolders under vacuum in the import Panel, but when I select the folder it will import all subfolders with photos nevertheless.  Have you tried that?

For example, the "testbilder" subfolder contains nine image files and all will be imported correctly, when I select the KopieIVCFilme folder to import.

Hepatitis has checked the import settings, if nothing is excluded from the import?   If nothing will be imported at all, check these settings:

I made a lot of corrections of colors and cultures already on my iPhone but when I import into Aperture to are not on the whole. Is there a

to apply these settings to imported pictures

    Dave

Import photos first of all in the Photos.app.  Photos can apply the. Files of the EFA.

In this way, the changes will be applied.

The Photos.app has an option 'Add to the opening' in the menu to share, who will forward the versions published in the opening.

  • With Aperture Plug-in to import... can I just return to if I had to leave the initial process of 7%

I import my Aperture library through a hard drive external (WD My Passport for Mac... to an another DHM (Toshiba 2 t).)  I have a new Macbook Pro with the subscription of the CC photography.  I started yesterday evening but had to stop so I can start and it will go pick up where it left off?

    Hi lyndav,

You can't take it back to the last step.

You can delete the previous imported images and then start the import operation again.

Or, you can start the import process.

  • Import Aperture library to LR (10 of Windows).  Cannot select the library - treated as a folder!

    Hi all

I'm trying to import my Aperture (about 15 images of k) on Windows 10 LR library.  I copied the library directly from the Finder to an external HD and from there to my hard drive of the PC.  When I browser in the library, it is considered to be a folder rather than a file.  This means that when I click on library.aplibrary to open, the button is 'Open' and that selecting this bore until the next level of the subfolder, rather that select the import library.

Any suggestions?  Is there something I need to do to prepare it for export at the library on the Mac?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi TrudeBordello,

You would not be able to import the Aperture library on the Windows computer in Lightroom, because the Plugin is designed to read in the library on Mac.

Please follow the document: Help. Import photos from iPhoto and Aperture (Mac OS)

Then I suggest you to import the Lightroom library records.
