import of audio books

I added some books in my library, instead of going in the audio books folder, they entered the folder of songs, how to change that or move them to the folder of audio books?

    Hello

I have some old Audio books on CD that I started to import into iTunes.  I noticed that iTunes brings me multiple options for track/CD info, but basically, it was a guessing game about which are the good, because there has been no consistent naming conventions.  Thus, for example, I have an audio book that spans 22 discs.  I imported all the, but they all appear with the names of the different tracks.  Some are alpha digital and some more descriptive.  All say the # appropriate on 22, but they don't are not all part of one album or compilation.

I would really like to know how to clean it.  Any ideas?

    Thank you

Go read the information, click on the 'Options' tab, then change the drop-down list of "sort of media" to "Music" to "Audiobook". That worked for me, I hope that it helps you also.

  • Is an mp3 player or how to turn the audio book format diminishes the quality of the mp3?

For some reason any two albums I've bought off iTunes and uploaded to iTunes without problem onto my iPhone. I turned them in audio book format. The quality of the file is important. I think they are in 320 Kbps. This quality will decrease once in an audio book format?

N ° you are simply changing the file extension.

If you're worried, try it first on a copy.

  • Do I need an additional access point to use my iPod touch for audio books? It's using iOS 9.3

Do I need an additional access point to use my iPod touch to listen to audio books.  The iPod is on iOS 9.3 and my iMac on OS 10.11.4.  I can get the books from the library using the OverDrive Media Console software, then by moving the iTunes audio book using 'add to library '.  Then, it presents itself in music and can be downloaded from there to the iPod.  The audio book also appear in the section music from iPod.  The problem is, most of the time, no list of book sections appear on the iPod and the iPod plays sections in random order instead of sequentially.  I can't find anything in the guide of the user on audio books.

  • Audio books are in 2 places on iTunes

A summarized set of audio books are in my iTunes Playlist "On My Device', those who would be those that I recently added. A more complete list, more than 700 books, are included in the summary of the topic audiobooks to iTunes. Unfortunately, when I check the books I want to download on my iPod, it accesses books from two sources and one in the Audible icon and the other place in the icon the playlist of music on my iPod.

    Using Win7, v64, HPTouchSmart610.  iTunes 12.0.12.6 iPod Nano

I was wondering if my download folder is directing the iTunes Media incorrectly, that happened when we converted the last pc. I had to correct all these books by hand (which was tedious, but necessary).  Also look for iPad and iPhone, but do not use those 5 sec sound

This problem has arisen in the last three months.  (BTW, we've never used "Sync only checked songs and videos" and create Playlists to manage content).

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Where an asset appears in iTunes is determined by the media Type setting for each item.  Audio files from an external source (imported into iTunes) can get imported as songs (music), as iTunes does not know that they are audio books.  I do not understand your description of the problem, but if some of your audio books in your library of iTunes, not your library of books music audio iTunes, that's the problem.  And they will also appear on the iPod as songs, when synchronized.

If you have a large number of audio books that appear in your library iTunes music, a convenient way to fix them all at the same time is to create a new playlist and add all the audio books (which are currently considered songs) to the playlist.  In the playlist, select any item and do a select all (Ctrl-A keyboard OR menu bar Edition-> select All).  Right-click on the selection and information.  On the window information from several element, click the Options tab.  Change media kind in audiobook, then OK.  All selected items should now appear in your audiobooks to iTunes library.

NOTE: Depending on how sync you media on your iPod, you may need to remove affected audio books on your iPod first and then re - add (after they are ordered by iTunes as audio books).

If you are not able to change the Type of media, please after return.

    Hello

Reset Windows Media DRM has allowed little to solve similar problems.

Reset Windows Media DRM by deleting all files in the Windows Media DRM folder. Note that the Windows Media DRM folder is a hidden system folder. To view hidden folders and files, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start and then click my computer.
    b. on the Tools menu, click on Folder Options and then click the view tab.
    c. click Show files and folders and then click to clear the Hide protected operating system files check box.

Location of the Windows Media DRM folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM

If you can't find the Windows Media DRM folder, the exact location of the folder on the computer is stored in the following registry key. Ensure that this key points to a valid path:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DRM\DataPath

Note By default, the path is displayed in binary format. To view the path to plain text, double-click DataPath. In the Edit binary value dialog box, the path is displayed in the right column.

  • Sort order for multi-CD audio books

Hello world. I read through some past discussions on the sorting of tracks and albums and have not been able to solve my problem. I have a 12 CD Audiobook; each CD has 99 tracks (ugh). All are taken from my computer and copied on a 8 GB MicroSDHC card. Sorry for the long post; hoping to capture as much detail as possible. My OS is Win XP. It is a rocket 4 GB with the troublesome file stored on 8 GB MicroSDHC card. Rocket is set to MTP and I moved the files via Windows Explorer... trained on my hard drive to the SDHC card (I did this twice; once while he was in the rocket and once while it is in the card reader).

    I used MP3Tag as follows:

    • File name AND title are on: book title disc 01 track 01, sequential numbering up to book title 01 99 of track record. Then we begin with the title of the book disc 02 track 01, etc all the way as a book drive 12 track 99
    • In MP3Tag, I used the Auto numbering Assistant to number the headings, including leading zeros, as 0001/1188 (this change has been made while the card was in the "rocket"; the first passage to the numbering on the hard disk, added only one zero, and I thought that could be the problem, so I ran the wiz autodial again while the card was in the "rocket").
    • Contributing artist, artist and Album name are the SAME (no drive included number) for each 12 discs... use MP3Tag to achieve
    • Removed the YEAR and the DISCNUMBER using MP3Tag.
    • All tracks are marked by the kind of AUDIO book (again using MP3Tag). They appear in the correct order on the hard drive of my computer, and read the SD via Windows Explorer, they appear in the correct order. However, when I browse audio books on my rocket, the sort order is out of whack. Systematically, it starts with title of book disc 11 track 11, is moving forward to drive 12, 99 of track, then disc 01, track 01. The rest seems to be in the right order.
    • Shots from the top of the window of MP3Tag, the file (in order) as the "rocket" 'sees' the first track (1001 to follow in the order, so it is important) screen my choices of dialogue can be seen here:

Other audio books are marked in this way and appear in the correct order... but none of the others has more than 9 discs. Thanks for all the ideas. It drives me crazy! : PEI

Just an update... as suggested by miltst, I made some changes on the base (on my HD) and then copied to the SD card files. The only changes I made were to change the numbering DO NOT track to track the total number of titles; I even added zeros. Once I moved their map SD, the sort order is correct. Hooray! Don't know what did - change the HD or changing the numbering of the beaches, but whatever it is, it works.

    Thank you!

  • iTunes deleted 12.5.1.21 options of reading audio books

Just updated iTunes to version 12.4.3.1 on Windows 10 PC 12.5.1.21

Before the update, there are two options for reading audio books: remember the playback position and jump when brewing.  (to find these, select Get info on the audio book and choose the tab options).

In the new update, these two check boxes have been removed. I hope that the answer is because there is little (or not) users who wouldn't never want these options, and the developers of iTunes just hardcoded these options in the metadata file.

So what is the reason for their removal? If the options are always available at the place where have they been moved?

I see these options, but cannot change them and the media type is set to Audiobook. Setting Media type for music and applying, then find the article, options and change the type of media to Audiobook works but is a bit lengthy. Use iTunes Feedback or Apple Bug Reporter to Apple let know.

  • I can't get an audio book to transfer to my ipod7

How can I transfer an audio book to my ipod nano 7 of my main computer

If you want to use the Auto Sync (instead of dragging the items to iPod manually in iTunes), find the iPod touch device in iTunes.  The screenshot below shows the upper left corner of my iTunes window, with touch iPod in red circle

Click this buttonto display the settings of the iPod summary screen in the iTunes window.  Along the left side, in the sidebar, under settings, click on audio books.  To the right, the parameters of audiobooks on the iPod screen.

Check the box of the books audio Sync.  This enables the automatic synchronization of audio books.  You can choose to synchronize all of the audio books, or a part of the selection .  Implement this screen as you want, and then click apply.  Go ahead, iTunes automatically updated iPod when you connect (or click sync , if already connected), to keep 'in phase' with your library of audio books (or the selected part).

NOTE: If you want songs to be on the iPod too, in the sidebar of the iPod, under settings, click on music.  Similarly set up screen settings of music from iPod (and apply).

  • Shuffle playback audio books out of use

The last two weeks, my Shuffle plays my Audible audio books out of order. They appear clearly labeled as part 1, part 2, etc... However, they end up playing in random order. I tried to do a playlist out of parts, but that did not help or the other.

The Shuffle is nearly three years. I use about 30 hours a week. Is it just the time for a new?

Last week, I bought a Nano, but even after 10 hours of changing the iTunes settings, support Windows 10 settings, chatting with Apple, and try various bugs found on various forums on Apple, I couldn't make it work. The problem with the Shuffle might be related?

The problem with the Shuffle might be related?

Hard to say without more details on the problem using the iPod nano.

For the shuffle, you should try to do a restore on the computer, using iTunes.  The problem may be caused by alteration of the data on the shuffle.  Restore erases the shuffle, reinstall its software and sets it to the default settings.  Try to synchronize your audio books again after the restoration.  The restore button is on the recapitulation of the shuffle settings screen in iTunes.
