Import of PDF files

I know how to import a PDF file so that it transforms the PDF in a topic, but I want to import the real pdf. For example, if you use the Robohelp help system (.air format) and click on a pdf link, it opens the PDF within the air framework and allows that you read here. That's what I want to do, but I can't understand how to include pdf in my project files, such as when I use 8 HR to create an AIR application, pdf files will be included and assembled as part of the subjects. Thanks for your help.

Hello

In your Pod of the region or project manager, you should see what we call 'baggage files. " Sometimes you change the view to display the baggage files. Or if you just click you will see New > file of baggage. The goal is to get the PDF file included in a file of baggage. Then, you can link to it so that it opens in PDF format.

I am uncertain if or how while the action may work in the AIR output however. Seems I saw a recent forum post where someone has problems, a PDF of the AIR opening.

See you soon... Rick

    Import a PDF file:

As I said before, you import PDF images files. You can use the same path than with images: drag and drop, D, file-> Place

Please pay attention to the 'options import' as you can choose between different "cultures": Bounding Box, Art, Trim, bleed, media.

For a multiple page PDF, you can choose the page or page range. Etc.

Nicolas said the "PlaceMultipagePdf" script that you will find in the window-> Utilities-> scripts Panel. Get off at samples-> JavaScript

This script updates the Pdf pages on a new page. Try, if you are tempted to import a multi-page PDF document.

As I said before, you can also import other InDesign files. These editable resident files, i.e. you can open and change what must be changed and the imported file will be updated like any other document bound, as Illustrator documents for example...

Since these files are regarded as "graphics" (equivalent to Illustrator data files), they can't be changed inside InDesign.

  • How you import a PDF file in Microsoft Office 2007 with Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional

I recently downloaded the trial version of Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional and want to import a PDF file in Word and be able to make changes to the document.  I know that this can be down with earlier versions of Adobe Acrobat Professional.  An advisor to do with version 9?

It just stated that you use Save as to export it in a DOC file. You would then open the DOC file in WORD. You can make minor changes to the PDF directly in Acrobat, but WORD have no capabilities - a totally different PDF editing document structure. As far as Acrobat goes, the process is save it as process. If you ask about WORD, you need to ask in a forum of MS WORD, but the answer is probably that it's impossible. WORD does not translate a PDF to WORD document, although it might allow it as an image.

  • Import a PDF file to PDF

OK, call me crazy, but with the integration of Macromedia and Adobe, I find it funny that I can't find a way to import a PDF file into a PDF document in a RoboHelp project.

There is an "Import PDF" option, but instead of doing what I would like to what to do, simply copy the PDF file to the project directory and I have links to it, it creates rather a subject HTML and tries, is the best to store the formatting. Unfortunately, the formatting of the document it creates is an extraction far from the original PDF file.

I'd rather keep the PDF I have and rig a way so it copies on each translation.

    ... any ideas?

(Note - I'm not that the document Word moose.)

  • Color variation when you import a PDF file with transparency masks

Hi, I have a CC PDF Illustrator with multiple pages and multiple spot colors defined by the user and on some pages of an element containing the mask transparency.

The problem with color deviation between the pages with and without the object that contains the tx masks as they are imported into InDesign.

Looking at the page in InDesign with the described object, color chart, imported from Illustrator no longer correspond to any PDF file.

Without the mask tx, correspond to the Illustrator PDF color chart color placed in the shade in InDesign.

    What is going on?

Unlike Illustrator, InDesign can support RGB and CMYK colors in the same document. If InDesign won't change the colors of your Illustrator object placed as long as there is no transparency on the spread.

When transparency is applied to the spread, all objects have to 'mix' by using the same color space. I think that this is necessary if the transparency must be flattened as it should be for many printers. InDesign uses the color set under Edition space > space of merger of transparency to determine the color space. By default, it is a print CMYK document.

  • How can I save/import a pdf file received the email on an Ipad in MyAssets (cloud creative) so I can edit it in Adobe Sketch?

I need to edit pdf files (scanned) from different people, change in Adobe sketch and e mail the PDF with changes in return. This must be done using only an Ipad.

The problem is that I can't do so only using an Ipad, because I do not know how to open the mail PDF in Adobe Sketch. So I need a computer to place the PDF in MyAssets on creative cloud first. I also installed dobe CD player and placed the file in the clouds of the Document, because I thought that the Document and the designer Cloud cloud would somehow between them. But no luck so far.

If I ask someone who knows a way to do it, to explain it to me.

    Thank you

    Hi Lukearh,

my penny on this issue. I'm starting to a point that the file is easily traceable. Like a sketch of a logo or something.

The pdf file arrives on an ipad, right? So, open the PDF and take a screenshot of the file if it is open (which is done by clicking at the same time the sleep button on the top and the button on the screen of your ipad at home). Then you will have your PDF saved in your camera as an image.

Once on film, then open adobe sketch and use use the icon to import an image second icon to the left, in the sketch menu, it looks like a picture with two mountains and the Sun). Resize the screen and work top of tracing.

Now I could give you a very naïve solution, but the only way I could find to solve your problem if you really work on iPad only

  • How to import a PDF file with objects of the typewriter?

I have a .pdf file saved with text created by the typewriter tool. When I import the .pdf in InDesign (I use CS4), typewriter text disappears in the InDesign document. I can't find any preferences or settings in Acrobat or InDesign which solves this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, it absolutely to degrade the quality of the placed PDF!

Re-create the PDF file by distilling the PDF PostScript flattens transparency all and converts the colors (that's another flattening as the flattening of the annotations and form fields). It's a lossy operation that gives results of lower quality including seams of transparency, color issues problems and potential problems of fonts.

There is another way, a bit simpler flatten annotations and form fields in Acrobat Pro using the preflight check mechanism. Use the profile of correction flatten annotations and form fields upstream! This works without any Javascript or other changes in the PDF file.

    Like this better?

  • Can you import PDF files into other software?

I'm looking to see if there is a software that allows you to push data from a PDF file, software special. I use the accounting software and it would save my company a lot of time if our PDF invoices could be pushed into Quickbooks or converted in order to enter into our system without having to type in it.

    any suggestions?

The previous answer is just a little - if everyone uses the same format, etc etc, it would be fairly simple to import PDF files into other software. But alas, everyone sends a different format.

But there are there tools that work well. But they have limits. The tools work best if you have some layouts that you want to import (IE a known provider set). So, you need a reasonable volume of each - if not then just enter the data will be more effective.

Try looking at ChimpKey who do a good job of importing a PDF file. He does this by converting the PDF to XML, Excel, CSV etc. which will import properly in various popular software. If you have a good amount of data entry, then this approach certainly you will save time and money.

  • Problem when I import a .pdf to Photoshop.

Hello, I have a problem when I import some .pdf files in photoshop. When I insert the .pdf, it is inserted as an object dynamic and everything goes fine until I place the object. After that, the whole image changes from black to gray. Can someone help me solve this problem? I have attached the images before and after, for a better understanding.

    Untitled12.jpg

    Untitled1.jpg

Everything works fine and on Windows. When the scale down of the document (as you say 1980 x 1080) lines will look grey even at 100% view. It is nothing wrong because technical reason and the way that the application performs calculation. Scaling is not simply remove a few pixels and leaving others, calculation will be made: white pixels are removed, but the remaining pixels will be mixed with the color that fell and that's why see you gray (black and white mixed). If you would like the sleek black then double place twice dynamic object (or layer in the open document). If you do not want many layers your layers panel can convert several smart objects (select all SORT of layers and then go to the layer > Smart Objects > convert to smart object) or merge layers duplicated all in one (selects all double layers and then click on the layer > merge layers).

When place or open the document in the original format, the lines will look pure black only to a certain level of magnification (100%). If you fit the screen then lines will look grey because technical reason: document should be scaled down.
