  I have created a merge document and mail merge in word using an excel sheet spread as a data source.  Initially, no sign of £ showed in the document among other formatting problems.  I have (finally) found help explaining that I should use MS Excel via a DDE data sheets - I tried this but it seems to corrupt the data so that the column that contains say '1 names' contains "price data", "address" line contains the data of 'comments', making the e-mail merge nonsense.

  If you use an alternative data source is CBO or something all NFL results (which wasn't shown on the worksheet) appear in the mail merge '0' both are unacceptable.

  Surely I'm not the only person to meet these challenges is the software never tested before being sold where is the help manual, I tried to use the online help but will not accept my product key.  All solutions provide the most basic assistance but my documents are fairly complex something computers should be good.  I lost most of today on this.  Sometimes I think it would be faster to type these longhand things than to use a Microsoft product.

• I need to transfer data from multiple cells in an excel worksheet to the computer another excel worksheet.

  I have a program for the acquisition of data on computer #1 (not labview) who writes in an excel sheet to spread and I would have a line of data transferred to a different excel worksheet that runs labview (computer #2) on the same network. I would like to make this transfer of data either on the network or another method to connect these two computers (they are two feet apart). I'm not sure datasocket would help, because it seems that data to move must be written for datasocket in labview.  My other alternative is to write the drivers for the device that provides the data for computer #1. This is news to me, because the user does not want to abandon the non-labview on #1 program.

  I would write a LabVIEW VI to read Excel files on the computer n ° 1 and publish the data in a variable that is shared on the network.

  Hi, I have a Windows PC 5.7 Lightroom Catalog (all images are on 2 external drive on 200 000 photos) and a new catalog on my MacBook Pro (all images on an another external drive only 4 000 images).  I want to merge the catalog PC on my MacBook.  Does anyone do this? You can share procedures with me?

  You must copy the catalog on your PC hard disk external > connect this external drive for MacBook and merge this catalog with your MacBook.

  To copy, you can copy directly the .lrcat of your PC hard disk external.

  I'm using labview in 2011 and I don't have the tolkit of report generation. My software create 3 or 4 excel files separately. Is there a way to combine all those who Excel in an excel (take the spreadsheet of all the excel files and merge them together into the new excel file...)

  You do that your spreadsheet with historical data is not the active worksheet? That would erase your previous test data and put the new test data in its place.

  The simplest approach is a workflow similar to this:

  (1) check if Excel file exists

  1A) If this is the case, create a new worksheet

  1 (b) if it is not, create a new Excel workbook

  (2) adding data

  (3) save the report

  (4) report close

  The report generation tool has screws that do everything most of these functions. To check if the file exists, it is in a separate palette.

• Using .split on an import script with a comma delimited data file

  Hi everyone-

  Any attempt to create a script to import amount field to remove the apostrophes (') of a description field to account in a .csv data import file (any folder with an apostrophe will be rejected during the import phase).  Now if it was a file delimited by semicolons (or other separators and more by commas), I could remove all the apostrophes recording with a string.replace command, then return the amount with a command of string.split.  Unfortunately, there is a problem with this solution when using comma delimiters. My data file is comma-delimited .csv file with several amount fields that have commas in them.   Even if the fields are surrounded in quotes, the .split ignores the quotes and treats the commas in fields amount as delimiters.  Therefore, the script does not return the correct amount field.

  Here is an example of a record of reference data:

  "", "0300-100000", "description of the account with an apostrophe ' ', '$1 000.00",' $1 000.00 "," $1 000.00 ","$1 000.00"," $1 000,00 "" "

  My goal is to remove the apostrophes from field 3 and return the amount in field 8.

  Some things to note:

  • If possible, I would like to keep this as an import script for amounted to simplify administration - but am willing to undertake the event script BefImport if this is the only option or more frank than the import script-based solution.
  • I tried using regular expressions, as seems to be conceptually the simplest option to respect the quotes as escape character, but think that I am not implementing properly and impossible to find examples of regex for FDMEE.
  • I know that we cannot use the jython csv on import the script by Francisco blog post - fishing with FDMEE: import scripts do not use the same version of Jython as event/Custom scripts (PSU510). This may be a factor to go with a script of the event instead.
  • It's probably a little more engineering solution, but I have considered trying to write a script to determine where to start all the quotes and the end.  Assuming that there are no quotation marks on the inside of my description of account (or I could remove them before that), I could then use the positioning of the quotes to remove commas inside those positions - leaving the commas for the delimiters as is.  I could then use the .split as the description/amount fields have no commas.  I think it may be better to create a script of the event rather than down this solution from the point of view to keep administration as simple as possible
  • Yes, we could do a search and replace in the excel file to remove the apostrophes before import, but it's no fun

  Hi Dan,.

  If your line is delimited by comma and quote qualified, you can consider the delimiter as QuoteCommaQuote or ', ' because it comes between each field.  Think about it like that, then simply divided by this value:

  The first line is intended to create the variable for the name of your data center.  Let's simplify and say:

  $datacenter = "MyDC".

  The following line uses the import-csv cmdlet to import the csv file into the $vmfolder variable.  The context is variable = import-csv .  In this case he would seek a file named MyDC-records-with - FolderPath.csv.  The. -indicates the current directory. If you want to change it and do not use the variable, you can simply use a line like this:

  Basically you can drag folders with pictures directly in the window of Photos or the Photos icon in the Dock.

  Or use the command "file > import" and select the folder in the file selector Panel.

  The Photos appear in the album last import. And pictures will warn of possible duplicates.

  But if you want to create albums for folders in the Finder, use an Apple Script.  Can't stand the pictures to match the folder structure in the finder for albums.  See this tip for the user:

• With IE8, I could copy a graphic from a Web page and paste it into Excel (each entry has appeared in his own cell) - is there a Firefox setting that allows me to do this?

  The question < bit much > says it all - there are several financial web sites that provide the account chart activity. With IE8, I could copy the mires and paste them into Excel with each "category" mentioned in individual cells (text and digital). This allows for monitoring and handling and, at least in some cases, was better than the "Download" function provided. When I try it with Firefox, all data is pasted into a single cell (reminds me of a delimited file importing - if digital indicators / text or cells separators are not identified correctly Excel will import all the data into a single cell).

  There is a known issue with Mac Office versions prior to 2007 version that results in release of Clipboard does not correctly supported. Firefox 3.0, being a more recent application, using the new format for the HTML Clipboard data. Unfortunately, Office 2004 and Office X do not support this.

• Select a MS Excel worksheet by name rather than by index

  LabVIEW 2010 running on a Windows machine - I have the code to work with Excel; Save a local copy of a workbook, and update cells in a worksheet (see table) - I don't remember, probably altered from a few examples. Is this code accesses a spreadsheet of the index, but my client will add leaves to the model, so the index may change. I think that by selecting a worksheet by name would be a more robust solution, but I can't find a property to do so.

  Anyone know if this is possible? Maybe a sample somewhere?
