Import the MP4 of in Captivate 5

An e-learning developer colleague told me that MP4 can be imported into Captivate 5.  I looked in my training books and I may have missed, but I can't find where it says this is allowed.  Nobody knows with certainty whether MP4 can be imported?

Hello

I think that what Lilybiri was that, when you import the MP4, Captivate converts to FLV. Because the conversion may take a long time to perform, you are allowed to continue to work in Captivate while "in the background" MP4 is completely transformed.

The net result is that it will not be a MP4 when Captivate, that it presents to the Viewer. It will be a FLV.

See you soon... Rick

create dvd Windows will not import the mp4, how to get around it, someone knows?

It must convert your mp4 to WMV format video, and then add the wmv in Windows DVD Maker.

There are other formats supported by Windows, but I chose WMV format because it is the most reliable and foolproof format for Windows.

You can google for a free video converter. No need to buy one, unless you are a 'huge' in the making of films and others.

I use Prism video converter. It's free.

I'm not fan of movie maker. Prism is what I need it to do.

How to import the mp4 in InDesign? All I get is the "failed to import" a message @.

It seems that iMovie did not create a valid MP4 file. If you have InDesign CS6, you should also have installed Adobe Media Encoder in your Applications folder. Open and he re - save in the SOUL, and then re-import. (I have had no problem whatsoever with MP4 files in InDesign, but never export them from iMovie). You can also use another video encoding utility of your choice.

  • PS CS5 - will not import the MP4 video to layers

I recently installed Photoshop CS5 on my Mac OS X because CC tends to run slowly.

I use Photoshop primarily to make GIFs (Tumblr).

However, when I try to import video frames to layers, video MP4 are grayed out. AVI videos are not, but the screen is blank when I try to import those, and the layers are black. The only way to "solve" this question is if I change the extension on a MP4 file to AVI. so I can import video frames to layers. But I don't want to have to do this for all of the videos that I want to use, and there must be a better solution.

I have been through a lot of sons of people having the same problem, so a few quick things:

    • I have Quicktime installed and updated. This isn't the issue.
    • I have the extended version, not the issue or the other.
    • I went from 64 bit to 32 bit (because the import of video images on layers is apparently not possible at all on 64-bit), so this isn't the problem
    • Some people have said to change to "all file types", but as you can see in the screenshot as, I don't have this option

Need help please, there must be a way to solve this problem

There are two ways, but you'll find maybe easier to use Bridge > tools > rename batch to change the extension to .avi

Perform tasks on the Tools menu, commands rename files and carpet auto HDR and panoramic images

    Here sample videos

To download the sample videos / video model for use of the demo

Another way would be to open the MP4 video in the use of photoshop cs5 file > open

Then you can work in mode Timeline or convert images to Animation using the menu drop-down timeline

    Flatten the images in layers

    Make frames from layers

    Convert animation to image

  • How can I properly import the .mp4 videos? (LR4 will not import some of them)

    Here's the question:

I have original .mp4s that have been made either with my GoPro (1st generation) or with a video camera (I forgot what kind) and the present seem to matter very much but the .mp4s I really want to import are revised versions that have been edited in Corel Photostudio in 1080 p or 720 p .mp4 windows also indicates that they are .mp4 his .mp4 also says file extensions, but when I go to properties the edited videos look as if they are audio files, but they play fine in windows media player (and I can see the video content) regarding unpublished originals; same thing I can see/play them very well.

I don't understand why LR4 can't import it? I tried to do a conversion; but the conversion in the same resolution, keep there tend to want to high range to expand video and more grainy converted/upgraded versions ARE unwearable too.

Y at - it that a .mp4 format specific/codec LR4 will no accept? If yes what is it?

If the problem is that the mp4 out of Corel, is possible that you are using a flavor of MP4 which is not supported by Lightroom? Are there options for export in h.264 or something else?

Strange: the old version of first CC on the same system still work WITH the files on my mac first CC (2014) important files without any problem.

    MP4 files are UHD (3840 * 2160) 25 p PCM Audio of Panasonic GH4

    Anyone had the same problems?

    Greetings

    Chris

Rename the folder the clips are in and try again.

  • Previously, you could use the mp4 files. Now when any mp4 file is a project unless it is a new project file only shows audio when you drag a package but you can see the preview of the video. WTF is underway.

have not edited using first pro in a while. I recently had a new intro for a video made and had everything to see how it looks in a project that I just changed before and still work to do on. Not knowing anything is bad I import the mp4 in the file project, and note that it looks like this 77264721af38ccf90e95cad20b71abe2.png this means that you can import the audio in the timeline panel and yet I can see the video right there and when I open it up to an extract the file I can still see the video. After that I noticed this, I learned that other files mp4 which worked perfectly in the past now had this problem as well. I don't know what is happening on all I want to know how I can fix that I need this job that I use all the time a lot of files is in mp4.

Found the problem be! It seems somehow that I have disabled the video portion of the timeline where it says V1. After allowing everything worked perfectly, I feel really stupid, but if anyone has this problem in the future, now, you know what to do

As I suggested previously, conversion to a format like
. WMV before you import it into Movie maker may be the solution.

The free Converter from Microsoft can be a place to start:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

Download Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) (freeware)
    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=24601
    (runs under WinXP SP3 / Vista / 7)

    When you install the program...
    Start Microsoft Expression Encoder 4
    (Start / programs / Microsoft Expression /)
    Microsoft Expression Encoder 4)

On the "Load a new project" screen...
    Left click... "Transcoding project '...

When the program opens, click on... File / import...

(If at any time you get lost while browsing
the program of... to... Window / active Reset
Type or workspace... CTRL + SHIFT + R)

Look for the file/s that you want to convert.
(If files do not appear... open the fall
    window and choose... All files)

Click (highlight) left the files and the left on the Open button.

You can see the files in the "Multimedia content" pane

In the right column... left click on the tab "Output"...

Open the drop directory window and choose an output folder.
(This is where you will find your converted file)

On the left, click on the button "encode".

Wait... video encoding CPU intensive and can
be a slow process. It is always best if you do not have
    multi-task while files are encoded.

Now... try import you again. File WMV in Movie Maker.
