Import the old Netscape 7.2 emails

I have emails in various files (due to some accidents of Netscape) created until the year last by Netscape 7.2 I found extremely easy to use and understand how to use. Unfortunately I had a permanent crash and can not reinstall 7.2 but want to save some e-mails that contain old family photos as well as others containing codes to program. I thought that I would be able to read as msf files are involved. Ideas not too geeky?

Download an older version of the FTP site... say Version 3.1 and it has to import your old messages from netscape as part of the installation. Later, you can upgrade to a version of the latter, but older versions have the best support for the import of Netscape.

    Hello

If I import the old captivate (version 4/5) of files in captivate 9 I lose all my texts and a few balloons also.

Strangely, it gets worse, because it didn't happen two hours ago, but now I can't open any old file without losing my texts

    Bug or my mistake?

    Thank you for helping me!

OK, I'll try with intermediate versions. But it's a bug anyway. If I restart my PC, the problem is gone.

  • How to stop mail to import the old emails after installation of El Capitan

I have the e-mail program on my iMac that is linked to an account hotmail before El Capitan I could open a mail and click 'x' at the bottom of the e-mail window main to prevent downloading of emails on the linked account. The 'x' is gone and everytime I open the mail it starts downloading emails from 4 years old I want not downloaded on my computer. I like having the configuration of the e-mail on my desk so I can send a quick message without having to open the hotmail acct but don't need or want messages from this account to automatically start the download/import. I went into the preferences of mail and changed the check for new messages in manual, but it always starts download/import as soon as I open the mail. It's like a race for me to get my outgoing message composed and sent, so I can leave mail as quickly as possible to try to minimize the number of old emails this import in the program. Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. I want to keep synchronized on the e-mail account, just use it for outgoing messages sent. Is this possible?  Why they did eliminate the option in the main window to stop the import? Very frustrating. :-(

Hotmail has recently changed from POP to IMAP initially. These changes (and others) are because of that.

  • How to import the old iMovie library

Searched the Internet but nothing helped.

I finally decided to use the new iMovie app (version 10? 2013 version? is the one with the purple icon). I have been using the old version of iMovie all this time. How to import my old library iMovie and projects in the news? What I found on the internet that says that when I start to iMovie for the first time, it is supposed to prompt me to do it, but it's not.

Hold down the Alt/option key at startup to iMovie, so that it points to the library. After iMovie will remember.

  • Important the old export

Did not work in APEX for a long time, I was asked to restore an Apex application dated about 2 years ago. After installing XE 11 g and APEX 4.1.1 I tried to import the application that was created under the XE 10 g/APEX 2.3 (?), I received the message: file is not an export file valid workspace.

What should I do to restore this export?

    Thank you

    Yivon,

Looks like you are trying to import a workspace instead of an application. I think you need create the workspace in the admin section, and then connect you to the workspace and import demand.

  • How to turn on the old box of Inbox.dbx is visible in Outlook Express?

    Original title: outlook express.

My Inbox.dbx OE Inbox is full. When I create the new Inbox.dbx box, I can send/receive emails but can not see my old mails which is very important for me. So please give me any suggestions so that I can see the e-mails of my two different boxes.

You can't have two different boxes.  If you get a message stating that your Inbox is full, it is perhaps on the server and not from OE itself.  This means that there are too many messages on the server and you need to clean them out of it.

Otherwise, if the message is that the Inbox is too large, then you must create a new Inbox and you can try to import the old one using a different name for the folder.  See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#imp1

Dbx files should not exceed two gigabytes in size, so if you have one of this size or close, you have to move messages to other folders so that when they are analyzed in smaller size files.  Folders in OE will not exceed a few hundred megabytes or they will be damaged and you lose messages.

It is also a good idea at this point to make a backup.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#6

  • Import of old Chrome bookmarks... (?)

On my 2007 iMac, running OS x 10.6.8 with the latest compatible version of Chrome, and I received a warning that this (old) version of Chrome would soon no longer be supported. no surprise, as he was still of time for an update of the system. I was happy to know that I would be able to run El Capitan on the old Mac, so I backed up using Carbon Copy Cloner and a clean set of El Capitan.

The question I have is how do to import my favorites from (old) Chrome - I probably should I have exported them before I wiped the system, but I thought I could just import the old bookmark from my backup file. I have a file "Bookmarks.bak" and another one called simply "bookmarks" no file extension manifest. I think that if I could find an old Mac running an earlier version of Chrome that I could import and then export them as HTML...? I know not--a bit lost for what to do here, and any idea would be appreciated, thanks.

    Tom

When I rename the file bak in html and try to import into Chrome, nothing happens. I see when I open the file in a browser tab has it all bookmarks and URLs, etc. in the text, so I don't know if there is a problem of formatting... (?)

  • Out with the old blackBerry Smartphones, turned to the future.

So I recently expressed interest semi drooling over a "BOLD" of customers, and they looked like, you want my old one, so on that day, I entered the a 8700 Chantal.

And I love it. Wow. The moment I got my hands on one of these bad boys, life changing I can't wait to get a "BOLD". Wow they are so awesome.

in any case, if the phone is saturated from the previous addresses of owners and contacts and text messages.

I have downloaded the software ABC Berry beautiful, made a backup of the blackberry, flat, backup, exported all the old owners info and emailed them to him.

So I jumped my sim in my W810i, found the copy all contacts to sim card option, did.

Took my sim card, threw my w810i in the trash can and popped the SIM in the blackberry. (I'm kidding I gave the phone to a friend)

So now, I have a blackberry that is nicely backed up and a sim card with all my contacts.

How to do a master reset/clean slate/lobotomy to the blackberry and then load all contacts on the sim card.

I have to be delayed, cause, this shouldn't be so hard, but can't find the charge or reset options anywhere.

Thanks for any help. see you soon

OK, then the wheel button in the address book, phone book sim, wheel button copy all.

    Wooo wooo wooo.

  • LR 6 will not import my old catalog.

All of a sudden in creative cloud, I have two versions of LR - LR 5 in 'Previous Versions' and LR6. When I start LR6, it tells me to update my catalog. Wonderful. If I choose it seems to do nothing (a token progress bar appears for about 3 seconds) then LR6 opens with a gloriously empty catalog. If I try to simply import the old catalog it does exactly the same thing: claims must be updated, says it has updated and then matter anything.

    What should I do?

    Hi elfstone

    Greetings.

    • Manually, locate your original catalog on which you have your data.
    • Right-click on it and click Open with - Lightroom
    • Click on upgrade now and that should do the trick.

  • Can I import an old profile and prevent deletion of old emails that no longer exist on the server?

I removed all the emails from the server and archivated them locally. A few days later, I reinstalled my windows, but I forgot to save the profile Thunderbird.

I have an old backup, but whenever I try to use it, it doesn't (of course) delete all emails that do not exist on the server. Is it possible to avoid this automated sync or remove before opening the profile?

Looks like you are using an Imap account.
If you just try to save emails residing in mbox files (mbox files don't have any extension)

Make sure Thunderbird is closed before doing anything in the profile folder.
If you are familiar with the profile folder, you can copy paste the mbox files (without extension) in the account of 'Local folders' which is located in the folder "mail".
and then restart Thunderbird. the indexing file (.msf) will automatically be created.

    OR
Try to import them using a tool in "local folders".
    ImportExportTool addon:

    How to install the addon:
Download file as addon for desktop or downloads folder.

    In Thunderbird
Tools > icon menu or modules > Modules

    • Click the gear icon and select "install the addon from file".
    • Find the downloaded as file and click 'open '.
    • You have to restart Thunderbird.

Make a right click on the "Local Folders" folder or another folder in "Local folders"
Choose "ImportExporttools" > "file Mbox import.
Select "Import directly one or more mbox files" and click OK

Find the folder of mbox files backup profile
Select mbox files, and then click 'open '.
It has to import the folder containing emails.

You need to ask your old internet service provider. They are the ones in control.

  • My system drive crashed, but my emails were on another disk - how to make the old import Thunderbird (newly installed) files on the other disk?

My system (c) drive crashed and I had to buy a new one. Former Thunderbird has been installed on the D: drive and my emails are also stored on this drive, but I don't know where. Under "Program Files - Mozilla Thunderbird" on the D: drive there are a lot of files and directories, but none of them are very large, so they cannot possibly contain gigabytes of old emails. Now, I installed new Thunderbird to the new C: drive and I do not know how to get the old emails is displayed. Please, suggest...

"Normally, all your data is stored under the username C:\Users\"your windows "\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\profiles\"something.default"\ (this profile directory usually ends with .default)

Under C:\Program Files\ Thunderbird\ are only program files, no data.

    CHANGE ("C:\Program Files (x 86) \Thunderbird" If you have a 64-bit pc)

Do a search of ImapMail or mail (a directory inside your profile) on your old drive.

  • I can not express outlook to work on this laptop. Emails from test provider sent e-mail that came on the old laptop, but not this one. Error code indicates that there is an error with the password.

I can not express outlook to receive or send emails usning my other e-mail account.  Their support had me through each entry several times but I still have an error code indicating that my password is incorrect.  The provider to reset the password and I did the change in outlook and it says that the password is incorrect.  They suggested that there may be a software problem in my outlook express.  Your thoughts?

Completely remove the account. Restart, and then add it again. Who help me? If this isn't the case, you can get enough to try a new identity?

You may have a damaged identity especially if it's the default main identity. File | Identities | Add the new identity. Create a new one and try it. If all goes well, you can import your messages and address book from the old identity and delete it.

Note: Do not use the main word in the name of the new identity.
